I love how there was no drama with getting the taste of the powers. None of his friends were even worried he'd be tempted to take the deal, he just made an equivalent of subscribing to Netflix, binging entire Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, then canceling before the first payment.

The titans have been some of my favorite characters since I grew up watching the OG cartoon and ravens easily a top 3 character EVER for me. But I gotta say reading this comic when it dropped was kinda triggering because it just proved my theory that Raven legit could just GIVE them ALL Superman esque powers whenever TF she wanted but just doesn’t haha 😭🙌 She’s clapped Neron EASILY a few times now, she should be handing out those magic buffs like Strange was in the What If season 1 finale seriously 💀

I really love these stories that acknowledge the broader DC world. I always hate it when there is like 1 protagonist facing global annihilation and like, every other superhero and villain on the planet is just presumably either ignorant or completely unconcerned.
95% of the time or more, most DC heroes should just shout "Superman! help!" and whatever insane crisis they face is over in 3 seconds flat. Yeah, it'd make for a shitty story but, the protag not trying for Superman is worse. This comic did great by including the broader world while trying to root out corruption by-the-books and allowing "regular" people to handle the public side, which is far more nuanced than villain X has a weapon/whatever piece of nonsense that hero Y may not be able to handle this time.
I need his mindset I can never in a million years give up such power for the child of my enemy.
