So Sweet, and I also noticed that these prosperous and famous women these days are the Complete Package, they all Cook for their Children, like Jessica Alba, Gwyneth Paltrow, Meghan Markle, Singer Pink, etc....Most of these women are famous, but they are hands-On with their families, they don't leave the Care of their Children and husbands to a third party, and I think that's Cool.
Oh my gosh this home is a dream. I’m so inspired by it. She truly has an amazing eye and even though it was more of a team effort, she definitely knew who to work with. Not every upscale designer can do what has been done here. This was a soul treat, thank you AD!

I wish we got to see some of the bedrooms as well. This house is exquisite, the decor is seductive yet approachable and it does feel like a forever home. And yes, props to GP for giving such props to the team that worked with and for her to achieve this - she's always been classy like that.
I am in love with this home. It has a perfect mix of old world and modern in such an easy, relaxing way. Nothing is jarring and in your face. Everything just blends like it was meant to be there. I am dying to know how much a spa like that costs. Whatever it was, it's money well-spent as I too would use that everyday. It's absolutely gorgeous. If I had the money I would copy everything; but until then I will just have to be inspired. Well done.
I love that she thoughtfully integrated and repurposed old elements like the Portugese tiles and the fireplace in the entry way. They are very wabi sabi in a sense that old products are still appreciated today, in an apparent modern setting but also timeless at the same time.
Does one really need multiple fireplaces in California? That shower/bathroom looks like a private mens club…it’s absolutely gorgeous. Can’t wait for my February issue of AD to arrive.
I feel like her parents did a really good job keeping her grounded. Obviously she grew up privileged and wealthy and she's been super successful in her own right, but she always comes across in a real down-to-earth way. I believe her when she says she cooks for her kids.
@K V Wow seriously? She is a highly acclaimed actor! She has won an Oscar, a Golden Globe, an Emmy and 2 SAG Awards! And twice as many nominations, even a Grammy. It doesn't get much more successful than that in entertainment. She also has a very successful wellness/lifestyle business called GOOP. And in my opinion, she's truly a decent, humble human being.
I love how much she says she loves things. You can tell she appreciates everything that went into making her home. She really seems grateful. It’s refreshing.

Unlike many offspring born into wealth and opportunity she has always expressed an honest awe about her loving family and her exceptional good luck. Yes, I agree with you. I love that she even talks about initially disliking certain design pieces, but coming to a place of agreement with them. I have seen many designers come to design for a home and I hate their style and how I feel they misrepresented their clients wishes. I love how this is a design collaboration. She respects and appreciates their talent, but she doesn't lose herself in the mix. She even gets some of her ideas from pinterest like many of us do. The designers just enhance what she already has dreamed of. If I was ever fortunate enough to work with designers, I would be looking for someone who worked with me in the process. I would want to be included in the process and based on my own creative designs. I would certainly, like Gwyneth, appreciate what their talents brought to the table. However, I would never want someone taking over like I sometimes see on tv.

This home is absolutely beautiful. I love the different textures and themes that all work together. I also love that she uses different flooring for each room, for the reason she mentioned. The spa does look like heaven on earth! I wish we could have seen the entire house but, of course, I respect her obvious preference for privacy. I also love what Gwyneth is wearing in this tour - elegant and chic, just like the house.

This is my dream home. The kitchen, the spa and the outside expansiveness (as seen through the kitchen window) were everything. I wish she'd shown the bedrooms. I love that she and her best friend worked together on the furnishings. That must have been so much fun.

I love her kitchen and the way it opens to the rest of the house. That's such a good idea to have the stove in the middle, so you aren't facing the wall. Absolutely adore the fuzzy couch and giant swing too! I can't imagine having a spa in your own home; I'd be in there daily!

@@anitarodriguez-rudell2211 obviously plumbing and appliances but, you can make your kitchen look drastically with just a a new coat of paint, peel and stick flouring or backsplash, new shades in windows(tons of diy videos on how to save money on curtains). Also if you need a new fridge for instance, sometimes you can get the floor model for WAY less. Just ask around in different if its an option. Sears was great for this before they want under. I would try other big department stored like jc Penney.
Its just stunning and well thought out. I appreciated the tile in the kitchen, the ladder and the stove facing the people you want to converse with while cooking. But the insane crazy awesome was the wellness spa room thing. OMG.

