Albe I’m registered for medical marijuana because I’m a gunshot victim and I suffer from spinal pain and bad spasms and anxiety. They have pharmacists that can help and suggest what is good for your type of pain. It depends what the potency of the THC which can be a high level or a lower level. They actually have some that has a small potency of THC and is mixed with CBD as well. And they have three different ones like for during the day and the kind that helps you sleep. The kind for during the day to help you tolerate pain is called Sativa and Indica is for to help you sleep to control pain. Then there’s Hybrid which is mixed the Sativa and the Indica. It just really depends on how much of the potency your body can take. And the dispensaries will tell you if you intake too much it can make you sick.

Strange that this only happens after legalization in half the country. But don't blame the massive amount of pesticides and fungicides approved safe for use on tobacco. Tobacco didn't start causing major health issues until after it was commercialized. Let's see if we can ruin cannabis too.

    • @Egzoset
      @Egzoset Год назад +20

The thing is such contaminant amounts don't actually needs to be massive as toxicities just like medications don,t simply add up: they multiply. Alcohol and prescription pills being a striking reminder of that little detail...
Now what happens if so-called "regulation" includes a concept of *NON-DETECTION* levels? Depending where on lives the "legal" market for "sanitory" additives alone counts by the hundred, 200 in Washington as proposed years ago via "i502" - i can only wonder how many more today and that's not accounting for 3rd-world countries as Brazil just yet!
How much does it cost and how much time would it require to detect this many "traces" for starters? Where are the long-term studies reflecting the astronomical numbers of synergy-boosted recipes with no combinatorial C(n, r) restrictions??
Finally think of indu$trial strawberries and our human body equipped with filtering organs to deal with those "traces" interacting. How often do we eat them compared to the habit of smoking/inhaling cannabis?... E.G. many times per evening if not per day, perhaps every day too, every week, year, decade... All life long. Then lets ask ourselves this most basic question again: where's the long-term studies on savvy synergy-boosted NON-DETECTION recipes involving contaminants by the dozen out of catalogs rating in the hundreds!
Ah, and if an insect could speak: dear mister nuisible insect, do you ultra-sensitive antennas still detect that stinking stuff although laboratories don't... Did the indu$trials manage to avoid detection and simultaneously retain a pest-control function?... Which would explain our Z-elite$ need to include *NON-DETECTION* into the rules without much public debate on it, if any at all...

@@My2CentsYall your the one being ignorant, where did I mention daily recreational use? Marijuana has historically been ignored when it comes to medical testing. Thankfully there has been headway made, but still lots of non bias studies need to be done. THC/CBD combination is very effective medicine and seems to have far less side effects than most competing pharmaceuticals. Theres just not enough studies.
I saw a comment you made about marijuana not being like cigarettes. Funny you rationalize daily use for those, despite marijuana being less harmful even when consumed daily(as it’s usually in far less amounts in terms of smoke).
With this sickness, first we really dont know enough about it. Second it’s usually linked not just to daily marijuana users but users who consumed marijuana products with very high THC percentage.

Potent pot odor causes nausea in people that don't smoke and are victims of second hand pot smoke because it lingers longer and carries further, for example in apartment complexes but pot smokers don't care how they affect others, its ironic that their habit is now making some of them nauseous too...

As someone who became a medical patient in their late twenties. I noticed that I had greater relief from THC Vapes and gummies but over time after consistent (and abusive use) I realized when I tried to wean off I had to take hot baths like 3x a day. I had to deal with constant chills, gag reflex being randomly activated, sweating out of the wazoo. It was intense. My best advice if you’re one who is affected by these symptoms is to
    1) Use only at night (if using recreationally) If you’re vaping then make sure you’re tracking the dosage and avoid blinkers
    2) if you can curtail use to once a week or on the weekend that helps a lot. Once a month and you’re golden and the high feels so much better!
    3) exercise and eat healthy. This was the hardest for me. Started waking up before work to run/calisthenics. When I was high frequently I made sure to eat clean meals. Even better you get TWO highs; one from eating clean and two me from being…well high.
    4) Understand the strains. Indica has been proven to affect short term memory loss and create a couch-lock feeling and sativa is great for those who need energy throughout the day. This is a very generalized overview and the terpenes add various other effects but would be too much to get into here
    5) If you’re having trouble ceasing abusive use try to find an accountability partner. That made a huge difference for me as well
I’m sorry to anyone having to go through this as it can be very painful. I still will vouch for weed being a better alternative than alcohol and harder substances but the universal rule for every drug is
“If you abuse it, it will abuse you back tenfold”

