I'm again reminded that the worst part of growing up in the 70's & 80's is seeing all of your favorite stars slowly fade away. I really love TV.
The 70s is the golden age of television.
I bet you don't love it any longer. All that's on now is perversion and trash. Thank you to the leftists in Hollywood and of course the new democrat party that supports them
I feel the same way.
Agreed I believe we grew up in the best days of TV. And that goes for music also
same here. I was born in '72, but watch a lot of Tv. Three's Co. etc. I couldn't believe it when John R. passed. 20yrs ago this year. wow. 😥
Cindy Williams will forever be our “Shirley”. I’m very sad to hear of her passing. 😰
She was a terrific talent!😀❤Thanks for the memories!
She was young
Oh man I didn’t know that

True. Only Michael McKean is left from the Laverne and Shirley cast.
I grew up watching them too 😢 my youth favorite celebrities leaving us she was one of the best
Ron Howard and Cindy Williams were beloved members of every household in America back in the day. Never to be forgotten. ❤️
The world could use a few billion people as kind as Cindy Williams. It hurt my heart to hear of her passing.
A lot of celebrities that we grew up with are dropping like flies. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Took my Mom to meet Cindy Williams and attended her show Me. Myself & Shirley last April 2022 in Newton, NC. She was incredibly gracious and kind. Thank you Cindy for your art , lots of laughs and for making the world a brighter place. ❤
Amen.
I hate I missed that! I live in Hickory NC!❤

Penny and Cindy's physical comedy was hilarious . 😂😂😂👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I hope they keep it down up there. Lol
They were the best. 🤗
No! They should give the angels a run for their halos❤
One of the best physical comedy teams of all time in my opinion.
CINDY WILLIAMS WAS SO DARN CUTE ,CINDY AND LAVERNE WERE HILARIOUS 😂 GOD BLESS YOU CINDY AND LAVERNE 🙏🙏🙌🫶
Took the words right out of my fingers. I can’t get over how cute and young she always looks. And seemed so naturally funny.
She was always beautiful
Totally agreed.
Rest in Peace, Cindy! Always be loved and missed! Thank you, for the laughs! ❤
How great to have been a part of movie history.
May she rest forever in Peace. Thank you for the laughs mama.
RIP, Cindy Williams. Thanks, Ron Howard, for a great tribute!
I didn’t know she passed away.
My condolences to her family may she Rest In Peace.
I teared up hearing of her passing. She will be missed 😢
Cindy Williams was fantastic in Laverne & Shirley, Happy Days, and the iconic American Graffiti. Released in 1973, it portrayed California teenage life at the cusp of social change in 1962. Not that many years prior, but worlds apart. Time in a bottle. The soundtrack is fabulous too.
Hollywood Knight's was much better. Check it out
@@anthonyangeli256 Hollywood Knights was funnier. But a better movie? American Grafitti had humor but it was not a comedy; it was in several ways a very noteworthy bit of film making. Hollywood Knights was a comedy. And a great one. He caught it mit his deeek!
Anthony Angeli...who cares . This is about Cindy Williams .
@@lar7905 yes. You're right. She was very cute in the movie!
@@anthonyangeli256 uh huh
While working at Western Costume in Hollywood in 1976 (Industry types of that era know of Western Costume) I had the fortune of giving both Cindy and Penny Marshall a tour of our Props Dept to help them find something. I dont remember what specifically they were looking to find but I do remember that both of them were a pure delight to be around. One of my fondest memories of that era of my brief career in the Wardrobe field of movies/television. R.IP. Cindy. I've cherished meeting you for 47 years now.
that's wonderful 🥲
How cool!
Only if she was saved. God is very clear who goes to heaven and who goes to Hell.

A big thank you to Ron for sharing some great memories! AMERICAN GRAFITI is one of the best movies ever made! Rest in peace Cindy!

TWO LANE BLACKTOP
I didn't know that Cindy has passed. She was a wonderful actress. RIP Cindy.
I remember seeing Cindy Williams in "American Graffiti." In London UK in January of 1973 in Piccadilly Circus when I was a teenager. Today it's one of my favorite movies. I sometimes watch it on a Friday or Saturday night while munching on " Cracker Jacks." RIP Cindy Williams we'll miss you ❤️
She was a Cadbury Creme Egg come to life - Sweet and Special! Will be missed.
Funny and talented lady. RIP Cindy.🙏
Sorry to hear about this. She was a part of my youth as her show was verbally important to all who watched it. she and her cast mate Penny Marshall are in heaven together and they are missed by all of us. Rip Cindy Williams. I send condolences to her family and friends and to the world for her loss.
A few years ago I was looking for a couple of associates who were missing from our large office for a meeting. I peeked into the office of a Department Director and asked "Have you seen Lenny and Squiggy?" She smiled, got up from her desk, grabbed my arm and started the chant as we went into the corridor - "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Schlemiel! Schlimazel! Hasenpfeffer Incorporated. We're gonna do it!" The very young people around us were confused. We were not. "Lenny and Squiggy" showed up a few minutes later never the wiser. I adored Cindy!!
Time sure goes by faster than any of us would like ..so many losses recently . Cindy was and iconic person and by all accounts a wonderful person ..Goodnight Cindy and Shirly
Quite the talent and a real beauty as well. She broke your heart in American Graffiti. She'll be missed.
She was such a great character actor from the days of TV programming when what you watched was real entertainment. Thank you, Cindy for all the smiles you brought to us 😊.
Look up the film "UFOria" from 1985. Cindy Williams, Fred Ward, Harry Dean Stanton - A classic gem of a film that hardly anybody knows about. It's on RUclips. Well worth watching.
@@robertstephens156…Thanks, I’ll check it out in time. 👍
The best actors ever, thank you Cindy, penny and Ron Howard. You don't have this kind of actors anymore. Rest in peace penny and cindy.

