I’m not sure I ordered mine directly from the manufacturer. I don’t have those issues. Is it the same one? After pairing your headphone you don’t have any other setup it just works. You can mute and unmute the mic with the switch on the unit but I haven’t had any complaints about noise from pressing buttons or joysticks.
@@helphq yes Is the same model, this happen beacause the adapter use the built in mic plugged in and record from this position and not from the headphone. I switch on, pair, switch mic on.
I had the m5 headphones but I returned them in favor of bose. Don’t hate me 😉 I can’t test it though because I don’t have those headphones. The manufacturer claims it will work with any Bluetooth headphones. I use a pair of Logitech headphones with mine but I have also used AirPods without any issues.
You’re not late. Sony removed the function due to latency issues. You have to use a dongle in order to get Bluetooth to work on the PS5 now unless you use the remote play app.
For headphones that do not have a volume potentiometer you need to adjust the volume in the audio mixer within the Xbox sound settings. Easiest way to get to it is through the party chat audio settings.
Well I don’t notice any but that’s because I’m not on the phone with the people I’m talking too so I wouldn’t have anything to compare it too if that makes sense. I have noticed sometimes the mic cuts out. I’ll be talking and sometimes the people in my party either only hear fragments or they hear none of it. I’ve had this a while though. If there’s a newer model it may have resolved this issue.
Seems fine. No one has said anything about the quality to me. Since it is in the dongle though just be aware the farther away you hold the remote the less loud you will sound to other people. Similarly to putting someone on speaker phone then walking away from the phone a bit while talking.
So I don’t have anything to test this with but I would assume that it would pair to a Bluetooth speaker no differently than a pair of Bluetooth headphones. In theory it should work.
I bought this and I must be an idiot because I can’t get it to work. I have the correct controller trying to pair with my SonyXM4 headphones and my headphones will pair but I get zero sound.
I don't think you are an idiot. Are you sure they paired correctly? Mine took me a couple of tries to successfully pair them. I don't recall having to change any of the xbox settings either I think it just worked once it was paired. To date I still use mine and I just turn it on and turn my headphones on and it works. Do you have another pair of headphones you could try to test to see if it is your headphones or if it is the dongle that is the problem?
@@helphq I plugged them in and got the lights flashing, got the headphones in pairing mode and then did the pair on the device (I even tried in reverse to see if that changed anything) and my headphones will say “paired” and the flashing light on the adapter stops and goes solid but still no sound. My headphones came with a cord that I can plug into my controller and attach to my headset and I get sound but just ruins the whole “wireless” feel lol. Thanks for the problem solving though!
Have you tried adjusting your audio settings? If you go here: support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/accessories/setup-xbox-stereo-headset Scroll down to “Adjusting your audio settings” and select that one. You might need to turn some of the settings up. This should also tell you if the Xbox is seeing the headset.
@@helphq hi! So guess what. I have a silicone cover on my controller. I could connect the adapter and the lights would come on and it felt flush but there was just enough of a gap being caused by the cover that wasn’t allowing the sound to pass through. We are fixed and working now lol, just need to cut a tiny piece off my cover
Hi! Can you use this adapter just as a microphone? (With the chat audio coming from the TV speakers)
I honestly have not tried to do that. Let me test it out and get back to you.
Surprisingly the device works with just the microphone turned on and no headset connected. Similarly to a PS4 or PS5 controller.
@@helphq Nice to know! Thks for your time and the tests!
I buy for Xbox ss on amazon, but the built mic recorded also the noise of your finger on joystick and also your voice..
Am I set wrong?

I wish they offered the ability to use the mic built into the headphones you pair.
@@helphq I switch mic built it off but dosent record my voice
Right, that’s normal. It doesn’t allow external mic use. You can only use the mic built into the dongle.
Hi, can I use just the mic from my headphone instead of the one built in?
Unfortunately you can only use the mic built into the dongle.
I wonder if it would work with the Sony 1000xm5 headphones 🤔 when I try to use them as wired headsets the audio skips and gets pixelated

Am I late to the party or something... I can't find anything anywhere on connecting wireless headsets to the PS5 without some kind of dongle etc
You’re not late. Sony removed the function due to latency issues. You have to use a dongle in order to get Bluetooth to work on the PS5 now unless you use the remote play app.
Does anyone know how to get the build in mic to work?
As long as it’s not muted it should just work
How do you adjust the volume up and down with airpod pro’s
For headphones that do not have a volume potentiometer you need to adjust the volume in the audio mixer within the Xbox sound settings. Easiest way to get to it is through the party chat audio settings.
@@helphq you’re getting a like and subscribe for that one

How’s the sound quality for the mic on the adapter?
Seems fine. No one has said anything about the quality to me. Since it is in the dongle though just be aware the farther away you hold the remote the less loud you will sound to other people. Similarly to putting someone on speaker phone then walking away from the phone a bit while talking.
Can you use the headset mic instead of the onboard one of the adapter?
No unfortunately you can only use the mic built into the dongle.
Does it works with soundbars
I've never tried it but in theory if the sound bar has a Bluetooth feature it should work like a pair of headphones
Can i connect my bluetooth speaker to the skull & co
In theory it should work just like headphones, but I’ve never tried to do that.
As someone who just bought it, works great for both, nintendo being the ONLY ones to support bluetooth like this is nuts lol
@@nouns7504so you have them connected to a wireless speaker. Not headset?

Have tried. I'm curious also
Nice work 💯
Thanks 🙏
Can this work with JBL head sets?
Yep. It should work with any Bluetooth headphones.
Hey when I connect it to my AirPods Pro the only thing I can hear is the mic
Unfortunately there are no settings to play with for the dongle specifically. You will have to adjust all sound settings on your xbox.

how about latency, Is it delays sound?
I don’t have a problem with latency, but I am using Bluetooth 5.0 headphones. If you use an older version of Bluetooth then you might experience some.
Bro I can’t get it to connect to my AirPods Pro 2
Have you gotten them to connect to any other headphones? We need to isolate if it’s the dongle or the headphones.
i just bought these and they have a static noise that follows every sound they're unusable, save your money and buy a cheaper one
I haven’t had any issues with mine. I wonder if they changed them.
@@joshbartonidk man i've tried literally everything and they still have a static noise following the audio :/
I use mine all the time and still no issues at all. Maybe you got a bad one. Can you exchange it?
did you ever find out how to fix it?
The only reason you would get feedback noise is because you are charging your controller while using the adapter
