Out of all the western developed silent hills, origin is without question the best. 11:31 thats literally the point sh1/3 is a projection of alessa/heathers fears
Jokes, editing, timing, your scripts are excelent. And the voice of @thegamingmuse always takes me to the spooky mood of Silent Hill :D In SH1 if you enter the final fight without ammo for any gun, and you shoot the boss with every gun "showing" him that you have no bullets, it dies after a minute or so
I have a weird soft spot for Origins. I feel like they wanted to explore some really interesting themes like childhood neglect/abandonment and sleasy adults. But the writing isn't quite tight enough to make it work. Also, great video! Glad you liked the original SH.
Great video but just two things: Alessa was fresh out the ritual that burned her so she was using Travis traumas to make him help her: that's why Travis uses the mirrors, his mother apparently used the mirrors to "travel to the otherside" and by defeating their inner demons, she gets the Flauros back in one piece (hidden by Dahlia so Alessa couldn't use it)so it can be used to imprison the demon that was supposed to impregnate her, which was a bit too late, although on a last effort, she divides her soul in two so the God can't be born... Only by the end, Alessa starts to get some sort of control of the Other world, that's why the last shift, with her levitating outside Alchemilla, happens without Travis touching a mirror. If that makes sense 😂 I subscribed to your channel by the way, it rocks 🖤
Go load up your silent hill and use all your ammo before you enter the boss Battle then after switching between guns and showing him they’re empty he will die, dispose of all your other stuff too so you have like nothing
I was 3 minutes into a video with someone crying about the FF7 remake… so I put this on instead. 2 minutes in I decided to like and subscribe. You got good content man. Keep it up!
Silent Hill is Travis' Roadhouse Origins was always low key my fav in the series. If I'm being really rational about it all, its not the best but even then I still have it top 3. I liked its expansion of the melee system and being able to use what felt like every item. I'm not gonna say Origins influenced Dead Rising...but.......... Good review dude. Fun watch, fun references, fun writing.
Dang, didn't expected to see avalanche on your channel, that's pretty wild ! Great video btw, your writing keeps getting better and better, keep it up 👌
Will you put your fingers on the glass and seek to understand your torment? Or will you wait until the darkness on the other side learns to breathe and makes it's way into your own waking reality, germinating tumorous beneath your feet. Or alternatively, will you accept what's in front of you AND CONFRONT IT!? . . . . *With confidence* I KILLED IT WITH A TOASTER Best speech and ending ever 😂
Great vid!! Very entertaining! My favourite SH is the first one by far. That game leaved a trace on me. Of all the western SH games this was a decent one. The best one was Downpour (beside being buggy it was great). Homecoming does not exist.
This video was actually awesome and I'm hoping that someday you go back and do a video on the second Silent Hill or maybe any of the other silent hills. Hell I'll be here for basically any horror game I would love Resident Evil or Silent Hill or Fatal Frame or alone in the dark
when i was like 10 i got a huge pack of games inside a case, in the case an original copy of silent hill, mind you this is mexico, so i put it in, and kong sotry short even if could not go beyond the first section cause the disc looked like a fork played it, it left a huge inprint in my work and self.
DW bro im with u, i LOVE Origins!! It was also my introduction to Silent Hill. The first time i played it on the PSP I was too scared to continue so i left it alone for 2 years 😆I later went back to it and i was still just as scared! But i had no internet so i stuck to it and i finished it! multiple times actually, i think i got all the endings. All the bonus weapons were so fun! but man that game is SCARY! The industrial sounding BGM in the otherworld, only pausing slightly to hear a heart beating, unsure if its part of the game or is it my own? it still haunts me to this day, the sound design was perfect! playing at 2am alone in the dark... nope im not doing that again 😂 I played SH1 after that and then I wanted to play SH2 and 3 on the PS2 but to be quite honest with u, I was just too scared so i never did lmao Now that the remake is out, i still refuse to play it 🤪
I think the evil existed before alessa. I think it was always in that area even when settlers came and massacred the natives but that massacre changed whatever power was there for the worse. That's what I can remember from the comics and books
Oh you played the ps2 version? I was able to pay psn prices for the psp download version a few years ago and really enjoyed my time curled up with this game in the dark
I think I prefer Silent Hill 1 still, Origins had neat ideas even tho they retcon somethings, and the plot was kinda redundant at the same time, weapons breaks and there's monsters QTE, and can break your throwable weapons when doing the QTE, and the Silent Hill Western made games always have that Americanize horror tone (that is kinda predictable) of a style, and not that alien or foreign horror tone. Mostly the Western games got neat ideas but bad story telling and bad executions in some parts, wanting more "action-horror"
Silent hill Origins is... an okay game. For the PS2 era of Silent Hill games, it's definitely the weakest of them. I didn't mind the ability to control when you enter the Otherworld, but the disposable weapons system was not fun. And the story was constrained hard by having to maintain and set up stations of canon established in the original game.
Next time u fight the final boss in sh1 empty all ur ammo.i mean all of it before u fight the boss and approach the boss with no ammo it's the game let's u win
thanks haha and yeah, i do everything i can not to look up guides on anything in the games i play so i can get the most genuine experience possible, and i definitely wouldn’t have known that without a guide haha
It's cool man it's cryptic af 😂@@Mortuary_Gaming fun fact, the movie "stay alive" with Frankie muniz, the boss gives the employee tips on how to beat silent hill 4 and it's this strategy he tells him. But it doesn't work in silent hill 4, just silent hill 1
@@Mortuary_Gaming that's sick man! It's in the first 15-20 minutes that she is mentioned. I'm watching your obscure video right now as we speak, your quality is brilliant and I can't say that dudes name either, even at half speed 😂
This was so enjoyable to watch! I really appreciate the time to talk with you and feature here :D
Thanks for asking me on! It was a ton of fun
It's funny having almost no ammo for the final fight of silent hill 1, since the boss just kills itself if you actually have no ammo.
Out of all the western developed silent hills, origin is without question the best.

