perfect pitch is birth right cant be trained. but its just a tool to identify the key. you can do the same with trained relative pitch very well.
yes its just music theory and practice. plus this is only possible in simple structures titles which are most popsongs.
you need to know almost every popsong is based on the very same 4 chords. lol no joke.
just different rythm and key. so that leaves only so many things to play. the rest he improvises based on music theory to stay in harmony.

I don't know if either have perfect pitch. I have relative pitch and a music theory education, so I can learn most stuff in less than 30 seconds. But they might actually actually have perfect pitch, which you're born with.

I think alot of people have perfect pitch they just don't know how to play any instruments or not good at it, i mean if i hear a song once i can whistle the exact same song just not all of it. Idk juat my opinion.
You are born with perfect pitch, but people can have basically almost perfect pitch with relative pitch which is taught and years of studying music theory
