14:21 it's confirmed!! THE PIT WILL NO LONGER BE A PROBLEM!
I literally scrolled down to comment that he should start dumping scraps of whatever projects he works on into the pit to slowly start filling it around 8 minutes in, then read your comment and finished watching the video first. Glad I did because my idea would be dangerous as hell

The prophesy shall be ful- _filled_
(and the peasants rejoiced)
Greetings from Sydney, Australia! I heartily approve of The Good Place. I hope our upside down bits don't affect your computer too much. The smoke here in Sydney was joined by dust the other day. Then it rained. It was raining mud! I am expecting a plague of frogs any day now.
Use the diffusion layers in the broken LCD screens to have free and easy studio lighting! DIY Perks did a video on it. They'd be great for lighting the new presentation area. I made a fake ceiling light out of an old 40" LCD tv.
The Australian bits dying of smoke inhalation made my day (I live in NSW Australia) btw the Australian bits will also be slow
Very VERY slow is they came via Skymuster...damn thing is over stressed sure, but 150Gb "excessive"? Come on, NBNCo, this isn't the damn 2000s!
@@databanks 150GB is excessive? I go through that on my own in a few weeks. Add in the rest of the house and we easily reach 500gb every month taking it easy.
@@gen157 Exactly! But the halfwit beancounters at NBNCo Australia warn that exceeding 150Gb a month on Skymuster satellite internet (which is usually the ONLY internet available if you're on it, no one in their right mind would take it if other options were available) will result in possible suspension of service. But they first throttle your service at whatever data allowance you can afford ($65 a month for 65Gb in my case, can't afford the full 150Gb on a disability pension). Quite a few months now I've been throttled to 256kbps because of a single xbox or PC game update. Damn monopoly services.
Slow and upside down
"I'm bleeding... AGAIN!"
I felt that.
Me watching the video: please say, "fill in the pit..." Please say it's fill in the pit. I really hope the big project is... YES!!! HE'S FILLING IN THE PIT!!
You need an injury counter. Days (or maybe minutes) since last injury :D
Just like in the simpsons!
He could use one of the displays without a working touch screen for that.
Yeah, but it'd constantly be on 0. Maybe 1 once in a while.
More like seconds since last injury!
Congrats on being able to fill in what you’ve been hoping to fill in! Bye bye pit! Maybe make a time capsule to place in there for future generations to find?
No, as a twisted joke, get a human skeleton like the medical schools get, and bury that in the pit. Future generations will wonder who got buried there. :D
I am always short of storage space, so filling in that void causes me some distress... but glad for you to have it the way you want it!
The little "yay" is my favorite thing in this video
"If I tragically die out here I can call and let someone know." LOL
Just thinking about your pit - get an engineer to look at it first before filling it in - my dad built an extra wing to the house and one of the rooms called for a pit area filled in with concrete to make the finished floor level but an engineer caught it and said if he filled the area in with concreate it would destabilise the floor making it too heavy and end up snapping the foundation floating pad of the wing. Thus it was changed to wood which was a lot cheaper and easier to make - but they forgot to tell him to put air bricks in that area so a few years later the floor/room had issues - QED I would use wood to level off the floor
Those LED lights from Amazon are great. I installed them in my garage and they made a huge difference for not a lot of cash.
I got some similar ones from Harbor Freight and I've only installed 2 of the 4 and it's already amazing.
These are the best videos on YT right now. I get such a laugh from everything you do. It’s great.
Glad to see the new circuit for the outlets. Not only meets code but it really sucks when a tool shorts out and you are also suddenly in the dark. I also went with Hyperikon light for the kitchen light back when they were new and quite pricy. It is internally switchable for color temperature and the coolest 3k setting let's my food look normal.
Cool, enough stuff to make 3 working kiosks! Idk what to use them for other than some entertainment in the shop but i love them!
I really like your commentary and editing style. Makes installing neon lights worth watching.
Bless those who sponsor you. Also: Nice lights. We will miss the snake pit.

_The pit shall be filled_
I did not expect such momentous news coming out of this unassuming video.
THE PIT IS FINALLY GONNA BE FILLED! I'm excited.
Yes, you do - I was just about to ask about the mop on your head but you clarified it for me at the last moment - thank you - it will be good to see you again as we have come to know you..:)
Thanks for the inspiration. After seeing this and happening upon a pile of shop lights at Costco, I undertook a similar project for my 75% car garage. Made a huge difference for $40.
As usual a pleasure to watch your videos. Hope your ankle is well again by now.
I'm so happy you got sponsor.
All the best and wish you great success
That pit was a perfect place for a dyno, and/or a wash/quick service point. just filling it with concrete is taking steps back.
A new Aging Wheels video.
I think I'll put the world on hold for a few minutes.
Bob, it's a bit late, but you should have wired two circuits for the lights, with each circuit powering alternating banks of lights. This way, should something cause one of the banks of lights fail and blow the circuit, you won't be standing in total darkness.
A lot of professional installations will have the lights alternating in a checkerboard pattern, but just alternating rows is fine enough.
If you build a new presentation station somewhere near that former pit area, you could look into some video-grade spotlights so you don't have to rely on just the shop lights anymore if you want to do stand-ups. Add one of the kiosks and you almost have a fully blown newscasting set.
So nobody gets to win the pool of when you will be severely hurt falling into the pit? Damn. Well congrats on the new floor space! You will have so much room for activities!
3:03 - 3:08 lol also i was going to make fun of the fact that yes, you do need a haircut. Then I realized that this feeling I have must only come from a place of jealousy as I am balding man...(sigh) love the video keep it up!
I had the same feeling but my baldness is caused by being in the army
It’s been said before, but I’ll say it again here: Get a blackboard for your presentation station! :)
Your enthusiasm is infectious! I love your videos 💯😎✌
You are not alone. I too Get weak ankles and am shocked every time you upload a video.
I would highly recommend a UPS battery to plug those wireless devices in. It'll help regarding any surges and brown outs that might flake them out. And they'll stay on when you lose power, should that happen, for quite a while. Cheap insurance. FWIW.
Paint it like an ipod

Now you have decent lighting, wifi and all the rest of the stuff, you will never have to leave the shop! The tinkerers dream :-) Is there a bed in there? Maybe soon. haha Cheers.

