- Each region of Russia has its own traditions and culture, so let’s see what activities there are in Ufa city, in the region of Bashkortostan, during Christmas and New Year time.
We will also visit Bashkir-Tatar holiday Sabantuy which dates back to pagan times and originally it was a ritual that asked the gods for a plentiful harvest. Today, however, the festival became a celebration of Tatar and Bashkir culture and traditions. Furthermore, we will go to Walrus competitons... what is it? Just watch till the end of the video ;)

I have always thought though that those outside russia are always talking about how sad it must be to live there in the political climate (that has been around for a very long time). But I have always thought that what many dont understand is that to them, that is their way of life. I have met russians who left a different times. One left in the 70s when russian borders opened and another left in the 90s after the USSR collapsed. That they still have not recovered from. Yet what both of them tell me is that when you live there, thats what you know. I even worked with a woman who moved to my country with her family from russia when her son was 5 (her youngest). They still own a house to this day in russia. They own a home in my country too. What she tells me is that locals outside russia in my country, dont always know the problems of their country to. Her new way of life is my way of life but she can see certain flaws and even areas where I agree with her that my country isn't all that great for the same reasons she thinks. It really is no different from anyone else. We know where we live and thats our way of life. You dont really know any different from what you're comfortable with and how you grew up. To really know different is traveling and moving to other places. What I do like about her videos though is that you see it. It puts the thought to a visual. Seeing how they are living there and what is their normal.

Yes, it is one of the greatest and most honorable people in the world. They won World War II by decimating 90% of the German war machine. They occupied Berlin and all of Eastern Germany. The Russians lost an entire generation of young men - over two million soldiers were killed, and many others were wounded, taken as prisoners of war (many were never seen or heard from again), and millions of civilians were raped, killed, and/or sent to labor or extermination camps. The Russians sacrificed more than any other country in that war. In fact, more Russian lives were sacrificed than all the other warring countries combined (excluding Germany).
I love Russia and the Russian people. Anyone who tries to fear monger against Russia is foolish and ignorant. The fact that Russia has a record as being undefeated in war should really get the (very foolish) United States and the ridiculous NATO hordes to back off, but the stupidity, narcissism, and greed of the Western leaders should never be underestimated. They want to start a war with Putin and Russia, but they have no idea how prepared Russia is to decimate every last western "man". The men from the United States, UK, Canada, France or Germany are all feminized soy boys in comparison to the courageous and masculine Russian MEN. Real men. Not ones who parade in rainbow colors half naked like clowns or the deluded trans people. God bless Russia 🇷🇺 🙏

Hello, I'm from Ufa, Bashkortostan, Russia, it's not always cold here. In summer, the temperature rises from +20 to +35 degrees) we have a big city, you were shown only a small part. And traditional celebrations, so we have a lot of clubs, restaurants, sleeping areas and park areas, and far from the city there are Ural mountains and taiga forests, there are ski resorts, fishing and hunting grounds, bases for summer recreation on reservoirs. What fun you have given us! Here in USA we celebrate Christmas much too early, stressing everyone out. This year, my husband and I just relaxed having another Christmas on the weekend of the 7th. Then I found out, according to the Julian Calendar that is the day. I love the beautiful decorations, clothing, food and horse drawn carriages of the Tartar culture. I can see how swimming and gaming in the freezing white snow can be very healing. The song you played written and sung by your sister/cousin? is beautiful! Culture and traditions , sounds Heavenly. Here in the Netherlands each year are big problems with traditions , so the most are gone! So unbelievable sad ! Netherlands isn’t a free and nice country anymore.

I am loving these videos. I am getting very used to hearing Russian too. My nephew’s girlfriend (hopefully fiancé soon) is from St. Petersburg and we are enjoying eating lots of new Russian dishes. America has nothing much to lose here compared to Russia, they can initiate the Peace move and it wouldn't look like a defeat to Russia and also to Ukraine; but no, they want Russia defeated and EU is backing them. Well, keep trying.
The Russians and Ukrainians are closer to themselves than you and I, what this conflict just did was to sown a seed of hatred and it's a pitiful sight... Two Slavic people, Two brothers fighting and the West is fueling the fire.
I pray for Peace to the Russian and Ukrainian people. Please try as much as possible to resolve this, is humans that are dieing not rats.

Russian people are a treasure, and i would not say the same thing of people who lost their culture in other continents usually not by their own fault but from how these society are ruled by an oligarchy. She is really tough, when she climbed the highest mountain in Russia, some people in the group gave up and climbed back down, not her. She also partook in a military training sleeping in the forest without tent, not in the summer. She is tougher mentally and physically than most men, i think.

I also hesitated to post a comment about how very attractive some women are in the video out of respect and consideration for them. It's not an easy life to be beautiful, people force you to be conscious about it, especially new people, it forces you to center your life around it which can be a trap. We see how that destroyed many actresses and singers and still does. Physical beauty does not last an entire lifetime. In a young woman, if she is very beautiful, i worry for her that she does not develop her personality sufficiently around other things than her beauty while she is young, as most people will take her for granted and be too easy on her while she is young, but someday that beauty will betray her and she will have to rely on a good personality too. Fortunately i think these Russian ladies are in a very healthy family environment and a country with good moral values. There are some horrible people in the West in the industry you listed such as Hollywood that prey on beautiful young women using their beauty as a way to manipulate them knowing the weakness that comes with it. It's no secret that the media industry is full of people like Bernstein. I think young beautiful women should be lectured about this danger and this kind of predators in those industries such as modelling, entertainment and acting.

I make the point about never forgetting what lasts, like culture, and family and musical talent are what lasts!
