My cousin Steve Gorman was the drummer for this band for many years and because of that, I have loved this band since as long as I can remember hearing music. If someone asks me what music means to me, it would always fall to Black Crowes and the many songs that have touched me since a very young age.
Very cool that your cousin is Steve Gorman. I imagine he had many "interesting" stories to tell about the band, some of which made it into his book, no doubt. :)
I also have to say, while the band in this interaction in 2022 were still good, they didn't / don't have the same energy as the original band with your cousin and the other guys. I know performances can vary from gig to gig and maybe they were tired here (they look tired - and they are also older, obviously), but I don't think the reincarnation of the band is quite as good as the original members.
Southern music! Atlanta, Macon, Charlie, Blackberry Smoke, Black Crows, Larkin Poe, and all the rest..... You gotta love it!!! There's gotta be som'n in the water man. So much good music. Thank y'all🎼🇨🇦
Umm, it's not the same without Marc Ford (and Eddie Harsch). Anyone whose followed the band for 25+ years knows this. Charlie Starr is a fine player and everything, but this is straight by the numbers and pretty boring. CR's vocals are shot as well. I mean, the crowd looks thrilled here. haha
It's nice to see them getting back to their 90's roots, with Chris prancing and twirling the mike stand again! I missed seeing him strut during the jam band era.
for seeing 3 times Blackberry Smoke, I think Charlie Starr is probably the best blues rock guitar player this days. he is very humble in his solos, never overplay. always use the perfect notes. his sound is amazing and his feel also. I think he could be a guitar hero if he wanted too.
Robinsons and this band still rock the F out. I’ll never forget the first time I heard them. I texted my friend in Atlanta and said you gotta’ listen to this band they’re gonna’ be huge. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who thought that 🤘🐦⬛🤘❤️🤘
I love!!!!! That the black crows are on tour again. I've never had the chance that I've known of to see them in concert but at least this year 2022 someone is filming this so I don't have to go lol. They sound as good as I thought they would live.
Great Brotherhood between the musicians of Atlanta ! When the shows started going off again last year; Blackberry Smoke and The Black Crowes were 2 of the bands that I made sure I saw LIVE........wish I coulda seen this !
Dont mean to be contrarian ~ However..."Brotherhood?" Steve Gorman could use a little of that right now.. Black Crowes without Steve Gorman is...not the Black Crowes.
This guy is a better drummer than the kid they got now. I see a lot of trouble for them trying to replace Gorman. Seriously underestimated his importance to their sound.
Nice. But I can hear right away this version is in a lower key from the original, can't blame them coz 'Shake Your Money Maker' came out 33 years ago. What is the personnel?
Was looking forward to this reunion for years...But after hearing the first strike of the drum, obviously not Steve Gorman...The way the Robinson's have treated him is just, sad. Really. Pathetic Rock & Roll niggling... Without Steve Gorman on drums...meh. I hope he cleans your proverbial clocks in court.. Cheers 🍄🌲🍄💥✨🌈
Sure, the dude is 57 years old, so as you can hear this version is in a lower key than the original, most singers lose the high end of their vocal range/register as they age. Of course drinking and smoking and drugging don't help. You can probably also factor in genetics. Arguably some of the few cats who as far as I know haven't lost much if anything w/ age are Sammy Hager and Roger Daltrey. But it happens to most everyone.
This drummer doesn’t even come close to Steve Gorman. Sorry but without Steve the bands just not the same. Steve hit those drums like missiles this guy just hits likes a softie or a school girl.
Charlie Starr...... Cooler than the other side of the pillow!!

"The Umbrella Era"
Charlie Starr!!! What an awesome moment for him!
One of the BEST bands in Rock and Roll history ✌️
Thank you Chris and Crowes for some great rock and roll. The drummer is fantastic driving this classic.
It's Mothers day today and I want my " Black Crowes. " ❤
How awesome is this guy keeping his voice great over the years ?
Southern music! Atlanta, Macon, Charlie, Blackberry Smoke, Black Crows, Larkin Poe, and all the rest.....
You gotta love it!!! There's gotta be som'n in the water man. So much good music. Thank y'all🎼🇨🇦
Having Charlie playing with them is amazing. That being said, it's not the same without Steve G.

i agree 100%, seems tha black crowes unique voice was about mr Gorman grooving style
@@afmartin2734 Marc Ford wasn't even in the band when this song came out in 1990.
@@AndreAmeli
Gorman was the most important
member of the band. Marc Ford
comes close, but I gotta admit,
that they were still great with Luther. ✌️
Charlie is a tasty addition...over qualified yet seemlessly filling the voids while creating layers.
It's nice to see them getting back to their 90's roots, with Chris prancing and twirling the mike stand again! I missed seeing him strut during the jam band era.
Charlie!! Yes! I mean if we don’t have MFF, Charlie it’s the best option!

