I knew they were local accents lol. Had to have a look in the description, I'm from Peterborough, I used to do security at the racecourse on racedays many moons ago
That was a long one !!! Really enjoyed it 👍 30 singles for six quid 👍👍👍 I would've picked up that Lulu album. When I got my first record player for Christmas in 1968, I'm a Tiger was one of the records that came with it. Cheers mate.
It wasn't a bad old haul was it 👍👍👍 I couldn't honestly say for sure what my very first record player was nor the very first record I played on it 🤔🤔🤔 That's a good question for the livestream panel 👍👍👍
Hi Nick. That looks like you on the cover of that Fistful of Dollars LP! Great to see you on your adventures, what a shame you left all those David Essex records behind. My problem with Lulu is that she supported Thatcher in the '87 election or whenever it was. My dad always used to call her 'that Thatcherite turd Lulu'.
I'd of thought she would be pro Scotland SNP ??? My Jackie once told me that a cousin of a friends mum, once punched Lulu in the face,up in Glasgow many years ago,for stealing her boyfriend !!! I'm not mad on her music,I just like the odd tune so that album and the odd 7" single will do me fine. David Essex.....he was one for the ladies back in the day, again the odd 7" single will do me fine. I often think should I buy these cheap LPs if they're in good condition and offer them out as VCLT 🤔🤔🤔
Nice car boot footage there Nick, opening time seems more sensible, I think I would have also gone for the Ike n Tina. I also got that Free style council, they did a few of those. I think I've also got two of the Human leagues Being boiled. I am minded to wear kneepads on a permanent basis!!
The Ike & Tina plays really good....a fantastic upgrade 👍👍👍 As much as I like car boots, there comes a time though when my knees and back are absolutely bloody killing me and I have to give up. My only worry is I might be missing something really good !!!
Thank you for taking us along. It felt like we were there with you. That Ike and Tina Turner lp looks fab. I have that Fistful of Dollars lp. It's great. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly film soundtrack is quite rare to find these days. Love that funked up Batman tune! Great thinking Batman!!! Amazing you found all those 45s for only 20p each! What a blast from the past to see The House Martins, Men Without Hats, Yazoo's Situation and those Haircut 100 records. My heart skipped a beat when you showed the freebie Style Council and Jesus and the Mary Chain 45. What a great video....always keeping it real with a no-nonsense approach with your vinyl videos. Respect.
Always a pleasure to have you stop by 👍👍👍 If Huntingdon is on tomorrow,I might chance my arm ??? Trouble is,all the rain we've had has made a lot of the ground really sodden so it may be cancelled??? I'm quite lucky really because I have a good amount of second hand dealers with shops and booths etc... with an hour of me etc... so I might visit one of those instead 🤔🤔🤔
I can't believe you didnt pick up any Nana Mouskouri, Hammond Hits, Top Of The Pops, Dick Emery sings, Harry Secombe, or Sacha Distel. Our car boots round here have nothing but those legends.
WOW, you have done really well there Nick, very nice finds and wow those singles for only 20p each, fantastic, always liked the safety dance ,lol, keep up the good work, very entertaining as ever, cheers my friend, Dave
Nick, you missed whatever was on that Cactus label, Skinhead reggae 7"! My tastes are somewhat diverse l could have bought tons. Brenda Lee! Mud! Jerry Lee Lewis! Great buys, Lloyd Cole, Altered Images, Chaka Khan, Human League, Housemartins. You did well my son!
I went back later on to the seller with the Lulu album and purchased it. I also intended to buy that 7" on the cactus label but totally forgot....what a silly billy I am !!!
As far as records go,they're a total lottery Harry. I could take footage at the next half a dozen I go to and there will be just the usual rubbish. It's pure luck really.....right place, right time.
Wow you don’t see anything half that good at any price at swap meet or thrift shops here in the US. That human league single is really something, gotta track that down! Those post cards are really cool
It's all just sheer luck at the end of the day. There was a couple looking through the 7" singles before me (I had to wait my turn) and they picked out 35,so goodness knows what I missed out on ??? I'll probably show the postcards a bit more clearly in another video. All the best matey 👍👍👍
Amazing find there Nick! You don’t get singles for 20p each anymore (well not in Manchester anyway, unless there in terrible condition!) I’d love those Haircut One Hundred singles! Used to have Love Plus One as a kid but lost that ages ago, and it was the later plastic injection mould copies in an Arista sleeve, not the paper label one in a proper Haircut One Hundred sleeve!! Great find especially the fistful of dollars soundtrack!! Keep up the good work!!!!
Nice varied video Nick, a bit of crate digging, showing in different ways - minimal editing - nothing too flash mate, liking it. My only gripe was the guy was knocking them out at 20p I'd have taken the time a bit more probably but that's me being critical and scavenging nature. You had a good ponder on the Boy George/Jesus Loves you 12" after the love, I think that's a good tune from what I remember. Always easy to say retrospectively ;-) I'm going to a fair in north London next weekend on the saturday if you were about let me know, It'll be a bit random and specialist though that's the only thing. Harris is the 12" expert anyway and you've gotta know which remixes on them are half decent. I'll stop there as I'm coming across as a bit of a know it all.........
To be honest Martin I knew nothing about that Jesus loves you 12" and didn't even notice who the artist/band was. It seemed to be a bit of a curiosity to be honest 🤔 I was totally out of my depth with those 12" dance tunes. Mr Pilton esquire would have known what's what 👍👍👍
Lovely stuff Nick, I’ve got the 12” single of the Hill Street Blues Theme & the 12” of Spacer & Being Bolied. Head straight to ‘Kick Over The Statues by The Redskins on that free single. Fantastic tune halfway between The Housemartins & Dexys Midnight Runners, you’ll love it! You got a bargain with this singles.
As I've mentioned in another comment,a young couple picked out 35 7" singles before I could get in there for a thumb through, christ knows what I missed out on ??? I see loads of 12" dance remix records,it ain't really my thing though and i wouldn't have a clue about any of it !!!
That was quite a haul Nick. That picture sleeve of Blondie was worth 20p for the picture alone 😁 beautiful woman. I must admit I lost my Dad when he was 52 and I’ve always found it really hard to listen to Living Years, not because it’s a bad song, I just find it so emotional. Love Bow Wow Wow. Great pick ups. Mike
Hello Mike, yes music can be ever so emotional, poignant etc.... I admit I get rather teary eyed when I hear the three songs we had played at my Jackie's funeral, when I've got the radio on in the lorry.
I knew they were local accents lol. Had to have a look in the description, I'm from Peterborough, I used to do security at the racecourse on racedays many moons ago
In the summertime, huntingdon is a great carboot sale to go to.
Thanks for taking time out to watch and comment 👍👍👍

No it wasn't Judge Dread and yes I wish I'd purchased it as well ☹☹☹
I would love to attend a car boot sale!
