Man I love how this song is half step down for this, and it's just wonderous, all up in a different key and it is just so much more mellow for this venue. It's wonderful!
This is the best version of the song, reminds me of when I was a student, having nothing, just an old guitar, dreaming of what's up ahead. And come on guys, the dude talking in the beginning is awesome! Gotta love that guy 😀
Coheed and Cambria are characters in a Comic book (which has the same name as the album) that Claudio writes, all of their songs narrate a part in this story.
In every video I've seen of this show, Travis does not look happy lol. Then again, with dude's like the cameraman, I wouldn't be too ecstatic either. =P
I think it's part of the art of playing live. There's a special feeling of hearing a song live and being phrased differently than it is on the record. Could just be me, though.
@WilhelmRyan815 Actually the story is based off his life and his parents. Coheed is his dad and Cam is his mother. It was a story/ concept album b4 it was a comic. His love for si-fi and comic inspired him to move forward with the story him music told and it evolved into what it is today.
I just created an account so that I could comment on this haha. I enjoy Claudio Sanchez and his singing abilities. And for the person asking if their performing in a comic store, why does it matter? The albums are based on a story written as a graphic novel(a comic book). A story I have yet to read, but a story never the less.
duuude. i love coheed&cambria. they were kickass at the show i went to. this is my fav vid. i must say their guitar solos can be easy. not claudios but travis's. but niice vid!!
this is cool! what i find the most hilarious about 'hopkins' comments is the fact that he clearly had interest enough to search for this video in order to moan about it haha.
"with some training." That was a pretty decent hammer, even if you can play. To people who can't play it probably be unbelievable. It does take practice mister rock god.
Anyone know of a mp3 rip of this acoustic version? Especially where Claudio does that ridiculous shredding after the first couple verses. I'd love to have it.
Well, he got his punishment. Which, even though he was not technically armed, I was surprised it was just a year in house arrest. I am happy to hear that though. I hope he keeps giving us all some fantastic music
actually what i was saying is that there is no way that someone who named their son after claudio/someone they have an obsession with, could come anywhere close to calling someone else creepy.
haha thats great, I would love to see it if you ever chop it up. This was definetly an awesome night one of the best performances i've seen. Did you go to the worcester show in November?
Wow lmao Travis is so serious all of the time like he doesn't even smile when claudio's hat fell off and everybody went nuts, meanwhile claudio started to die lmao :P
@Syaoran69 you can apply the same logic to yourself. i personally found it funny. you dont need to be so damn serious, it was clearly a laid back show, i think its fair that someone in the audience had a little fun.
Claudio is just as or not better than eddie Van Halen on guitar i know its not a contest music is music but when i hear Claudio play guitar i feel something more something more organic with love and feeling when eddie plays its more like ok once agian here we go agian even with new songs thank you coheed and cambria for giving me hope
@fasterthansound101 You do realize that the whole story of Coheed and Cambria is based off of comic books/graphic novels written by Claudio, right? Only suiting they would play at a comic book store, tbh. Claudio is always attending Comic-Cons and whatnot, signing autographs.
Hey were you the one who asked Claudio if he wanted the napkin? If so then I was the one standing behind in line for 4 hours. I was wearing the Rage Against the Machine shirt and you took pictures of my dragonfly tattoo and the ten speed lyrics on my wrists. Great video by the way, and if you're who I think you are please post the rest if you have it. thanks
The guy yelling "it's coming off, his hats coming off" 🤣
Man I love how this song is half step down for this, and it's just wonderous, all up in a different key and it is just so much more mellow for this venue. It's wonderful!
0:51 if you wanna skip past the guy in the audience.
This is the best version of the song, reminds me of when I was a student, having nothing, just an old guitar, dreaming of what's up ahead.
And come on guys, the dude talking in the beginning is awesome! Gotta love that guy 😀
Wow....poor Claudio. He's such a trooper for putting up with these crazy fan boys.
Still here 15 years later
I love how Claudio interacts with his fans even if it is just from a distance.
"HE IS PERSPIRING."
Thank you so much for your insight.
A Coheed and Cambria's MTV Unplugged would be the best.
Mic Todd just casually jamming the fuck out on the bass over there. Epicness.
I know what he did... it was shitty. Doesn't change the fact he was an epic bassist. Get over it.
Coheed and Cambria are characters in a Comic book (which has the same name as the album) that Claudio writes, all of their songs narrate a part in this story.
Ok, now I won't be satisfied until there is a Coheed & Cambria acoustic album. Every song.

