Nice sleds! I'm sure you will get them to run superbly once everything is set up! I have a 2013 M1100 with a somewhat moody reverse/forward. With your excellent explanation of the mechanism I now know where to start looking! Good one!
Barn of parts sled salvage sells a manual reverse lever to lock these in forward in case of a shift motor failure. Not a bad idea and not too expensive.
Those are some damn nice runs, those sleds are moving! I wouldn't mind watching because it does take alot of horses when 100+ is passed and glad you got your sled back in order. Great Video Pete 👍👍 I saw some people making radar runs so I asked to check my 91 Jag LT 44mph at 7950rpms😁 I made a bunch of trips checking my 120 mile long trapline and hauling loads of firewood home no complaints so far.
@@SuperBigdannoshe usually runs at 7,500 or less I had a 60/40 mix of AVGAS/Reg in my tank which made the RPM's high. Normally I'm traveling 15 - 25 traveling using 85 regular at 2500 to 3,000 then run 50/50 AVGAS for the haul home. Yeah she sounded kinda high I'll take that next time into consideration which is very much appreciated😁 I been hauling alot of firewood home this winter and this Darn Cat is strong. I dub it my SpruceCat😁
I say the same thing 😂 even doing 70 - 100 is still moving idc that is faster than I can run. Looking down to check the speed no thanks I almost got into a wreck checking doing 100+
Great video buddy! I love seeing the turbo stuff. Was thinking of maybe putting a turbo on my apex. And at least the cat has a Yamaha engine in it to tow another Yamaha. So it’s not that embarrassing. 😂
Love all the content Pete.... May I ask a question, plz?? How the hell you replace a coolant temp sensor on a 22 CTEC 2 8000....do you need to pull the motor??? Interested in a project, if so???
The combination of old school muscle chassis with custom fabricated turbo power is unequaled in my opinion. Also how it looks in action, the custom carb caps plus the 40psi. BOOST!! Best of both worlds very cool and mean. Great job Pete.
Love watching ya videos Pete, wishing I could drop my cat off to you for some work to be done, in the shop now for 2 weeks and still have no idea what the problem is 😢
everyone says they'll do 120 mph but I've never seen a stock one hit that in a 1/4 mile...maybe 2000 feet on glare ice? only sidewinders I've ever seen hit 120 mph in a quarter mile have been tuned and clutched 🍻
@@rednecksdirtyhands I think I’m gonna keep my F7 I put a new track on it and did a little bit of modification to the motor. Although I just ga e my buddy $400 for the f5 he said no and instead I got a fire cat 1000 for the $400 bucks and a keg of beer 🍺
Awesome videos buddy and them four strokes are fast up on top but being a old school two stroke guy the four strokes sound like shit kinda like a hoover vacuum cleaner
I see you load up youre weights at the pin but if you only do radar runs you should put youre weight at the tip and maybe lower youre rpm 200-300 it should help out for youre mph
haha they are fast and reliable right outta the box but just like Ricky Bobby I wanna go fast! modifying and squeezing all the power ya can get outta something is what us gear heads and hotrodders have done since the invention of the first engine!! the day the second car was made so was racing!! lmao it might not make sense to everyone but to people like me that grew up watching Tim the tool man Taylor we always need MORE POWER!! UGGHH UGGHH 🤣🍻
Your not telling me nothing about modifying things I build street rods pulling trucks racing bikes I’ve done it all it’s just it no it’s 63 I find it that I wasted a lot of my time modifying things instead of enjoying them
Maaaan that's a ton of money to not even hit 130 mph...no bs I blew up my bone stock polaris 2 stroke 600 at 132 mph one day...talk about your heart skipping a few beats when she locked up going that fast!! But I paid $4,500 for that snowmobile. It was a 2007 polaris iq 600 with clean fire injection and bone stock with a ripsaw track. I never modded it, but now I want to hit 150 mph on the lake. And keep in mind I didn't have studs in my track and I only weighed maybe 150lbs at the time.
unfortunately for the high speeds outta these sleds it all depends on good conditions out on the lake. need good smooth ice to go fast! it was slushy and slow conditions out that day. Billy's sled has hit over 140 mph many times in a little more than 1/4 mile in good conditions 🍻
Arctic cat pulling yomama that's what I call a nice one 😆 great video
🤣 thanks! 🍻
"NICE ONE" pete. I absolutely love your videos. Yomama is a beauty.

I feel your pain last weekend head out for sled rally made it 4.2 k.m the rollers broke in the driven clutch

Have you expirimented with removing the transfer rod out of the rear skid ?
I did the same thing took my gears off but I put a collar with a set srew on those rods so the gear could not move👍🏻
now that's a good idea right there! 🍻

Tell paul lay off the beer or he'll need a bigger snowmobile suit lol
Watching these 4 stroke Turbo Winders has me questioning my 2 stroke or die loyalty lol... Not much , just a tiny bit... Dammit
🤣 cheers 🍻
Where's the old Thundercat? Coolest and meanest sled in the fleet by far.
still got it! just been busy doin some other projects but she's still the king Dangler!!! lmao 🤣🍻

taking those weights from the tip is a huge change maybe take a few from the middle..?

I'm surprised you haven't machined something yet to delete that electric motor!
I've been thinking about it! 🍻
Got a stage 3 z1 that’s scary fast only issue is it runs hot any ideas I mean I get temp light n have to stop it’s fing annoying 😊
No i have no scratchers … she’s a 2010 I put so much into it that until I get absolutely destroyed wich with 230 hp isn’t easy I love this sled
hard to say but if it's overheating on long pulls on the lake or low snow conditions maybe try a set of ice scratchers? might help..🍻
Tear them motors down build them up to run nitro😂
Did the xc 700 win?
it was 50/50 against the F7 🍻
