    Spent about four hours chasing what I thought was a bad coolant leak on a fresh Porsche build. Ended up making sure the unit itself can hold vac and it doesnt! Once you close the valve vac is instantly gone even when plugging the unit directly.

      Thank you for reaching out. This is not the expected performance of this unit. We would be more than happy to replace it with a new one. Feel free to email us:ares@arestool.com

    I bought this exact coolant vacuum filler for my Jeep but when I go to put a vacuum on the system A: I can't get it anywhere close to 20/25 (mine is about 10) and the entire time I'm pulling a vacuum it's shooting coolant exhaust out the vent. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

      Hey Marc! A few troubleshooting notes upfront: make sure that the coolant fill line is completely closed when pulling the vacuum. If the fill port is closed while pulling the vacuum and the vacuum pressure is only pulling to 10PSI we definitely want to investigate further. We're more than happy to chat if you want to email or call us to troubleshoot this with you - you can even send us a video of the issue! arestool.onsitesupport.io/ticket/add

    What is the outlet female for? Black in color

      I believe you're asking about the port on the body. That is the air vent (exhaust). The compressed air goes across a Venturi to create the vacuum and it exhausts through that port.

    2019 jeep wrangler jl sport 3.6 does not have radiator or drain plug, so for this how do you flush and refill coolant on this jeep?

  • @greatswagga3278

    Do you let the coolant drain from the radiator and hose before using this? Looking for a faster coolant flush alternative.

    • @ARESTool
      @ARESTool  Год назад +1

      Yes, the cooling system should be drained before using the ARES 15027 kit to test for leaks and refill coolant. Thanks for reaching out!

    What's the smallest air compresser I can get for this to work

    • @ARESTool
      @ARESTool  Год назад

      For the product to function properly and be able to pull a full vacuum on the system the compressor would need to have a pressure between 100-150 PSI. We recommend using around 120 PSI or above.
      But more importantly the flow rate (CFM) must be a minimum of at least 2.5 CFM to work properly. Another consideration: if the tank of the compressor is too small (like 1-2 Gal.), then the compressor will constantly run trying to maintain pressure. The larger the tank, the easier it is for the compressor to maintain consistent pressure. Hopefully this helps!

    That's supposed to go in the radiator cap?

      The best place to use this tool is the highest point of the cooling system, which may be the radiator cap or coolant expansion tank (dependent on what vehicle you are servicing.) Kinda a late reply but nevertheless figured I’d leave something for the next person who doesn’t know
