I loved ur article about singleness. Women are judged for succeeding and being successful especially if ur single and childless. We get labeled as masculine. We get told we will die alone. I'm 43 and have never been married. I cried almost everyday months before I turned 40 realizing I'm now on the path of 50 and still single. Back in high school, I knew I wanted no kids, but God blessed me with my son in college. He's 21 now and is my life. I realized soon after I turned 40 that I'm actually living my best life and I always get mistaken for my son's sister. Single keeps you youthful 😂❤

I thought about whether I should or had any right to comment on this vlog as I have kids, got married, and did the things, the way that society expected me to. At the end of the day, we should just give each other space and grace to live the life that we choose, without judgment. I've seen so many videos of women having to defend themselves or explaining why they are unmarried or don't have children. Women have fought for the right to choose their own paths, and it's often other women who are the most judgemental! People live full lives without partners without kids and often have experiences they never dreamed of. Let's start normalizing living our best lives without judgment. Love you, Monroe, for being vulnerable with us and just being who you are 🤗😀.
I've been single longer than I've been married. I was married young.....had children young.....now a young grandmother at 51. I wouldn't trade my ups and downs for anything. But you live YOUR life. Tired of people saying that women need to be married. Marriage is not for everyone....hence some of the numerous divorces and custody issues. We enjoy seeing you. Hey Queen , I am 67 with 2 grown adult children and 7 grandchildren , and 2 great grandchildren. Was engaged, but never been a bride. To tell you the truth I have a awesome life. I always wanted 2 kids never thought I would have so many grandkids and to be a great grandma, makes my life meaningful. Kids are not for everyone your life is what you make it out to be. Some would say no kids, no man it works for some people but deep down you got the best life ever. Don’t be so hard on yourself. Your career is skyrocketing to success the way you planned it out . I am now 60, never married and no children.
Marriage and children can be great but also being single and childless.
Living life on your own without constant consideration of a partner and children can give you a freedom no one can imagine. It is not being selfish. Yes, it can be hard doing it all by yourself but who else is worth all of you but you.
Live life and even if you make a bad choice in any one aspect, learn and move on, as no one has a looking glass into the future. Live life with no regrets of the past. Enjoy the joys of the present and pray for guidance so you look to the future with hope and dreams.

But at 57 im loving life. You have helped me develop my fashion style. I have 6 kids all successful and happy. As a matter of fact my baby boy is NYU alumni and at Michigan University for law school. Girl if i was not trying to please my parents i would have nevered married or had children. I dont encourage my daughters to do it. I am a college graduate work in health science and research. I'm single and childless. I didn't picture my life this way. However I'm not bothered by it. Although sometimes I come across people that want to tell me oh you can still have children. Someone actually apologized to me. It made me feel like why are you apologizing for my life. I usually don't like to bring up the subject because the way some people react. You should really blend them in here and there sometimes. Some of us miss you shopping in places that we can afford. And also let me speak for my self when I say this, I really liked when you use to put together some fabulous outfits that you thrift from different places showing people that they can be fabulous on a budget. Don't get me wrong! Every now and then I will do consignment shopping online like ThredUp or maybe an antique show here and there but there will not be new thrifting content and there hasn’t been for about 5 years now. I love my children but l always felt like l was restricted to do what l want because l had to re-arrange everything for them. Hi beautiful!! I was married and divorced since 1995. I have three grown children. I have not been in a relationship in five years! As I age I have become more selective when dating, especially having girls!! It is nothing wrong with not been easily captivated by a happy meal or a compliment. Some women feel their life is not complete without a man. A man does not complete a lady, but should compliment. You are a lady of standards and integrity and do not fall for everything in pants!! If a man does not add to ones life and you have a man or dating seriously, and are still paying your own bills and footing most things, what is the point!! Any one can have a lay, but if it that is all they have to offer, they can keep it moving!! When it is your time it will happen. Children arent for everyone, relationships that have substance are not built over night. I didn't get married until I was 47 and honestly I can say it happened at the right time for me. And as far as children, my brothers have enough for me to love like they're mine but send them back to them because they're not mine.😂
Love found me when I least expected it and wasn't worried about it. I was looking for my next business opportunity, job etc. quite frankly.😂

