    Thank , u for explaining so well..how do I n make this dress with cotton? I mess up copying from my own shirts never wide enough... Any suggestions will help .Thank you

    • @sayanalimana697
      @sayanalimana697 8 лет назад

      It is suitable only knitted elastic fabric, so take only cotton jersey for this dress.
      If you take the non-elastic material to do the darts of the dress and do not gain stretches like jersey

    Love the dress that you're wearing. I saw a black one just like it a the store about a year ago and I wanted to buy it but it was too big. Although I alter a grand majority of my clothes, that one would've been too much work... However I would love to learn how to make it, do you have a tutorial for it? Thanks for the helpful tips in this tutorial, looking forward to browsing through your other ones.

    Question, could you but this in half and make a two piece out of it? And instead of using the same fabric for sleeves can I use black lace fabric of black stockings.

      madeline true I am so sorry for the delay but RUclips marked your comment as spam for some reason and would not post it.... But in the future, the only option I would suggest is to go to a local fabric store to touch and feel the lace. Do not EVER buy lace online without truly understanding the textiles of the fabric. In order to first understand the textiles, you must go to the stores to touch and feel the lace and read the specifications of the fabric you like. Then take that information as shop for fabric online. Hope this helps. BTW here is a store I purchased lace from and it was good but it may not be exactly what you are looking for. But check it out. www.spandexhouse.com/products.php?navId=44&navName=Lace

    You have the QuikFix machine? I was going to buy it! I saw that one online and it looks identical to the Michley Lil Sew machine! I saw user comments online that the needle was always getting bent since it moves too far down. I also read comments from users about the bobbin having problems and not moving. Have you found those problems with the QuickFix, or are those user errors?

    @leeazh Smiles For some reason RUclips is not allowing me to reply to your comment. My Reply: (Yes I have that machine and I refuse to recommend it to any beginner. This machine is only for advanced users who are familiar with tips and tricks on how to make the machine sew correctly when it is does not act right. This machine does everything wrong you heard about. It jams, the bobbin gets stuck, and I also notice the tensions can get really tight and snap the thread. I took a lot of time to figure out a way to make this machine work for me. If I did not love sewing outside, I would have thrown this machine away years ago. Do not buy it.)