Damn. Time just Rockets by.
Very, very saddened by Cindy's death. Had a big crush on her when she was on Laverne & Shirley. She was so adorable in many ways. Recently, I had been watching episodes from the first five seasons online. Ironic, isn't it?
Those were the Good Ole Day’s
The two were bigger than life for a lot of people. beyond phenomenal! Both were Class on a higher level.

Yup...u chose the correct term. Too many flaky folks nowadays...
Cindy Williams will forever be in our hearts.😢
What a lady, she will be missed.
Was on my honeymoon in August '92 in Cannon Beach, Oregon. Went to a restaurant for breakfast and guess who walked right in... Cindy. Got to meet her and asked for an autograph. Got one on the restaurant's napkin. A touching moment for me that I have cherished all these years. A very sweet and kind lady.
Life is short. Enjoy the ride.
The world was a better place back then.
Thanks Ron. Such a beautiful tribute to a wonderful person.
So sad when I heard the news of her death but so thankful that I got to see her and Penny Marshall together in Laverne & Shirley they made my me laugh and even cry . Their both gone but will never be forgotten. My condolences to her family and prayers .🙏🏻

So very sad to hear of her passing!! We used to watch Lavern and Shirley every week! she was so funny and carefree! RIP Cindy Williams! :(
I remember Cindy as Tooley in Travels With My Aunt, with Maggie Smith and Alec McCowan. It was a wonderful, quirky role.
RIP Ms Williams.
I love both of them.❤️❤️🥲
had she not played Shirley ,Cindy would have liked had an amazing film career for which she'd be remembered very differently. It's interesting how this stuff pans out. she was wildly talented.
I agree - she was a talent!
Ron Howard is the most humble person in Hollywood!! Speaks good about everyone!! Rest Easy Ms. Williams

Growing up in the 70's and 80's ... Oh the memories and reruns ... Andy Griffith show watching with my dad. Week day evenings Happy Days, L&S ... I had a Happy Days metal lunch box as a child. Great family TV.

Wow sad she is gone , but my beloved actors are older than me, and I’m 60 . God Bless you All
She was Americas sweetheart. RIP Cindy.
All great artists in their own right.
Ron is so lucky to have been part of TV and film history. Cindy passed so well for being a 17-18 year old in American Graffitti even though she was 24.
R.I.P. Cindy …. Love you Ron your really an incredible person and I’m a huge fan of all your work !!!!😊
So sad we lost her . She will always be our Shirley
R.I.P. Cindy Williams. Remembering you in 'Laverne and Shirley.'
We all loved you.❤️🙏😇You all are wonderful 🥰 So sorry to the whole family.Ron you still remember your movies.❤️
I"m at the age where the people I watched on tv and movies, or listened to on the radio are passing away. This world is yours, next generation. Take better care of it than we did, and I hope you get entertainers that bring you the same joy these people brought me.
She had the best smile in Hollywood / nothing fake about it
I first saw her in "American Graffiti" and thought she personified the pretty, sweet girl of that era. I could see how any high school boy would want to date her. We all must leave this earth at some point. May she rest in piece.
Only if she was saved. God is very clear who goes to heaven and who goes to Hell.
@@markjordan1765 Cindy was a devout Catholic who was deeply religious and spiritual. She is in heaven.

Aw Ron, that was sweet! Schlemiel ! Schlemazel ! Hasenpfeffer incorporated! - I used to sing that with my co-worker in the warehouse during the pandemic just to lighten the mood when we were under the gun during lockdown! Strange how time flies!
She was just incredible.
nice interview - i had forgotten that punch - so perfect!!!
best role, the conversation. the ending will blow you away.
The passage of time has been made a little sadder once again. 🥺You were always adorable, my birthday sister.💗
I was waiting to hear what he had to say about her. That was absolutely real and sincere.
One of my favorite movies of all time
A mutual friend introduced me to Cindy more than 30 years ago. I had been to her house in Malibu for several parties and she was always so sweet and fun. I recall at one party I had noticed a beautiful pen-and-ink drawing on her wall. The signature on it was Picasso. It was titled "The Bullfight" and it was nothing more than several curve lines. Cindy came up to me and I said, "I don't like Picasso but this is beautiful." She said, "I don't like him either" and she told me about when she got it on trip to Spain. Another time I got into a conversation with her at a mutual friends house by saying, "We can't go on meeting like this. People will get suspicious." She began with, "I know we have to keep it quiet." She was always fun to talk with. The world is a less fun place without her. RIP Cindy.
Such a class act that Ron Howard.
They were great together in American Graffiti.
You know if she had not gotten that part she would have got the part of Princess Leia in Star Wars
Loved Cindy she will be missed. God bless you Cindy. Ron Howard is a really cool dude 👍❤️😊🙏✌️😎