Thanks, I'll look that up. Come to think of it, I did see Mic do that screaming bit on Three Evils.
I love the "I could outsweat you anyday sir" line. XD
God damnit mic! Why'd you have to leave us?
this is cool! what i find the most hilarious about 'hopkins' comments is the fact that he clearly had interest enough to search for this video in order to moan about it haha.
No hat can contain Claudio's epic hair.
amazing simply amazing thank you and congratulations on a great upload derpdude

The 3:28 mark is priceless.. The look from the friend with the guy in the background singing with his eyes closed. Bawhahahaaaa
It's called a scallor. when you hammer on an pull off notes in a scale in an ascending or descending fashion. check the tap for the exact notes.
hahaha love them! the dude talking cracks me up..
Damn i still can't believe this video is 14 years old.
Can anyone explain why there are 3 mics on stage, but only Claudio ever sings? Like, in any song I've ever seen?
this is such a good song.. ive been trying to figure out who sang this for a while.. finally i know who! lolz
Obsessed
There's always that one annoying guy who think he knows the band
"with some training." That was a pretty decent hammer, even if you can play. To people who can't play it probably be unbelievable. It does take practice mister rock god.

I'd love to have it.
his cap came off at the perfect moment
Well, he got his punishment. Which, even though he was not technically armed, I was surprised it was just a year in house arrest. I am happy to hear that though. I hope he keeps giving us all some fantastic music
its insanely ridiculous and on an acoustic
whoever posted this video is my hero based on quality alone. Anyone know how to play that riff from the intro?
"oh unbelievable" at 1:08 makes me laugh everytime. listen for it
the beggining is mad funny lol
actually what i was saying is that there is no way that someone who named their son after claudio/someone they have an obsession with, could come anywhere close to calling someone else creepy.
I've been playing for 9 years and could probably do that and I would've said the same. It sounds killer with the song.
haha thats great, I would love to see it if you ever chop it up.
This was definetly an awesome night one of the best performances i've seen.
Did you go to the worcester show in November?
lmfao the first 1:07 of the films is absolutely amazing.
That guy talking to Claudio is funny as fuck
Wow lmao Travis is so serious all of the time like he doesn't even smile when claudio's hat fell off and everybody went nuts, meanwhile claudio started to die lmao :P
i fuckin love this band
Check out In Keeping Secrets from the Neverender tour....they do the backup there.
@Syaoran69 you can apply the same logic to yourself. i personally found it funny. you dont need to be so damn serious, it was clearly a laid back show, i think its fair that someone in the audience had a little fun.
fucking tears!

@fasterthansound101

Yeah. I'm glad he's not stuck in prison or anything. He's a great bass player. Is he still making music with someone?
I would like to see - you should post.
The fucking hat comes off in the most epic part of the song,ha!
Mic Todd FTW
Agreed...Mic Todd yo.
fucking amazing =0
Anyone else notice Mic Todd playing "Another one bites the dust" in the beginning?
Time at 3:40, That kid shouting... "His hat! His hate is coming off!!!"
its a taylor of some sort, i dont know what model, but all taylors have a beautiful sound
Hey were you the one who asked Claudio if he wanted the napkin? If so then I was the one standing behind in line for 4 hours. I was wearing the Rage Against the Machine shirt and you took pictures of my dragonfly tattoo and the ten speed lyrics on my wrists.
