2:48 "Elmo just witnessed a kidnaping." Really cool, although bit unfortunate that you had to axe the tipping function for the motors. I wish Powered up electronics has like an analog remote controller like standard RC vehicles do, but I don't think that's ever been a thing for Lego's RC's
Micro controllers can do it as well. It's a larger subject, though. You also need the mechanical connections to LEGO parts and it's a lot to engineer/DIY.
You did well. Fun to watch. If you buy 2-3 of those then you can widen it and maybe implement monster wheels. I'm trying to build something with other servos/motors and micro controllers. No idea about certain things, but I got a long way. RC tech was too expensive and I just wanted to start on the micro controller part of it. Getting 3 small trucks and a bit more helped a lot.

Well done! I planned to try something like this when I got the set, but you beat me to it! I was thinking of getting a circuit cubes controller/motor set and using those, since they’re so small.
Nice, now I really want the set, and the ability to just knock a motor a few times on something and then it gets motorized. Pybrick is quite nice, works great, I have made the red passenger train (from 2010) automatic with so it stops at different stations and return at ending stations
@@IsaiahClayton * nah, but what i *DO* know is that the real life truck is electric, and Lego specifically added the word “electric” in the name because of this.
I got the 42169 NEOM McLaren Formula E Team which has 2x pullback motors but also it weirdly has steering. It is weird for a pullback motor but it seems like the designers are leaving space for motorisation options. The Spike Essential motor looks the perfect size to sort out steering. Curious what you could pull together.
Hi! Have you published a motorized manual? I can pay for it :) My son saw your video, and now we have to do it too ;) We bought lego motors, but it's not easy for me to change a build.
Late to the party. It's so impressive that you fit all the motors and hub in this model. Absolutely fantastic job.

But it does now! Pybricks (used in this video) also supports the Xbox Controller. You can read all the buttons and analog joysticks and triggers.
@@pybricks LOL, it's funny only 2 month later my prays were answered.
Thank you, you and your team are doing amazing work.

WOW! that battery box fits so perfectly 🤩
no way, this is very impressive!
the way you spedran it in under a minute is INSANE
(definitely didn't take me 5 hours to build)
3:01 Loved it.

Would be cool to install proxy sensor, so when it detects the can, starts the motion
That was my first plan, but It got really tight in the model.
@@LasseDeleuranMaybe the Boost sensor woold work.
Very cool, wouldn't have the instructions on how to do this?

1:55 so satisfying
Congratulations, a very elegant design!!!

Yeah, the system has so much potential. I also want to see what is possible with automation of trains.
Thanks Casper!
Animation a lot of fun! 😃
2:48 Oscar grouch be like oh brother looks like I’ve been dumped in the truck. I guess I’m off to grouch land
Pure asmr at the start beautiful work
Please release PDF instructions for this model
I‘ve got the same Garbage truck. I love the new paper bags. They are easier to open.
Wow! So great!
May I know how to set those spike motors into the set?
Do I need to write any program code?
Wow! Can Mars Rover Perseverance be motorized?
Nice work my friend!! 👏 We've just got this set and love it. You've done a really good job here.
I'm building one today!
I’m confused on how you complete step 18 it’s hard to see in the book and I can’t see well in the video
* pretty sure it’s an electric garbage truck, hence the “electric” word in the set name.
You do realize that motor is electric powered and engine is a fuel source powered?
@@IsaiahClayton * nah, but what i *DO* know is that the real life truck is electric, and Lego specifically added the word “electric” in the name because of this.
@@Sans_the_skeleton_realit's literally screaming for motorisation
@@Sans_the_skeleton_realIt is an EV that’s why also that would make the set cost like $250
its just like the back of the truck was made for the hub you put in there :)
can you moterise the john deere 9600
Perfect for the dumpster fire that has already proved to be 2024!

Excellent. A new challenge :)
Good video. Everything was good.
NOOO GROUCHO
love it!
I want a set like that
I am sorry but I need to ask you jot to turn the small Spike Esentials motors. They get easily demaged because of that.
I found this set early at target and it came with the plastic bags
how did u alreadyd motorize it and the form facotr why
I love it❤

Can you do this using iOS or do u need a computer ..? Brilliant video 👏🏻
That's so cool
Everything about the performance of the garbage collection piece makes me think that this set was supposed to be a powered up set
i lost it when you picked up Oscar the Grouch 🤣🤣🤣
2:00 genius
I wish lego power functions of all types weren't so dang expensive 😭
I'll do it with cada micro motors
This should have been the set itself!
this is funny as hell❤
Brilliant :)
Very good job
I got the same thing
Lego should add a garbage compacter to that set
cool
where do you put the motors in this system? I am currently trying to do this with no experience.
Just tap them 3 times!
Did you watched whole video?
ur funny.. subscribed 😂👍
reminds me a lot of rokenbok
Cool i love lego
