Your hand stitching looks lovely. It’s practically perfect. Poodle and popcorn breaks are great ideas I will have to include my dog and popcorn into my sewing 😊
The chemise is so pretty! I love seeing your handwork. Absolutely beautiful! I’m planning to make an 18th century chemise tomorrow lol but I’ve only got cotton organdy so I hope that’s good enough 😅
@@HalflingSeamstress ooo thank you! Yea I’m worried about the stays haha but I’m planning to wear it under an 18th century dress and stays I’m making in summer so I might need it to be lightweight after all 😂!
I love Ever After! And only by watching this did I remember the old cotton chemise stuffed in my jammie drawer. It has gotten pretty thin, and I would love to recreate it somehow.
Your content is always wonderful. Thank you Did the average sewists if the 17th century have access to pins? Or is that the origin of the phrase "pin money"
Pin money was historically the allowance a husband gave to his wife to buy pins, since there were a lot more decorative options for hair and garment closures. Pins have been around for centuries - while I know they were commonly used to fasten finished garments, I can’t say for sure when they started being used to hold the pieces together while sewing.
Love that fantasy! Too bad you didn't have a lake to swim in. I never even thought about trying to make my Renaissance costume similar to Danielle's work dress! I missed out, I don't work it anymore and just go for fun every couple years and only make costumes for my kids now 😢😅
Thank god! I'm fed up of the constant recreations of the breathe dress, when there are so many amazing and awesome gowns and day wear in that movie that never get mentioned or created. So thanks for not doing it. And honestly, I hope you don't in the future either.
The chemise is lovely and "Ever After" is one of my favorite movies.
Incredible work! As always, your videos are SO well done!
Thank you very much!

I love her work dress, normally I tend to like work dresses over the ball gowns
Oh my gosh it's been rough around here the last few weeks and this was so soothing and gentle and I love it thank you.
Thank you so much, that's really encouraging to hear! I hope things are smoother sailing soon :)
Oh my gosh, I LOVE this!
Lovely!
I've never seen this film but I much prefer the work dress to the ball gown.
Thats was cool! 🤙🏻⚡️ here for the poodle content and popcorn breaks😂

Go for it! It might be a little lightweight, but since it’ll be underneath all the other layers it’s better to go lighter weight than heavier 😁

I definitely thought about taking it in a lake! 😂 I’ll have to save that for a future photo shoot :)
