- Almost a year ago, the first of six A380 for Malaysia Airlines arrived to great fanfare. Today, the sixth received a warm welcome as well to mark the completion of our flagship fleet & to celebrate its status as the 100th A380 delivered by Airbus.
Soon it will take to the skies, carrying passengers from Kuala Lumpur to London & Paris.
Although already 8 years ago,I still want to say welcome to Malaysia Airbus A380.You are my most beloved aircraft.
My most favourite aircraft.

So glad that I finally found her arriving home video. So this was how she was welcomed. At that particular moment we were doing our last minute packing for our Europe tour via LHR. Little did we know we'll be on her inaugural flight that evening which was to LHR. It was a full flight. The crew were high-spirited. And 6 years later it was her that flew us to Jeddah. Sadly that was to be our last flight with her. All MH's A380 will be resting at their birth place in Tabers LDE, France. Thank you, dear dugongs! You'll be missed! ;(

MAS need to buy more a380s! The future a380s can be used for tokyo and the East Asian market. Also for the Australian market. I want MAS to start back its Cape Town / Johannesburg - Buenos Aires service with these. Good Luck MAS for the future!
Agree! I once lived in Buenos Aires and the Kuala Lumpur - Joburg - Cape - Buenos Aires was always fully booked and fully boarded.

MAS cannpt compete with Emirates at all! No way man! Emirates has the oil wealth and good management team to run the airlines. Malaysia is not doing well and the PM's financial scandal has driven away foreign investors! Also MAS was running a loss under the former CEO, really hopeless! Now they need a foreign CEO to get it back up again. Otherwise it'll be a disaster!

Muhammad Shafi Ilham Yes, nothing is impossible but Malaysia has to get rid of corruptions in all levels of government The PM need to go on TV live and tell the Malaysian people how he gotten $400 million in his bank acct! The clean up has to start from the top all the way to bottom level of govern. And MAS has to get rid of those deadwood in the management team, sack those inefficient managers and workers if MAS want o get back into profit again! It;ll be long long process man! By the time you are old man, the problems of corruption, nepotism ,inefficience, favoritism, etc,etc still there. Pray to God!

I prefer Lockheed L-1011 TriStar, sadly they will no longer join the commercial airlines. Bad thing also is the LOST of all Delta Airlines, Eastern Airlines and their fleet of L-1011. That means no more problems for the competitors in terms of Aviation industry and no more L-1011 will be able to produce by the Lockheed. Only the L-1011 has a highly advance autopilot that could be able to land even if there is a zero-visibility (blind) ground.