I can’t express how much I love you and your content. It’s truly a treat anytime you upload a video. Charismatic, funny and well spoken I just want you to have a billion subscribers and all the sponsors so you could keep up your projects.
I’ve been watching your videos since the Porsche one you had. The quality of that video was awesome and it’s only gone up. You’re making my dream shop and it’s cool to see all your projects.
I hope the pit project will include a "well" - like they have at a Speedy Lube place. That is a serious luxury for ease and speed when doing under-chassis stuff. Best luck and sorry about the ankle - been there, done that :(
I really enjoyed this episode of Aging Wiring.
Did anybody else look at those screens and think, "Wow, giant iPods!"
Cool kiosks and the lighting really looks a lot better!
Have you thought about doing a raised concrete floor in the pit it would give you extra storage space like a mini basement
I'm sorry you were injured but the shop looks nice with the new lights.
Fill that pit!
How’s the ankle?
Inter webs in the shop = double the time to complete projects....and more posts about said projects.

Please put some Trabant artwork on the wall by the presentation station.

Yay! I'm so excited for you!
It's funny you doing a vpn advertisement on a windows 7, which doesn't get security updates no more.
the new lights help the glare off the death row presentasion station though ... that's good, btw you ever use that tiny monitor I sent you, its ok if you don't it sat in my garage unused forever too lol
This guy is living the dream
Well if you couldn't already, you can officially say you put your blood sweat and tears into the shop lol. Grea video!
I sooooo want one of those screens. Nice score!
I like the stop-motion animation style
Looks good it makes it easier for you to do your shows
11:00 That vinyl wrap looks like a YMCA Kiosk
Usually the problem with dead led lights is the driver. So if you have any use for those dead ones you could probably find a new driver for it. Maybe even cheaper than replacing the entire light.
Hurray! You're Filling in THE PIT!
Illuminating video!
The state of your shop is apparent.
Don't let that pit leave you with a depression.
Those touch-screens are important to you. Can you feel it too?
Power cords from the ceiling? If I had a silly imagination, I would think your entire shop was a video game. Dark pit area, lift, dangling wires to get zapped on, greasy patches to slip on, level up screens, odd background implements, disco ball, black lights, strange smelling smoke...
Anyway, nice lights! I'll see you in the next one! :D
I like when HoboRobert does dangerous things. Also, you should still fill the pit with snakes.
I veel bad for laughing when you fell but the way you started singing in the pain made me laugh
I mean... since your are replacing stuff already, just replace your ankle with a bionic ankle. It's a win win.
that Wi-Fi equipment it's beyond awesome, I have one other switches and access point. Use that kiosk monitor to lookup stuff i.e. manuals or whatever while you are working on projects? Nice upgrades and update thanks for the video
I’m happy for you that the pit is finally getting filled, it will make the shop heat better and you might actually be able to fit the bus in there
You should use one of those kiosks to control like a CNC or a cad station or something
The Ubiquiti stuff is fantastic. I got sick of fighting with consumer routers at home and at my business and just replaced everything with Ubiquiti gear. It's pricey on the front end but everything Just Works.
Have you considered a blackboard as your presentation station?
I doubt itd be reflective at all
I would say do a time capsule but that would entail tearing up the concrete at one point in time.
You might want to install a drain or whatever else before filling it up with cement.
you were mistaken
cheap led lights flicker 120 times per secund, ,fluorescent tubes would flicker 60 times per secund and that is down to one difference FULL BRIDGE RECTIFIER!
it was fun watching a car machanic doing electrical work :P i hope the line cord in the first one can support this many of them in paralell
Those kiosks need an iPod click wheel painted (or giant sticker'd) onto them
>AAUGH I'M BLEEDING
>THERE'S BLOOD ON THESE LIGHTS
An offering to the Machine Spirits.
OperatorIHC he pleased the machine spirit within the lights and assured that the lights will work forever more
In the "unused/pit" area of your shop, you should build some rails so you can drive a car into the pit area and use it like an oil changing "pit" like at an oil changing place. It would also be useful for doing transmission jobs. You could put a rolling stool there as well and it would be a good height.
You could get a microcell/femtocell/ whatever your cell provider calls it to have cell service in your shop through your internet connection if you wanted. They seem to work pretty well from my experience.
The flickering of the cheap LED Lights should be 120 Hz. Because normally both half waves of the power line are used!
Can't wait to see the new shop pool
So awesome the pit will be filled 😁
HEY.... NO more sickness? lights? SCREEN'S?? this CAN'T be ageing wheels! things really got going again... WHOO-HOO!!
Now u can say blood sweat and tears lol, keep up the killer work man. From one clumsy guy to another lol
Maybe you should make a removable
floor for the pit, since you have a bus,
you could use the pit as a well and
avoid the hassel of trying to find a
lift large enough to raise that bus.
Or not.
When you need the well, just roll the
removable floor out and drive the
bus over your well. A normal automotive
well is much deeper than your pit, though.
Thanks for the content.
Keep up the good work.
