The finger plate makes a return to RUclips, good stuff! Yeh really don't see much of these going round anymore ey, these old Richards machines still go well...like I was told they last a long time. Don't see many single axle vehicle's either. Thumbs up bud.
I'm sure you don't remember me but i was that annoying 10 year old Smashthetrash34, nevertheless i see you finally came to where i live and when i was a kid i grew up in redcliffe and always wanted to show you guys at the time this exact truck but we moved to Pine Rivers which was where the majority of my videos were shot (you know, the terribly shaky ones i was 10 years old lol) Anyway just glad to see someone was able to record these beasts before they went extinct :((
+Just Shrek Yep I remember you, I'm sure everyone else does too as you left an impression ;) haha Yep I did some travelling to get some different stuff in action, glad I got this truck documented... arrived just in time to catch it being the last day of the contract too! Unfortunately I didn't manage to get any of the regular Pine Rivers trucks but.
+MitchellM15 Haha oh yeah I did leave quite the impression, even for a ten year old I got 20k views on a video so I think that's pretty good considering the quality of them. Yeah your really lucky you got to see these tbh last time I saw them in action was 2009 I think and they are currently upgraded to Cleanaway Pak raptors (forgive me I don't know all my terminology completely forgot a lot of it) they service the whole Moreton bay region including where I live currently.
I wish these trucks were still arround, it seems like theyre all getting replaced by newer acco's and Spaks. Do you know if any council in South East QLD or Northern NSW still has these collecting residentially? I'd give anything to go and film these type of truck again, reminds me so much of my childhood :)
SunshineCoastGarboFan I wish more of these were still around too; more fun to watch and they're just awesome. As far as I know these are pretty much extinct in QLD, JJR might not even have any of these as spares, I'm sure the last of the fulltimers up there were out Toowoomba way. As for below the border, Solo RR continues to run a split truck in Kyogle (soloaussie3 got it on video), they just took all their comb lifts out of Port Stephens last month and once August comes they'll be replacing their comb lift fleet in Byron with a fresh grabber fleet. JR Richards continues to run a number of comb lifters around the Hunter Valley and in the Central West, but by the end of 2016 pretty much all of those will be gone too.
SunshineCoastGarboFan Other RUclips users visit my channel and press the subscribe button :D I've been on here posting garbage trucks for well over 7 years now so they've just accumulated. They're not all legitimate subscribers but.
+garbagetrucksaussie Yeh it is about time I throw one of them up, been well over 4 years since I was there! I'll keep Shoalhaven in mind for the near future, I'll probably chuck the garbage video up coz I want to save the Freightliner video for a little longer.

Better go out to Kyogle sometime soon. Also how did you get so many subscribers?