I was so touched seeing that I am not alone in my journey so thank you for that. Plus I’m with you 1000%, if I meet a man and it’s right and we want to have kids then great but, in any other circumstance, it’s a no for me cuh & I stand on that!! I enjoy being able to move in my own time and spend all my hard earned money on me and when i choose to, I bless others. Hi Monroe to clarify my last comment, I certainly am not referring to you!! You are definitely genuine and sincere. I am referring to those who will fabricate situations or make something more than what it is. This is usually done for outside validation. If you watch others content, it does not take long to know who is genuine or not!!! You are a rare breed!!!!
So very proud of all your accomplishments. We have been taught in order to be a "whole woman" or validated as a women we must be married and have children. It is nice to be married and to have a great husband; however, there are so many more women who are now entrepreneurs and leaders that its hard to find a man who is secure in themselves to want to share our knowledge and love without having to choose. Do all the things you are meant to do and let God continue to work on you and continue to walk by faith and not by sight. There are still great men out there... you never know when , where, nor the time Love will show itself.

Monroe, to each his own. There are many things in life that are overrated, especially marriage. I am married and have a very wonderful husband... the 2nd time around, lol! We both took a dating break before meeting each other and my life has been wonderful from the day we met. He's out there, don't look for him, you will find each other. Love and blessing to you!!!

I’m 47 and I always wanted to be married with kids, but neither ever happened and I struggled with such for YEARS-I still struggle with not being a mother (it was easier for me to let go of not being married). I tried various methods and roads to motherhood, but it just was not in the cards and I hate that for me. I love that you and other women who never had the desire (or cared) about being a wife or mother avoid all the feelings/emotions that come with desiring such and it not happening. I have nieces and nephews, but I will always regret not being a mother, but such is life-we all have our own cross to bear. To my ladies in your 30s/early 40s who know you want to be a mom, please FREEZE your eggs or start IVF/IUI as a single mom by choice in your early 40s if possible!!
Was adoption not an option? I always figured if later in life I wanted kids I’d just adopt them. There’s so many children waiting for an amazing loving home.
@@FashionSteeleNYC Yes, and it never worked out and I’m still paying on the loan I took out for the process-adoption (private) is expensive and an emotional rollercoaster…I was ONE week away from adopting THREE different times and the birth mothers either decided to parent or went with another family. Trying to adopt as a single person is HARD and I was mentally exhausted, plus I’m 47 and not a spring chicken-I started the process at 43.

Another amazing video 💛 I myself am 34 this year and I thought I’d be married by now, but I don’t want to settle for mess and get married just to say “I’m married.” I’m beginning to be at peace with the notion that I may never get married; it may not be in God’s plan for me, and that’s ok. I have a wonderful life and am learning that being alone romantically doesn’t mean that I’m lonely. My life is full in so many ways 💛

I had a health scare to last year that a lot of people didn't know about. and I am still going through it. I am divorce and people are always asking me when are you going to get married again. I really have no desire to get married right now I am just enjoying life and traveling and enjoying my grandkids. You can have a fulfilled life without being married. I just love everything about you. Your style your personality is everything! And it also helps that I am a Taurus too. And we do have some things in common. 53 and childless here. I actually made the decision not to have kids WHILE I was married lol. I decided he wouldn’t be the type of father I’d want to raise kids with after all and honestly I didn’t feel the need. I watched my sister with three GOOD kids and was like, nah. Every time I hear a child screaming in the grocery store I’m like “whew”! 😂 Ironically I just babysat my nephew’s daughters this weekend for a few hours and ITS A LOT. I was like, there’s no way I would want this life every day. I am so happy with my decision. I think we feel pressure to have kids because society makes us believe that’s our purpose. And then a lot of women end up feeling overwhelmed and unhappy. But your life is yours. You do you. And I have that TJ’s chili lime seasoning, try it on corn on the cob. Yum!
