- The Coronavirus, or the Covid-19 pandemic is continuing to hurt airlines around the world. Demand for air travel among holidaymakers, businessmen and executives has stooped to record low levels; making large aircrafts such as the Boeing 747 and the Airbus A380 unusable. Qantas Airways and KLM in particular, have opted not to temporarily ground the aircraft, but to bring forward the retirement of these birds. They will be missed!

Sad times
Indeed :(
Sad! It is really an end of an era😭
Truely is
FYI, Qantas was the only airline that was all-747 for a few years. However it hasn't operated the 747-8.
That is a good point, however I believe they operate cargo services with 747-8 aircraft on behalf of Atlas Air Cargo, meaning they have officially operated some sort of service on all 747 models.
