I had a super quiet cul-de-sac for 20 years. Just recently I had many new people moving in the cul-de-sac with loud kids. Still people stayed clear of me because of my PTSD, and I did not appreciate those families with children whatsoever.
One day I came up to a group of kids in the middle of the street seething, i was mad, but when i looked down the children were drawing pictures of cute things with chaulk on the street, I got down on my knees and drew pictures with them for a couple hours. Best therapy ever. Now Im the most known and favorite man on the block. Love, dont hate.
And those new families watch my house and vehicle for theft etc, and sometimes I get a free pie.

My across the street neighbors had a young adult son who was always freakishly annoying with shockingly loud noises, often for hours on end... riding non-street legal ATVs just back and forth for hours that are modified to be loud, because he's scared if he goes for a real ride, the cops will see. Bumping music at 3am, so much nonsense. But you know what? If you stew over it, you suffer. If you just take it as what it is and don't get mad, you get by just fine. Who wants to be beefing with their neighbors? You got to live right next to them!

You don’t get to dictate all that stop because you paid to be in that space, and because of that everyone (who also paid for that space) must conform to your comfort.
