If you ever find yourself doing this type of symmetrical body panelling, after you make one side of the body fit perfect, match the shape of the cardboard template to that of the finished panel and use thay to check the other side and check for any inconsistency before you cut the metal panel sheets. It doesnt take longer than a few minutes and might save you having to buy a new sheet in the future
Hindsight is always 20/20. I learned a lesson for all of us it seems. I could just edit out all the hangups I have like the other guys do, but we have to learn from our mistakes just as much as our achievements. Thanks for tuning in 👍
@@KJRaycing yeah people get so hung up on a weld not looking good by if you look close it’s easy to tell if it’s penetrated enough or not that’s why i said some of your welds may not “look” that good but they definitely will hold

I am a “highly adequate welder”, which means they are strong enough but not the prettiest. I can accept that as a garage builder. 🖖.

I did not take offense. I use a 110 welder because the tube is less than 1/8th”. Someday I’ll get a 220 and make those welds a lot prettier 🦾

Numer or model of the tyres?
Front are 23x8 and rear are 23x10.5. 12” spun aluminum wheels. They are 6 ply Carlisle turf tires.
