I long to see emotional honesty. Charles Finney was extremely wise by the Holy Spirit, in this area. He knew that the flesh was satisfied in excitement long before the Holy Spirit brought the fruit of emotional honesty and truthful repentance. He guarded heavily against too much excitement as he moved men deeper into conviction. Like a hysterical person sees fear where there is none, a euphoric person sees deliverance where there is none. Peaceful fruit of repentance is coming from our Father to His people and I’m so thankful!
