Great job
What is the model of this Ibanez?
I used to call it "octave displacement", so I just learned a new term. To me, "pivot" referred to using a chord to change key, often a diminished 7th chord.
I've heard the same thing
Interesting! I’ve never heard pivot used in the other way you described 👍
@@ChaseMaddox yeah using a pivot chord to modulate 🤙
this is gold
Thanks Raul! 🙏
Excellent lesson much appreciated Chase
My pleasure, David! 🙏
@@ChaseMaddox many thanks, I have played through it, really makes more sense now!!!! Although I want to go through it with your video to fully digest. Best Sibbs
Thanks, this is very useful. It is true, however, that the chord connections/voice leading you demonstrate at the end are not unique to pivot arpeggios. They work exactly the same way for arpeggios that don't pivot. The only difference is the register in which the continuing line is played as it moves to the V chord.
Great video brother 🙌
Thanks bro 😎 🤘
Great vid thanks Chase 👌
Thanks for watching Len! 🤘
Thanks..really practical and didactic!
Glad it was helpful! 🤘
You're awesome for doing this, really appreciate it :)
I appreciate that! Thanks Moi! 🤘
Can you explain more detail p the 1st example when you talk about going from Bb to F7? Totally lost me.Thanks
Which part? Happy to explain more, but I don’t know what example you’re referring to and what part lost you.
So pivot arpeggios use octave displacement?
Yes 👍
