I used to have a VHS copy of this film, that had the Dolphin Trainer scene in it. The fact that it is missing from the Prime Video version is a travesty to cinema of the highest degree!
I think I still have that VHS version packed away somewhere :) Also, a version was played on tv a few years after release that had that scene and the extended Cannibal Corpse scene.
In the Cannibal Corpse documentary Centuries of Torment, the rhythm guitarist said that not only did Jim enjoy death metal, he even asked if they would play Rancid Amputation, which is a song from their 2nd album. So he was familiar with their prior albums. In fact I believe he said that Jim even specifically asked the producers and director to star Cannibal Corpse specifically.
I made bootlegs with the scenes mixed in back in the day. I use to do the same with Scary movie 2 because of their unique deleted scenes, also plus more Tim curry.

Six years later, I captured the VHS tape onto my computer, along with my original tape of the movie, then spliced in the deleted scenes into the original cut and made my own "Extended Version", that runs about 10 minutes longer. To this day, I can't watch any other version. It just doesn't seem complete to me without these brilliant deleted scenes.

Movies are "remastered" to suit the service that is offering them, or the studio just doesn't like those scenes, or maybe scenes are cut to make it shorter for TV to show more commercials. There is no legal requirement for them to say that it was done so new viewers never know.
Only the theatrical cut is what you see on dvd, streaming, and movie channels, and the cut shown in theaters never had the scene. The dolphin trainer scene is specifically added to the VHS version (90s broadcast TV cuts may have shown the VHS version on TBS, TNT, etc). This " extra footage" is advertised in huge marketing on the front of the VHS box, and purposely included as an enticement to buy the VHS.
I've known about these scenes for a while and I'm a massive fan of this film but I've never seen them look as good as this so thank you for uploading it.
It looked like a hybrid of Axl trying to dance like Davey Jones of the Monkees and Perry Farrell / Scott Wieland doing their 87-95 seizure snake stage twitching. Glorious. lol

The "Dolphin Trainer" segment is still missing the part where she asks him "Are you finished?" and then he says "Now I'm finished". Also, there was another small snippet of Cox and Tone Loc right before the Superbowl starts and Jim gets to the warehouse. Those deleted scenes are probably still floating around somewhere depending on who taped any of those TBS/TNT broadcasts back in the day when the deleted scenes were almost always added back in.

I had a recorded, HBO/vhs of the movie, and I would see these deleted scenes on tv. which movie is right? lol
As amazing the dolphin trainer part was, I like the alternative take better of how he finds the gem in the filter tank, the frustration and just when he losses hope, he finds what he is looking for with the silent victory grin on his face

The dolphin trainer scene was only deleted on the TV showings. It as in the original movie I owned 100%. All the others were deleted though.
