Yea I agree where did he get this information? Winkler has constantly said he owes his training to be able to play a character like the Fonz because the character was so different than he was. It's not hard to get the facts straight.
I was close enough to hear and see Donny Most and Anson Williams when they visited Richmond Virginia during some planned excursion of visiting several cities while touring the east coast Ron Howard was in the group but he was not with Donny Most and Anson Williams when they were invited to play a softball game at the diamond. I actually am glad that I didn't meet either one of them because they cursed worst than soldiers and was actually repulsed to be around and I didn't even want to meet either of them after that and I just left and I have little to no use and absolutely no respect for being around such that think and act in public as they both acted that day.
I don't think I heard that you gave any mention to where happy Days first started out. Happy days was a spin off from a short segment on Love American Style.
I'm not sure why this writer and other writers like to portray Ron Howard as disliking this co-star or another. I think various articles have claimed that he didn't like Don Knotts, Andy Griffith, or Henry Winkler - none appear credible. But hey, you got me to click through!
Ron Howard has admitted that he didn't like being overshadowed by the Fonzie character since it was supposed to be 'his' show but he didn't have any animosity towards Winkler. They've worked together many times over the years and Henry is godfather to one of Ron Howard's children.

In my opinion, Ron Howard was at best an average actor. In fact, I believe that if it hadn't been for Henry Winkler (The Fonz) becoming a more regular cast member, the show would have faded more quickly.

One cast member that I feel a connection to (not in a romantic or stalker way, but family) is Anson Williams. I found out several years ago that we share a birthday.