I confirm !
This quality with only 1k subs?! You've got to be kidding me! I love old school horror games and silent hill is dear to my heart. You earned a sub!
Man, I can’t believe this channel has less than 2k subs, your style and sense of humor/timing is really stellar!!
thank you ☺️

My favorite Silent Hill game, one of my favorite games of all time. That ending was beautiful. Great video.
I love it so much as well~

totally agree Origins was one of the best Silent hill games! I just would have liked the graphics could have been as good as Sh4 and sh3
Awesome man! Glad you likes SH1 so much. Your killing it man!
THIS ENTIRE VIDEO IS PURE CORNFED AMERICAN DIESEL
Always love the Death Metal references. Really cool how you found a room in Silent Hill that looks so close to that Severe Torture cover.
With a final declaration like that I had no choice but to subscribe, brilliant work dude.

Harry, Heather and Travis are the strongest Silent Hill protagonists
i couldn’t possibly agree more
7:52 I effin lost it at "cavalcade" HAHAHAHA
Finally someone who loves this game
Love your cadence!
Fuck yeah, dude. That ending monologue was the tits.
Travis is literally me
GOG only having The Room available is a travesty. With the success of SH2 remake, we need these games available
Just subbed
Interesting perspective

hey! good news for you, i’ve also done a silent hill 2 video! and i’ll be covering every ps2 horror game 🤝

Travis is so cool, I love him. I gotta play this game. He’s just a cool guy that I’d love to share a drink with

do you like that its canon that travis was stuck driving through silent hill forever? (homecoming)
Homecoming doesn't make that canon....?
I never heard of a game that fucks lol
I think I prefer Silent Hill 1 still,

8:53 yo, what's this bopping tune?
30:38 that oughta be on a shirt.
8:53 is something i wrote! most of the music here is mine haha essentially anything synthy
30:38 i agree 😂
Travis is a serial killer
Maybe there's no canon proof from my understanding but I'm going to play it just to see the truth fully .
17:33 shouldve emptied you ammo then the final boss wouldve killed himself
unless you picked up hunting rifle ammo then you wouldve been screwed
bro you didnt convince me at all

well the music was good i admit
also think there are worse silent hill games
many worse
"i softlocked myself" bruh, no you didnt. use all your ammo before starting the final boss fight and the boss dies straight away on it's own.
The video was banger though 💯
thanks haha and yeah, i do everything i can not to look up guides on anything in the games i play so i can get the most genuine experience possible, and i definitely wouldn’t have known that without a guide haha

Didn't play the original as well, but loved the 2nd
Why do these dweebs think every horror game has to have weak pitiful characters.Travis is bad ass and survival means anything necessary
Silent hill 1 is good
r/suddenlycaddicarus
Worst silent hill game and I played them all, such a dull and uneventful journey , all you do is checking what doors are open. Good opening song tho.
wasnt the ps2 version the one that was extremely hard to see compared to the psp one?
worst port ever lol
Never beat this game. Got lost in the asylum or whatever. Maybe I'm still there.
“legend has it, dave is still there to this very day”
