Very nice rifle, I have one of those. The FR-8 was a transition weapon between the K98 Mauser and the CETME rifle that replaced it. And the CETME design was copied and modified slightly for the infamous HK G3/HK91 rifles, also the HK93 and even the MP5.
You know your Milsurp's well.. love this lil rifle.. large ring Mauser in a very common cal. don't have to always reload a crazy cal. like usual.. Be Well and Keep America Great 👍.

Hey Rick hope all's well with you and your family.... This one is a good shooter even with Tulammo in .308 excellent bore and the sights are dead on.. My hand loads with 168 grain b.t.'s group great 👍.. The action is very nice also just being a little carbine and full power loads this one kicks.. Length of pull is short too.. Even have the bayo for it.. This is a keeper for sure.... And with Milsurp's ya know getting the right food these days isn't easy.. be well and Keep America Great 👍.
Thank You Rick.... Needed a spotting scope to even see the paper target 🎯.. Front sight covered the black square ⬛ at 200yds. I really had to do my part with such a small lil rifle usually with old Milsurp's longer sight picture.. This one is a keeper cause plenty of .308 n 7.62 nato for like .75 cents a round.. Which these days isn't too bad.... Still ammo, primers or even projectiles are much more money than the Trump years.... Have a good weekend and be well....

Hey Mindy it's a 70 year old rifle that shoots full power .308 loads and it's a very small so yeah kicks like a mule.... be well.
