- Marble accents, blonde wood and bespoke details stun in this elegant townhome. Mariam Aboutaam of Kylemore designed the space with wellness design and luxury in mind. In the kitchen, a Calacatta marble backsplash and waterfall island draw the eye, while white oak cabinets and jewel-like brass hardware add warmth. Step into the living room with a 10-ft. high waffle ceiling, custom built-ins and oversize windows that wash the room in natural light. A home office with a moody forest green media unit and striking canvas art brings the drama. Finally, the powder room is a hidden gem with whimsical wallpaper and a faux-marble vanity wall.

This is a stunning home, brilliantly executed for the intended occupants! There are always critics, and that's ok bc homes are ment to be personal and unique. Clearly the average person has no idea how much attention to detail, effort and brilliance have gone into creating this beauty, yet making it appear so 'effortless' and inviting!!! Amazing job! The sofa is very close to the tv and yet the tv is hung so high up. Don't think it is good for the neck.
Agreed, that is way to close especially when its placed that high. Beautiful design and details, but sometimes that beauty takes precident over practicality.
You made a valid point.
The two sofas could have been placed facing each other with coffee table in between, perpendicular to both the TV wall and the fireplace. Thereby being able to enjoy both at same time & good conversation area. TV needs to be lower. The millwork under the TV is empty space. The desk units could each have shelves above for more useful use of space. The desks have no storage and are not as useful with no storage. Love the other areas. But, the 2 sofa room needs a rethink to be a useful living space.
Pod drawer should be made to hold them upside down so you know what you’re grabbing

Jewels all the way. Green, oak, forest green, nothing less than sophisticated. And as an artist myself, I love the wallpaper in the toilet.
This house feels high maintenance, like it deserves to be kept super clean 24*7 . Not for people with messy kids and dogs .

Such a STUNNING home. Love it. It’s warm yet modern. I adore the black touches throughout. I wouldn’t use any paper lighting near the kitchen though. Anything within a twelve foot radius from the stove WILL get grease residue on it from cooking. It’s completely inevitable even when using a fan. Always use cleanable, scrub-able, light fixtures in and near the kitchen. The light in my breakfast nook, very far from my stove gets oily. So I know that paper shade will quickly be yucky. It’s is a beautiful light though!

Looks beautiful but I don't understand where is the "wellness" of the design.
what "wellness" design ---there isn't any! needs to use another word because "wellness" is not in any way part of this design ===although very elegant. "Wellness" undersells what this is!
Marketing, pure and simple. The word “pomposity “ keeps coming to mind.
The wellness might be the minimalist approach to design?
The home looks like a spa. Clean lines, bright and decluttered. I could be wrong, but I think that is the idea.

I recently did my home over the Covid down time. I love this home, the designer is beautiful herself! And you can see she has brought a lot of warmth and heart. What is interesting as I've looked at many home videos, is not all, but a great many are going with a great deal of white on white....with maybe just a touch of black as is done here or very minimal use of some other accent color(s). It's lovely, but they kind of a little bit are all starting to look trendy the same.....very pretty, but the same one home to another......good work though!!
It's looking all the same and boring. Too much granite which makes it feel like a hotel, takes away the warmth. I do like the clean lines and wood color but it's too high luxury looking and so makes it not nice for a home. Sort of like the office suits you wear in the old days that you have to throw out.

Except it’s a mirror. Like, an actual legit mirror. These days the TV can be a lot of things, even reflective, but usually not a mirror. She mentions it in the description ~ 7 minutes.
I actually prefer a high tv because it makes my neck feel good after a long day of watching my computer.

What a beautiful home but I don’t quite get the back to back of two sofas in living room.
A nice idea from much larger rooms. It might work for television viewing but on the other side you can only stare at the fireplace and side beside someone. Not conducive to chatting: the point of must sitting spaces.
