This game is way too hard with no tooltips to explain details about everything. If I can’t understand base mechanics, it makes me not want to play anymore. For as challenging as Souls games are, at least they fairly teach you the mechanics.
I finished this and OMG, have I been struggling to find good LP's. So, then I'm talking with someone about Shallowheart being racist and having a selfish alignment. They respond with: "is selfish the same as chaotic neutral?". My non-D&D brain connects the dots and I realise where I've heard someone say they always play chaotic neutral in D&D. Hi. I never played anything DnD related and im not that good at complex (at least for me) RPGs like this but its still fun. Im quick saving like no tomorrow even tho i probably shouldn’t, but i don’t wanna miss anything especially when the Dice F‘s you over lol
Been playing since BG3 got into early acces and today I reached my 100-hour mark, been of course experimenting a lot with different classes in Early acces but have settled on playing a Druid Drow for my first proper playthrough. Can't wait to see how you experience this game, Lobos.
I like the concept of Baldur's Gate but it is a bit more RPG than I like in my RPG's. I like Divinity Original Sin as well but only got so far for that same reason. This game still looks like fun but I may wait for a sale. I already have D:OS 1/2 I never beat and Wasteland 3.

Hey Lobos- just dropped in to share with you that I built a literal IKEA shelf in the time that was spent in character creation. Not a bad thing, just means there’s that many options!
Something I've gotta say If you have trouble with naming characters, try two simple methods; names backwards or removing first/last letter of common names. Eric becomes Eri, James becomes Semaj. Most have a favorite name they use for all characters,but others just change with each character/class. It's not perfect, but gives you a starting point and the creative juices flowing from there.
LUL i haven't been on the channel for a while, but i saw lobos playing this the other day, and as soon as i tune in, lobos is wreaking havok shoving cows and innocent bystanders willy nilly hahahahaha and thanks lobos for welcoming me back :D it was a very nice warm feeling; hope you've been well :)
some of the rolls he lost because he didnt hit the "add bonus" button. free stats just lost lol. that and they do let you reroll sometimes: if you do something that fits your character background you get "inspiration" that you can spend for a reroll later. also also, by default the rng is weighted to not allow loss streaks and lobos turned it off intentionally. if you just play the game on default settings, have a balanced party, use the right people for the job, do some roleplay choices, use bonuses, and just in general try to play as "correct" as you can, failing a roll is actually incredibly rare. for example, at lvl 4 my rogue has a +15 bonus to slight of hand rolls and 4 rerolls in reserve, pretty hard to fuck up even a DC20 at that point
@@vslogic6894 no, I mean having a button that says "re-roll" at character creation, so you're not stuck with whatever garbage the random # machine gives you at first. Pretty sure previous BG games had it, as have other RPGs of this type. They could have done it, and they should have.

I'm talking about completely re-rolling all 6 ability scores at the time the character is created, so they all re-randomize. And being able to do that many times in a row until you get a roll you like.

Finished my first playthrough today after sinking about 80 incredible hours into it - you're gonna have a blast, of that you can be certain.
I'm just now Level 8, I already want to start a new playthrough as a druid

I had the demo too! Then I was amazed when my dad bought me the whole game and there were sooo many discs. Never had seen so many.

god those ability score rolls suck! why don't they let you re-roll?