Instead of them just saying “hey y’all drink more water”

No one is saying cannabis is bad. Often people who have CHS remain advocates for it. Its more so the legalization had opened up for stronger and a multitude of varieties of THC. Stronger THC levels in weed can lead to CHS because your body basically gets overwhelmed by the cannabinoids. The goal of this segment was not to make marijuana look bad or to discourage the legalization, it’s more to just bring an awareness to CHS as many doctors still don’t even know about it and there aren’t very many treatments to help people diagnosed. I’ve had CHS and it’s honestly one of the worst things I’ve had to go through. The CHS community really just want to be heard.

I was hospitalized 4 times for dehydration due to the bouts of vomiting from being nauseous all the time. I figured it out in my own that it was due to smoking from unclean bongs. I stopped for a month and then slowly started back but made sure i cleaned it daily and I havent had the issue for 5 yrs. Make sure youre smoking with clean equipment is one place to start. I’d quit smoking for a few weeks-months sometimes and i’d start smoking again and feel great and then bam 3 weeks go by and the cycle would start all over again. ER wouldn’t find anything and the only thing that would help me was if I quit smoking. It felt like withdrawal symptoms quitting and after 2 weeks i’d feel completely normal again. She got violently ill one day and had to be taken away in the ambulance. I of course just assume the doctors would figure out what's wrong with her. She was throwing up non-stop,All of her lab work was off and yet the doctors could not figure out what was wrong with her. She couldn't eat. She was throwing up.She was wasting away there in the hospital bed for 5 days and still no diagnosis. I was desperately searching online and I'm the one who had to beg the doctors to believe me of what I thought it was. I even had to beg them to give her haldol which I looked up is what they give these people. They looked mad at me and upset but one of them finally listened and gave her haldol. Within a half hour she was doing better and could sip on some fluids, before then she would throw up anything and had to be given her nutrition through an IV. That's when they diagnosed her with CHS.

You might heal some of your health issues if you heal your defensive nature. There's nothing wrong with a nurse trying to give information about possible health conditions. The cortisol in your blood is way more toxic, it triggers autoimmune conditions like that. Constant exposure by your own toxic thought patterns will only worsen your health. This will probably offend you. Some are conscious others aren't, duality and all we need it, I suppose.
Don't spend more than a few minutes thinking about this if it's offensive. It will only worsen your health. If it helps good for you. I suffered from CHS for a little over a year after smoking for 10 years with no issues. I was in and out of hospitals and specialists but never got a solid answer about why I was so sick. I was miserable and depressed because I couldn't do anything and was missing out on life with my family. Finally, about 10 months in, a new doctor at the ER suggested that it might be CHS. At the time, I hadn't heard of it and shrugged it off. 2 months later, I eventually grew so tired of being sick all the time that I decided "What would it hurt to quit for a while and see if what that one doctor said was actually true?". A week later, I was feeling better. I wasn't 100% yet but it was a major improvement to what I was dealing with for the past year. I haven't smoked in 2 years now and I'm doing relatively great. Not smoking made me realize that I had some other massive stuff going on with my body that I never noticed because the marijuana was covering it up. I'm still on medication because my esophogus was so badly damaged that it doesn't control my stomach acid very well anymore and I also lost all my top teeth and some of my bottom back teeth because the constant sickness eroded them past the point of repair but I'll take that over dealing with CHS again.
I'm still pro-marijuana but smokers need to know that this CAN happen and to know the signs before it's too late.

