  • After the closure of Rowley Park Speedway on Torrens Road, Adelaide's Speedway Park was opened in 1979 and was once for a long period of time the jewel in the crown when it came to Australian Speedway venues, located just 26 kms from Adeleaide's CBD.
As Speedway Park the venue opperated from 1979 - 1996. In 1997 Bob Sincock and Wendy Turner took on the role of owner promoter and gave the venue a tremendous run until 2016. In 2017 the venue was leased to the Miller family and ran for two seasons as Adelaide Motorsport Park (2017-2019) before the venue went into long term hiatus.
In 2020 Charlie from KCM Metals purchased the property. Since the new ownership several attempts have been made to lease the venue however none have been successful in getting off the ground.
Over the time the venue has been used for Speedway (car and bike), Burnouts, Side by Side racing, Dirt Karts, Stadium Off Road and other social / community events.
In December 2023 I made a trip to the venue to film the current condition of the stadium. This is the second of a series of short videos that I will upload to You Tube. Also an official documentary will be released further down the line. If you have anything you may like to contribute to the upcoming documentary then I would love to hear from you.
    God Bless,
    Paris Charles.

The minute Wendy Turner left it went downhill, not even premier pull the crowds this track did on Boxing Day. Huge loss to SA and the sport

Can you show me proof of your statement?
I would love to know how she is the blame?
Wendy and Bob carried Speedway in Adelaide on their backs for almost a quarter of a century. At 70 years of age they both deserved to retire.

Yes it's called sprint car cattle ticks and all their associates I raced bikes and sidecars the crowd wanted to see all classes in the sport of speedway racing but now you have invaded Murray Bridge and have a look at the crowd numbers you have and plus you screwed all the bike people!
