Anderson's songs always a fine treat.....GREAT AMERICAN music....
Since I was a kid....I loved everything he wrote.
Me, too.
It's a real shame that most orchestras so rarely do performances of pieces like this for instruments like trumpets.
I totally agree. I have appreciation for all instruments but no instrument is as noble, bright, impressive or bold as the trumpet. The trumpet heralded kings and marched armies into battle.
I would actually argue the opposite, trumpets may not be "featured" but they are melody for a good portion of any song, so I'd honestly say other instruments are not heard enough compared to trumpet
My music teacher recently gave me this piece, wish me luck boys
Lmao same
How did it go? I'm currently playing it for my solos and ensembles competition.
one of the hardest songs ever written for trumpet.
An excellent rendition of a most difficult composition! Kudos!!! Precise and thankfully, the trumpets are IN TUNE with each other. Good ensemble playing.
柔らかい音色と繊細なダイナミクスとリズムが統一されていて、まるで1人で3本を吹いているようです。
Brilliant! The trumpeter's game is very tasty-musical trumpet touches just super. This is the best Bugler's Holiday.
My lips hurt just watching this. And I'm a double bassist 😅
Nice! Very crisp. Strong, clear bell tones.
Was reluctant to listen to this. (“Who can do BH any better than anyone else?”)
Glad I did.
my favourite performance. top notch. scored for Bb trumpets, but included an Eb - interesting combo.
good catch
Beautiful !!fast yet smooth as butter!! . . .is It me?? ... or did some of the symphony members seem bored as can be during this piece !! haha!
JerryStraley I noticed the same thing!
Those Trumpeters are so unbelievably tight, incredible players 👌
Bugler's Holiday. Fantastic performance, but not a single bugle!
Looks like one of them is on an E-flat trumpet. Interesting choice!
Speaking as a trumpet player, this Anderson piece is so much fun to play! You can criticize all day long folks, but, these musicians did a wonderful job at the tempo at
which they were directed. The orchestra was not drowned out by the trio. They were in tune with each other and the orchestra was spot on with them! In my humble opinion, Mr. Anderson would have loved this performance.
If the "viewers" realized the difficulty of the "double/triple tounging" involved, perhaps they'd SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!
Brilliant! The trumpeter's game is very tasty-musical trumpet touches just super. This is the best Bugler's Holiday. Блестяще! Игра трубачей очень вкусная-музыкальные трубные штрихи просто супер. Это-лучшее иполнение Bugler’s Holiday.
Bravo Glenn Fishtal!!!
Molto allegro Tres Bien!!
I love Buggers holiday
Glenn Fischtal playing lead, Chris Bogios playing second. Chris played for the orchestra for over 40 years and was one of the nicest guys you ever met. Who is that playing third?
I'd love to know who the female player discovering 3rd here. the 3 of them sound fantastic!
@@ertatta I don’t know her name, but she was a sub. It’s the summer orchestra, so probably a third or more of the musicians would have been stringers.
YES!!!
運動会だー
Yahoo!!!
Say Heah, I especially like to see a lady Toot a horn, I really enjoy that.,,. p
Performance is way too tight.
The SFS has really improved since this video
This is the summer orchestra, so it’s a largely different roster of players.
Fails to mention *Leroy Anderson* .
A little too fast and somehow unexciting.