I got chs and I did not know I had it. I smoked weed for 30 years everyday. My chs came about 3 years ago. The first thing that happened was I was smoking a spliff, and halfway through smoking the spliff, I had very bad nausea, stomach pains and stomach cramps and I then vomited, i didn't understand why i vomited so I continued to smoke. 3 months before this happened. My marriage broke down and I was missing my children so much I could not cope, so I was already in a bad state of depression and not sleeping or eating much. I continue to smoke after this first bout of vomiting. After this first bout of vomiting, i could not eat food, and my insomnia kicked in very badly. Maybe I'm just eating two spoons of my dinner per day, and maybe 2 to 3 hours of sleep a night. I continue to smoke weed. I worked through this whole period doing manual labour, and somehow my body was still functioning, and I felt strong even with lack of sleep and hardly eating food. I was functioning on Coca-Cola, Lucozade, and spliffs. Basically I was ill for 6 months and continue to smoke without knowing the reason for my sickness. 6 months later, I hit a brick wall, and my body started to shut down. I went from 17 and a half stone down to 12 stone in 6 months. I started getting stomach cramps, stomach pain, vomiting from time to time, gastro problems, hypnic jerks when trying to sleep, Tinnitus in the ears. once I did fall to sleep then I woke up with tremors. Muscle spasms. Muscle stiffness. Muscle pain. Bone pain. Muscle spasms in my back . Found it hard to walk. Numbness down my legs. Vomiting, nausea.Waking up with numbness in my arms and hands. Anxiety, Muscle spasms in my throat, throat tightening every time I lie down to try to sleep. Constipation, Haemorrhoids. I could not urinate properly. The Muscle spasms in my throat when I try to lie down were causing my throat to close. All this time, i was going to the doctor's and getting nothing back from the doctors with regards to why I was getting all these symptoms. The doctor was offering me muscle relaxant tablets but I could not take them because they made a lot of my symptoms worse. the doctor was telling me to sleep sitting up due to my throat closing when lying down. They sent me for every check-up you could imagine and found nothing about the causes of my sickness. They did find I had developed a hiatus hernia. As more time went past, the muscle spasms in my throat got so bad that I could not smoke because my throat started to close when standing or sitting. This obviously stopped me from smoking. My anxiety and depression were so bad from missing my kids and all the symptoms from the chs and I was still not diagnosed. I felt like I was dying. My nervous system was in a very bad way. I was researching everywhere and came across CHS. I then took this to the doctor, and they diagnosed me with CHS. I continue to work through this whole period. Looking back, I do not know how I got through. But I think the continuous moving of the body was helping me somehow. I started to eat a little better and slowly slowly I started to put my weight back on. After 1 year of me sleeping sitting up I was finally able to lie down without my throat going into spasms so I could lay down I started to sleep a little better slowly slowly. It's been 2 and a 1/2 years since stopping smoking. After 1 year, I was still in a very bad way, with many symptoms still remaining. After about a year and a half they found a 7 mm polyp which they cut out of my stomach. Through this whole period of me being sick with chs i had found having hot baths with Epsom salts was helping me a great deal. Putting warm olive oil all over my muscles was also helping. Drinking bone broth also helped a lot. After 2 years, my haemorrhoids started to calm down. I was able to go to the toilet better. Both urinating and pooing. It's been 2 and 1/2 years, and I still have tinnitus in the ears and spasms in my back and back pain, but it's nothing like the spasms and back pain I had before. I'm still suffering a little bit with insomnia. And when I wake from sleep, my arms and hands still go numb and numbness down the outside of my right leg mainly my knee and thigh. The biggest help I have found in my healing period was through cranial therapy. When I start to feel quite good, sometime I would try to drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes. Drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes seems to bring back some symptoms. I tried to drink sometimes to test my body. But then I realised I could not drink. Same with smoking cigarettes. Some symptoms start to come back. I have come to the realisation that I can not drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes. And obviously cannot smoke cannabis for the rest of my life. Even standing next to someone who is smoking a spliff affects me. I was always a very fit and strong individual and felt invincible. But this whole experience has humbled me. Please look after yourself and your health mentally and physically. The one good thing I can see about CHS is that if you stop smoking weed and live a healthy life it can go away. As I said I still have some symptoms. But I feel like if I look after myself hopefully I pray to God that all my symptoms will eventually go away. it is possible that there is damage done that cannot be repaired from but I am very thankful and go forward with a positive mindframe. It is very good to see that there is information out there for people to find. It did not occur to me to go on RUclips and type in chs back then. But even the videos on RUclips here do not talk about half my symptoms. I obviously took chs to the Brim. And maybe I'm very lucky. But it is very good to see there is information out there and people are learning more and more everyday about CHS. If you feel you have CHS the beginner of CHS or you feel you have had it for a while please stop smoking now. Go and seek help. As I said the best thing that I found helped me was cranial therapy and God. God bless you all out there, peace 🙏