I don't know much about her as a person. Although, I'm sure you can find specific examples of personal beefs and gaffs surrounding her. The thing that bothers me about her is that she sell and promotes some things that have no benefit, even some that are proven detrimental to the health of women. She has made a brand out of it and has profited greatly from that. At least her cooch smells good from squatting on all that potpourri, right?
This is my most favorite house I’ve ever seen in my 53 years! My house is actually probably larger than this home (or at least the rooms I saw are smaller) but I would definitely give it up! Lol. I wouldn’t even HAVE to have the spa room. But the kitchen, the dining, the entry…. My goodness ! #goals. My house is similar to a chalet but in the woods. I wonder if I could do that kitchen…… (I would have a MUCH smaller budget!!) but it’s worth thinking about!!!!!

This was more than what I expected from Gwyneth. I know she's all about her wellness brand, but it quite fitting to see she walks the talk. Her home is as unique as herself without someone else's take & design concept incorporated into the home.
Yes, I agree with you. I love that she even talks about initially disliking certain design pieces, but coming to a place of agreement with them. I have seen many designers come to design for a home and I hate their style and how I feel they misrepresented their clients wishes. I love how this is a design collaboration. She respects and appreciates their talent, but she doesn't lose herself in the mix. She even gets some of her ideas from pinterest like many of us do. The designers just enhance what she already has dreamed of.
If I was ever fortunate enough to work with designers, I would be looking for someone who worked with me in the process. I would want to be included in the process and based on my own creative designs. I would certainly, like Gwyneth, appreciate what their talents brought to the table. However, I would never want someone taking over like I sometimes see on tv.

This home is absolutely beautiful. I love the different textures and themes that all work together. I also love that she uses different flooring for each room, for the reason she mentioned. The spa does look like heaven on earth! I wish we could have seen the entire house but, of course, I respect her obvious preference for privacy. I also love what Gwyneth is wearing in this tour - elegant and chic, just like the house.
Love seeing separation between the rooms; it really helps a large house feel more like a home. I feel like open concept really only works for small homes.

This is my dream home. The kitchen, the spa and the outside expansiveness (as seen through the kitchen window) were everything. I wish she'd shown the bedrooms. I love that she and her best friend worked together on the furnishings. That must have been so much fun.

You can tell how she values the people around her. She really seems like a very down to earth and kind person. Her affluence is evident but not loud. I don't agree with how the media is playing her personality as cold snob and aloof. She cooks a lot she loves to entertain friends and family and that's more important than the glitz and glamour of show business. It's obvious how she values everyone around her.

@@anitarodriguez-rudell2211 obviously plumbing and appliances but, you can make your kitchen look drastically with just a a new coat of paint, peel and stick flouring or backsplash, new shades in windows(tons of diy videos on how to save money on curtains). Also if you need a new fridge for instance, sometimes you can get the floor model for WAY less. Just ask around in different if its an option. Sears was great for this before they want under. I would try other big department stored like jc Penney.

I don't know much about her as a person. Although, I'm sure you can find specific examples of personal beefs and gaffs surrounding her. The thing that bothers me about her is that she sell and promotes some things that have no benefit, even some that are proven detrimental to the health of women. She has made a brand out of it and has profited greatly from that. At least her cooch smells good from squatting on all that potpourri, right?

This is my most favorite house I’ve ever seen in my 53 years! My house is actually probably larger than this home (or at least the rooms I saw are smaller) but I would definitely give it up! Lol. I wouldn’t even HAVE to have the spa room. But the kitchen, the dining, the entry…. My goodness ! #goals. My house is similar to a chalet but in the woods. I wonder if I could do that kitchen…… (I would have a MUCH smaller budget!!) but it’s worth thinking about!!!!!

This is such a gorgeous home and I love how enamored she is with all the pieces and how much she loves the designers she worked with. Her appreciation for all the different pieces and elements of the home was really special. She was a warm and inviting host. Stunning home!
As GP won that ridiculous case yesterday, u want to say that her staying to the end and saying "i wish u well" to Lyin Terry was very compassionate and helpful. Now, i wish her well. She is a great actress and seems like a nice person.
