nah fr listen to him, me and my ex was together for a good amount of time and I knew he was leaving for the military and we had already established the whole I love you and marriage talk before he went in. We even went on a whole weeks vacation the week right before he left and I spent a lot of money for us to enjoy our time together before he left . Everything was good during his bootcamp for the air force and I even flew out to see him graduate from bootcamp then when he first got to tech school everything was still really good, I say about a month and a half after he was in tech school he started to act different and I'm like wtf so to cut it short we broke up because he claimed he couldn't handle a relationship and the military at the same time. Mind you I told him that the military changed you and different. But I was all in because I knew I was able to handle long distance and not talking so much because both of my parents was in the army. He tried to deny he ain't change but then a month later he finally did ament to it so y'all if your mans/girl or you going to the military frfr don't take that shit seriously cause u will be soooo heart broken like me.

So I'll reiterate i do college courses during my time at my command but if your serious about college joining and doing college when you get out your best bet.

This is real!!! The very 1st night at my 1st duty station(MCRD San Diego; I'm a Marine) all the guys on base were excited about going to the San Diego Naval Station E-Club. The reason why is because whenever a ship leaves for deployment the Navy wives come out to play. So sad😕. When I went in for MEPs, there were a lot of lovebirds (young) saying that they are about to get married and mentioning fiancés and everything. I’m like you have a lot of life to live and you’re trying to get married at 18 and 19? ..but I learned that with marriage you get the BENEFITS. then I’m like oh that’s why everyone kinda gets married quick. In the civilian life- most people won’t get married until about 30 years but in the military it seems like it’s 20 and 21 but it’s cons to it.

Was long distance with someone for two years we just broke up recently and I was really worried she wouldnt be able to handle it since im going to the Navy and not seeing her for a year or so while im in training. We had side issues at the same time that were not being fixed between us so we also ended it for that reason. I'm going in and not going to worry about seeing any more girls for the time being.

@@cantthinkofaname7525 it doenst you have to do 2yrs to qualify for T.A and based on rate you can be on sea duty so there goes your chances of doing college on your time if you join it'll be another 3-4yrs before you can do college work. So I'll reiterate i do college courses during my time at my command but if your serious about college joining and doing college when you get out your best bet.

This is real!!! The very 1st night at my 1st duty station(MCRD San Diego; I'm a Marine) all the guys on base were excited about going to the San Diego Naval Station E-Club. The reason why is because whenever a ship leaves for deployment the Navy wives come out to play. So sad😕. Being the new guy I Literally Had to sleep through my roommate smashing a navy wife in our barracksroom. SMH, military life was crazy.

I’m fucking dead!!! I met my love here in San Diego, it’s been a year now. Dude’s going on deployment next year in August. He’s 31 and I’m 24. Honesty at this point we are just having fun with each other. It’s a serious enough relationship where we know we are in a relationship together, but we also know that if it gets to be too hard to be together because military relationships are hard we’d be cool breaking up and just being friends...well that’s what I think. Dude’s already talking about marriage! Lol not sure how to feel about that

When I went in for MEPs, there were a lot of lovebirds (young) saying that they are about to get married and mentioning fiancés and everything. I’m like you have a lot of life to live and you’re trying to get married at 18 and 19? ..but I learned that with marriage you get the BENEFITS. then I’m like oh that’s why everyone kinda gets married quick. In the civilian life- most people won’t get married until about 30 years but in the military it seems like it’s 20 and 21 but it’s cons to it.