@dan3nad I started smoking a New Strand I had never smoked before. I think it took me about 4 years to come back to some sort of normality after i stoped smoking. It's funny you send me this message now. Because the Wednesday just gone I relapse for the first time in 4 years. Was drinking alcohol and I smoked maybe a quarter of a spliff. I felt things started to go wrong, so I decided to try and walk home. I could not make it home I collapsed to the floor on the streets and I was struggling to breathe. I was not unconscious but I could not raise my head and I did not have control over my limbs. Someone had spotted me on the floor. it was 1:00 a.m and they called a ambulance for me. The ambulance done tests on me and found that my oxygen level was very low. And my blood pressure was very low. I was also highly dehydrated. They put me on oxygen put me on a drip. Drive me to the hospital. Through the night they gave me about 7 drips. Before every trip they said to me that they will be putting me on a drip getting my blood back up and sending me home. But my blood level was not going back up. that's why they gave me seven drips all in all. Until eventually my blood pressure started to rise and then they let me home about 11:00 am the next day. I've been at home resting up for the past 4 days. My friend if you have CHS I suggest you stop smoking straight away. No ifs or buts. Stop alcohol and stop cigarettes if you drink and smoke. Thank you for reaching out with your reply. Take care of yourself and God bless you.

@dan3nad my friend, you have to stop drinking alcohol completely. You must not smoke cigarettes. It took me about 3 and a half years to be able to drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes. I'm not joking. The CHS has affected your nervous system. I believe CHS damages the vagus nerve, which affects your whole digestive system. Your muscular system and affects the whole body from functioning properly. Your body could take years to recover. it's a very slow process. Through my time of recovery, I had many setbacks, meaning I would try to smoke a cigarette or drink alcohol and symptoms would come back. My friend tried to understand you can not do anything to do with affecting the brain, as in smoking or drinking or any other drugs. You need a life change. It's not easy. But your body would not allow you to do anything like this. You will get sick. Try and find someone who is very good with many years of experience in cranial therapy. This will help your recovery system speed up. Try to do light exercises like swimming or walking. And definitely do not do any heavy exercise. Only drink water. Try not to eat too much red meat. And eat foods high in fibre. Try to find bone broth and drink it. CHS symptoms will not come from you smoking weed only. All those that will make you the sickest, cigarettes and alcohol and any other drug will affect you. Sometimes, prescription drugs can affect you as well. You need to understand in your mind that you are sick. But you can get well if you stay away from all types of drugs and alcohol. It will take time for you to get rid of symptoms. Now, I have stopped smoking again, and i have stopped drinking alcohol again. Try to keep yourself going to the toilet regularly , by that I mean doing a poo. Try to keep a positive mind. Stress will make your symptoms worse. Depression will make your symptoms worse. You need to get your vagus nerve working properly. Stress and depression do not help the vagus nerve. You will be ok. If you stay away from all these things drugs alcohol etc. Change your life for the better. In time you see the benefits. But when you feel like you are well. Do not go backwards. Because your symptoms will come back. Try to be happy try to laugh. Make sure you get sleep. The body recovers best when sleeping. Just relax and understand it will take time for your body to get back to normal. But it may never get back to complete normal because you will not be able to do any type of drugs. My friend anytime you have any questions please ask. Take care of yourself. Your battle right now is in your mind. Understand what's wrong. Understand what you need to be doing, and he will be ok. Your body needs to recover do not put unnecessary stress on it. God bless you