Holy cow, this is amazing with Charlie
❤yes ❤yes ❤❤❤

That's cool as hell brother. I love you Charlie

Charlie !!!! amazing!!
CHARLIE!!!!!!!!!!!! So damn good with the Crowes!!!!

Yeah Charlie!! Just what the Crowes lineup needs!! A great lead player!!!
Isaiah Mitchell is doing a great job
@@jamesperryman6433
Rich and Charlie are the guitar players.
@@theslime2975 I'm talking about generally on the tour. Charlie's on filling in for a show
Charlie makes it sound like Black Crowes again...a band!
Chris always sounds fukn awesome
Love this band too….there is so many ….but these are top 10
Nothing beats the original southern harmony tour, circa 1807. They killed it
This Is rock and roll, please visit Argentina!!!!
Chris is singing better than ever
Can't replace Steve Gorman or Marc Ford and still be a legit "Black Crowes"....should be called the Robinson Bros Revue.....
One of the best front man in rock, apologies to mick!
great and now with an Argentinian even more
Looks like the camera person has no idea who Charlie actually is.
Chris trying to hold his hat on is kinda funny.
Rich is a great guitar player, but does he ever look like he's having fun? My god man smile lol
He's there for the money, just like Chris.
He is very stoic when he plays. He’s into it, just serious.
He is the consummate Rock Roll Pro.
Good stuff.
This guy is a better drummer than the kid they got now. I see a lot of trouble for them trying to replace Gorman.
Seriously underestimated his importance to their sound.
Tuned down a full step. This version is in F, as opposed G which we most familiar with.
That's the main reason it sounds "sluggish"
WOW!!
Imagine if these guys had stayed together this whole time, unreal musical talent
Chris seems like he is doing so much better for himself since sobering up. Rich is the same as he’s been for a long time.
SO TRUE
Charlie Fuckin' Starr.
the Rrrrobinsonnnnss yeeeeeaaaaaa
don't lynch me but I'd really would like to see Tim Lefebvre on Bass like thei did on the Howerd Stern session :)
Bring back Steve 🆘
Campbell High School REPPING
🤘💛💛
They need Marc Ford back like right now
Where’s Marc…
He’s the shit
Nice. But I can hear right away this version is in a lower key from the original, can't blame them coz 'Shake Your Money Maker' came out 33 years ago. What is the personnel?
Is that Charlie Starr?
they're kinda like the last samurai except they're a rocknroll band
Awesome
The director took 30seconds to be aware that the solo has been from Mr Starr😢
The B3 is cookin....
& Steve can hold his own up against anyone...
Can't blame him for taking a little " Break "

Chris’ voice dosent seem the same
Oh I wonder why? Maybe because he's 30 years older.
@@mikeoxinya570 Many, many years of drugs and alcohol can’t help either.

Is it just me or are we a click too slow here.
Different pace is pretty common live. This is the kind of song where going a tad slower doesn't hurt it
Also in a lower key than the original.
Great sound! Shame about the obligatory F-Bomb at the end but sadly that's where the world is right now. 🙄
not the crowes
Why can’t brothers just get along?
Drumming is serviceable but really, Steve was so important to the functioning of this band. This just doesn’t swing like it should.
This guy is technically a better drummer. Never
liked SG's snare sound anyway.
@@tigerhawkz4402
OK...😂
Chris is going bald. You can see his palpable fear when the hat almost flies off
angry birds 😁
Still sounding great for a skinnynmann Chris.....why all the Charlie starrrr bullshit? He’s great but just another one of many
This drummer doesn’t even come close to Steve Gorman. Sorry but without Steve the bands just not the same. Steve hit those drums like missiles this guy just hits likes a softie or a school girl.
The guitar rig sounds awful.
Jesus this is sad to watch....knowing how much they hate each other. Anything for a buck
I don’t think they really have any beef anymore
Great
He sounds like Vince Neil live singing Dr. Feelgood
Fantastic! :-D
