I drive the Malahat every day and in spring catch the sunrise lighting up the red trunks and green leaves of the Arbutus with a glow heading down hill North just past the split rock lookout.

I totally agree with what you said about the value of landscape photography. For me, photography also has a relaxing and decelerating effect. Simply good for the soul. You are definitely one of the most entertaining, informative and talented photographers I know. I like the cinematic shots in your videos. It makes me want to go out and shoot for myself. Love it when Gavin talks us through his compositions and camera settings and his justification behind them. It just aids the learning process. Plus his top notch Yorkshire humour along with Amanda's Canadian humour. Amanda's always a loyal wife standing by her man even when he wants to take her waist high in freezing water all for photography not to mention his awful dress code! I personally was disappointed that with boots with holes, Gavin didn't wear his flip flops!! 🤣