I have found CHS has damaged my vagus nerve. This is some information I found on the internet about a damaged vagus nerve. The symptoms I had with my CHS mirror damaged vagus nerve. A damaged vagus nerve can cause a range of symptoms because the nerve affects many areas of the body:
Digestive issues: Acid reflux, bloating, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, or feeling full after eating little
Voice changes: Hoarseness, wheezing, or loss of voice
Chronic coughing: Vagus nerve damage can cause chronic coughing.
Pain in the throat: Vagus nerve damage can cause pain in the throat
Swallowing and gag reflex: Difficulty swallowing or loss of gag reflex
Heart and blood pressure changes: Changes in heart rate or blood pressure, or low blood pressure
      Dizziness or fainting
damage to the vagus nerve can affect sleep patterns:
      Low vagal tone
Low vagal tone can lead to sleep disturbances, insomnia, fatigue, and other physiological symptoms of depression. Other symptoms: Unexplained weight loss, brain zaps, or impending doom
Mood changes: Depression, anxiety, or chronic mood issues
damage to the vagus nerve can affect the bowels:
damage to the vagus nerve can cause muscle twitching
damage to the vagus nerve can cause tinnitus, or ringing in the ears. The vagus nerve sends sensory feedback signals that help with hearing, and when the nerve is damaged or compressed, these signals can become incorrect or blocked.
damage to the vagus nerve can affect muscles in the larynx, pharynx, and other parts of the body:
damage to the vagus nerve can cause numbness, tingling, or other sensory symptoms:
      Gastroparesis
When the vagus nerve is damaged, food may not move from the stomach to the intestines.
      Poor digestion
When the vagus nerve isn't working properly, the stomach may not produce enough acid to digest food. This can lead to bloating, cramping, diarrhea, constipation, or gastro-esophageal reflux.
      Digestive conditions
Poor vagal nerve function can be linked to digestive conditions such as:
      Heartburn, acid reflux, or GERD
IBS, including chronic constipation and diarrhea
Inflammatory bowel disease, such as ulcerative colitis
      SIBO (Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth)
damage to the vagus nerve can cause unexplained weight loss.
The vagus nerve is part of the autonomic nervous system, which controls unconscious bodily functions like sweating, breathing, and digestion. It's also part of the parasympathetic nervous system, which helps the body calm down after a stressful situation.
The first thing to combat CHS is to stop smoking straight away. Do not smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol. Drink plenty of water. Eat foods high in fibre. Start straight away by trying to strengthen the vagus nerve.
There are several ways to strengthen or stimulate the vagus nerve, including:
      Breathing
Deep, slow, diaphragmatic breathing can activate the vagus nerve. You can try belly breathing, where your stomach expands as you inhale.
      Cold therapy
Applying cold compresses to your face or neck, or taking a cold shower, can stimulate the vagus nerve.
      Massage
Massaging the back of your ears and the front side of your ear can stimulate the vagus nerve. You can also try carotid sinus massage, which involves lightly massaging the carotid artery in your neck.
      Exercise
Endurance activities like jogging, cycling, and swimming can stimulate the vagus nerve.
      Diet
Eating a whole-foods diet, and taking probiotics or omega-3 fatty acids, can support the vagus nerve.
      Meditation
      Meditation can improve vagal tone.
      Singing and humming
Singing and humming can increase vagal tone.
      Positive social connections
Spending time with people who make you laugh and smile can have a positive benefit on vagal tone. I have found cranial therapy helps a great deal. I hope this information can help you whoever has taken the time to read this. God bless you all

