I have a pothos that I nurse back to health. I have it surrounded by grow lights. It’s growing and looking awesome!! So awesome that I recently started watering it more often. I think that was a mistake. I now notices three leaves have yellowed. I’m going to cut back on the water and see if that makes a difference. Thanks for your video. I appreciate it. 👍🏾👍🏾
Wow, I got a pothos plant as a gift and I'm trying to figure out why some leaves are gettin yellow. This was one of the best and most informative videos I watched on this matter.
That’s so much for this video, my pothos was turning yellow and I definitely believe it what you said about the lighting. Didn’t think of that 🤦🏾♀️ thanks for sharing your knowledge and time with us 💕💕
That seems easy enough. I have mine in perlite and stone, no soil, but it is still thriving. I was assuming that when a leaf turns yellow, it’s like a hibiscus or a gardenia, once there’s a yellow leaf, if you start looking at the plant, then you will see more budding to flower. But now I’m going to move my pathos to a brighter window.
My pothos was thriving in my window seal, I thought it was getting too much light so o moved it, and it began to yellow in a group and I lost one leaf. Returned it back to the window. I’ll see how it does. 😊
I just repotted my pathos plant and overwatered it and put it in a more lighted area. We will see what happens. It's among a bunch of other plants so I hope it feels loved.
My photos has a yellow leaf when it's watered to much. I check the drain hole not from the top. The top can be dry but the pot holds water in the bottom. Mine is on a shelf with barely any light. The grow light is attached to a glass shelf with the grow light under it. They don't need sunlight it burns them. They are susceptible to root rot. Tap water isn't good for them. Wether it sits out or not . Filtered, rain, creek water, distilled or melted snow is the best. I never feed or fertilize them with any commercial products. It's 2years old I think. It has trailed to about 4 feet.
Thank you for this! Yet unfortunately I am still so confused. My pothos is having leaves turning yellow almost daily, yet it's getting good indirect sunlight, so I'm thinking it might be from overwatering, but I just watched another video that says you should water them whenever the top 1" of soil is dry, yet here you say it only needs it once a month, so I'm confused on what I'm actually supposed to do here 😭
My Pothos leaves are turning yellow in a group and saw that one of the leaves was easy to just pick off of its main stem. I think my problem is too much light since it’s summer and here in Az the sun is a lot stronger. Should I cut the yellow leaves off?
I have just potted some pothos slips after being rooted in water. The leaves are now curling and yellowing. Is it because it's getting accustomed to being in soil now?
Just bought a golden pothos plant on line. It arrived with yellow leaves, black tips on the leaves, as well as black areas on other areas of the leaves. Also black areas on the vines. Is this from transportation or did they sell me a sick plant? Would appreciate your opinion on this. 🤔 Thank you, have a great day.
Hi, my pathos is turning yellow on the leaves but also on the stem to the roots...(till it kill the piece) I did use wrongly a fertilize because isn't the only plant that's having this issue but is the only one that isn't getting better. I am checking for some suggestions and I just repot properly my plant... I think it will stress my plant out but I am going to move in to a bright room and I hope will feel better soon. If you have any suggestion please help I don't wanna lose this plant
I moved my Pothos from a room with little light to a room that is very bright but not direct Sun and I noticed the leaves are turning yellow. I haven’t watered it in about 2 weeks. Please help
I just got my first pothos. It was on the bottom shelf of a rack at lowes. I put it in my window under a covered porch (indirect sunlight) and the leave on the side that was initially in the window are yellow. I feel like it was just super intense for it from where it came from? 🤔 what do you think?
I have a very very large devil devil ivy plant and I put it outside during the summer time and I and I'm I'm bringing it during the Winter time it's about 2 and a 1/2 years old but now I am losing lots of leaves turning yellow I just cut 50 leaves off I was losing outside before brought in then 06 to 8A weeight a week now I just took 50 now the plants are stringing everywhere and the leaves are getting smaller the new starts are fine But I'm worried as to why they're turning yellow so fast I water once a week can you help me out
If it's due to over watering then why are the ones in the aquarium water not turning yellow from being in the aquarium water all the time? Makes no sense
I thought my gardenia plant was supposed to be a pain in the ass… but she’s the easiest to take care of!!!!!!!! We just get along… she’s I guess needy… I’m needy… we mesh! But pothos! My God !!!!!! The hardest plant I’ve ever taken care of! I swear to God if the soil isn’t bone dry…. I’m going to get some yellows but I keep running the risk of almost killing them. I already killed one…. (Watered it too soon … it was a little damp on the bottom.) in my opinion. They are hardest plant I’ve ever taken care of!!!!!!!! But I love them…. And I talk to them… and I’m on a mission to figure them out…
This guy‘s video is BS. Yes light is one of them but there’s so many more other reasons why which never even touched on! Won’t be watching anymore of his videos!

You nailed it, my Pothos living in water had reached the end of its lifespan. Thanks!

Your house is beautiful with those pretty different plants🌿
Holy!! I just found this by searching for pothos turned yellow! I hope all is going well with you!

Yes I’m scared they start yellowing when I have it to long under grow light.

Thanks for this video. Very helpful! 🌿💚

Mine turned yellow growing in water. What can I add to the water?
my marble queen is turning yellow and its breaking my heart
Great video, learned alot… i’m your 10th subscriber
This is my favorite plant. Do you have to have a pot that has holes in the bottom none of mine do, but they seem to survive

Macklemore?!
My pothos is turning yellow... It was so happy during winter. Summer came and its not happy :/ Im not too sure what to do to help it.
I moved my Pothos from a room with little light to a room that is very bright but not direct Sun and I noticed the leaves are turning yellow. I haven’t watered it in about 2 weeks. Please help
I thought you looked familiar! I also watch your aquarium videos.

I think the light if it’s direct sun it can cause yellow. My grow light causes it, so acclimate it a little at a time so it doesn’t stress or shock.
My Njoy pothos took 1 year to really start trailing!! IDK..they just do what they want!!!
I sadly only have one window where I live :( maybe I just shouldn’t have one till I can get an apartment where direct sunlight window is available
My pothos leaves have this reddish small bump spot and I don’t know why and how to treat it. And some of them are turning yellow.

Because the tank lights are giving them light. Makes perfect sense 🤷♀️

Hello new friend..👋👍😘❤️
Love the rug, where did you buy it
Mine turn yellow after I water it and waited too long.
Hi my pathos plant has yellow leaves and limp falling over.Do I cut them out? What do I do to get rid of the yellow and droopy leaves?
You can cut them off!
Ugh mine was overwatering it came super wet from home depot and I let it dry out and once I watered it got yellow 😭
If you have your receipt you can return it from Home Depot
If my plant is in water the main reason would be deficiency in sunlight right ?
Yeah. But also.. some leaves just naturally don’t make it
So lights don't work? Well, I'm screwed lol All I have is one sliding door window:(
You should link your main channel in this video 🤓
My leaves are looking burnt
Apparently they’re not indestructible my leaves are all yellow
1:32
Mostly its bc of root rot