Like your son, the ONLY thing that brought some relief would be a hot shower. On days this would happen I would literally take 10-15 showers. I would get in and stay in until the hot water ran out. Then I would get out just long enough for the hot water to heater to heat up and get back in. The showers didnt stop my vomiting but it somehow brought relief. When I first started experiencing this I would end up going to the ER but I learned it was pointless bc they never could do anything to help relieve my symptoms and didnt know what was causing it.

After smoking I wouldn't get high anymore but rather go to dark places and have terrible thoughts and/or dreams. My sister started smoking about a decade after I quit and she started having severe mental issues. She has been struggling with them for the past 8/9 years now. On and off meds, quitting then smoking again. It's only in the last couple of months where she's accepted her condition, quit weed and takes her medication seriously. We haven't had a relapse or episode in a year, I think. Which is tremendous progress. Over the last 8 years we were guaranteed at least two periods a year where she would go off the rails. I had these issues about 6 months ago. I would smoke about 4 blunts a day. More often at work. I wouldn't feel high usually after 30 minutes. So i would increase my use. When one day i was smoking. I felt dizzy and fuzzy. At first im like " im just really high." Then my legs started to shake uncontrollably. I was looking into it. I found an article that weed or cannabis can cause maddive panic attacks. That cause mass amounts of adrenaline into the blood. By time ems got there i had calmed down. But the experience didn't get me down. I just ignored it. Rolled a blunt and didn't touch it all day. I took two hits and the same symptoms started again but they were worse. It was harder to breathe. My heart felt like it was exploding in my chest. My stomach hurt and i just couldn't stand up without getting so light headed. I called ems and they told me that i need to stop smoking since i can not handle my weed. I started doing more research while smoking. The last time i smoked before quitting. I took two hits out of a one hitter. I stood up. Then i fell back down. It felt like someone just punched me in the chest so hard it hurt. I laid down and started to talk myself through it. My veins felt like bloons then they just popped. Like my body just started shaking uncontrollably. My chest was hurting also. I struggled to call 911 because my hands started go not respond to me. I couldn't move them straight. Ems gets there i get the courage to open the door. When i open the door. I couldn't see anymore. My vision was blurry like pictures but the camera was out of focus. The EMS treated me like i was having a bad time on the weed. They were like " we see this all the time. You are fine. Just quit smoking" Im still shaking so they check my blood pressure. 268/220 heart rate 128 resting and getting higher. The beeping on the machine was so loud. I thought it was normal. The EMS was in disbelief over my results. He claimed his machine was wrong. Then manual checked my blood pressure. It was reading about the same. "Yup, this guy is having a stroke."

That’s crazy I had this when I was 13 years old and the doctors had no clue what was wrong with me after 3 weeks of hallucinations they admitted me into the mental hospital for 3 weeks and it still affected me for 10 years after that … and I just found this video today

Capsaicin cream to the abdomen helps this, this was going on long before it was legal, used to see it in ER and urgent care.

Capsaicin cream completely stopped my vomiting. I didn't have to go to the ER.

I think its related to the foods we eat. I literally had all the same symptoms and i eat horrible . Ive been smoking for years and this is the first time im eating bad since i got older. I feel like a simple change in diet will provent all this. Do your research and stay healthy !!

I may not have MS but I can spot BS real quick! There are a lot of people they need to add to their study, by the way... they forgot to include the research on this... Which researchers were we referring to exactly?

I was diagnosed with CHS. After smoking for over 20 years every single day I had to stop. After constantly ending up in hospital for this I couldn’t take it anymore the pain, vomiting, sweats. I’m now 1month without smoking let’s see if it goes away.

Exactly. She diagnosed her self. She went to web MD and made up a diagnosis for herself, so she could feel pity for herself.
