Of all the houses I've looked at, I wouldn't have expected the rock star's actress daughter to have the most elegant, yet accessible one. She doesn't take herself or her space too seriously and it's GREAT. I love that: 1. She un-apologetically has toys in her living room. 2. Her dog's portrait is in a "very special place", right next to the naked Marilyn Monroe calendar. CLASSIC! 3. She had the forethought to save memorabilia from her own projects. Most people don't think to get a Barbie of themselves. 3. Steven Tyler's daughter has a lip phone- the most appropriate thing in that house!!!
Liv Tyler reminds me of that kid who always wants to eagerly show you their things and their space, and is so excited about sharing their world with you. I love it!!!!
One of my favourite AD tours. What a great, calm and family oriented woman. Her love for her home resounds in this video, especially her love for the magnolia tree. My favourite elf as well :)
This was amazing to see how Liv Tyler bought this brownstone in her early 20's and how she had a hand in all of the renovations and decorating ideas. The pocket doors and the pink hues give their home really warm features. Truly classic and chic.
You don't know that or her for a fact. She could be a completely different person when the cameras are rolling. A lot of "celebrities" have multiple personalities to cope with different aspects of life @ different times.
When you hear someone say they bought their NYC brownstone aged 24, you're ready with the hate... but she is so charming and warm and it is so obviously (in all the ways that count) a normal family home, I was won over. Also, I would pay good money to listen to her reading out the telephone directory.
73BigMC If it was anyone else flaunting their home - pointing out beautiful artifacts, pondering buying prime real estate at an age when most of us are either still dealing with a smelly roommate or newly married living in a - bedroom 600sq ft blah apt. But Liv is ethereal. In voice and manner. Not once did I feel like she was showing off. She’s created an environment that makes her happy...with much consideration to her little ones. She appears to almost be floating as she gives us the tour - and peppers the conversation with little personal tidbits. Lest we forget. Liv was born to the manner so to speak. Rock Star dad ( 2 if you want to be complicated ) Pretty much overnight success in her own right as an actress. No scandalous history. No multiple rehabs. She seems very well adept at balancing a private secluded life with family and a glamorous, holly woody side. She seems like a genuinely grateful and sweet person. Peace ✌🏼
Lisa Murphy Yeah I know what you mean. It doesn't come off elitist like it does with many other celebrities. Like Drew Barrymore - also entertainment royalty - she just seems like a good egg who, if they could wave a magic wand, would give everyone the same security and peace she has. Sadly a lot of stars who talk a good woke game, would protect their privilege at any cost. I use Drew Barrymore as an example not only because of the similarities in Tyler's heritage or temperament, but because I always remember her saying affordable options in her own makeup line were important to her. It's nice when the stars we admire can stay in touch with the real world that way.
5:28 “This was like out of a horror movie...It was very scary,” she says with an air of relief from a past nightmare, standing in what looks like the set for The Shining.

I've learned so much about how trees communicate with each other in forests and that they actually give signals to each other warning of disease or pests. It's SO fascinating.
@@NicolesNaturals Oh wow!! I absolutely will look that up. It's kindred spirits like you that make me feel the world might not be as bad as we think it is. :)
@@SmittenKitten. Aww, I appreciate that
I love how she speaks so fondly of her house, her children, the tiniest details, her memories and especially her late doggie. Very touching and personal video :)
Yeah it’s sad she sold it :(
you notice the naked woman on the wall when she was showing the pic of the dog? ahah
Why do u have to turn this into negative?
@@hiZarki That "naked woman on the wall" is a reproduction of the famous Marilyn Monroe calendar
@@hiZarki that’s Marilyn Monroe, that nude pic was a huge scandal in the 50s
This house is so gorgeous. I adore the way she Incorporated the old with the new. The palette of colors she chose are gorgeous. She's a very genuine down to earth woman and I think you can tell this by the way that she speaks and her sense of humor. I love that pink couch and the two blue velvet chairs. I'd let her design an apartment for me any day. She's someone I've always admired. Probably since I was 8 or 9 years old. She seems very welcoming and I could probably listen to her soothing voice for hours. Love Liv.
Her voice is so beautiful... always loved her talking elvish in LOTR.
Her voice is so calming, I can't find a good word for it but I could listen to her speak elvish for hours
she's a natural at asmr
I love that she has so much LOTR stuff left and is still so proud of it. :)
3 movies I remember her from, Stealing Beauty, Lord of the Rings and Empire Records.
Of course she’s proud of it. It’s LoTR for christ’s sake.
mate Lotr is one of the best movies ever made so yehh
Her home is tasteful and chic yet seems very homey and lived-in. Love it.
She has such a soft peaceful sounding voice! The magnolia tree reminds me of LOTR, it's so fitting for her. I love the little things she collects and the fun tiling in the different rooms!
Red She Hulk Teaser
Finally, an actual home instead of some gawdy overpriced vanity project. Liv seems like a sweet person.
Yeah this is about 100 times better than the other gawdy NY apartments that ave been on this channel. This place feels like a lived in home that is comfortable and relaxing.
lyv tyler no have husband kids?why have toys collection 42 years old woman why need baby kids toys?
And a human amount of shoes
@ irakli, She said she has 4 children, the youngest are 3 & 4 years old.
Lol very true 💙👍
She is so elegant, classy, soft-spoken, and just…. exquisite. The woman is exquisite. I just love her beautiful and tender spirit so much. I always have. What a magical home.
If only she hadn't use botox. This make people look ugly and dull. Even a tiny amount I can spot right away.
I have seen women with a lot of Botox and I think she is still very beautiful. She doesn't use a lot at all I don't think at least.
@@ashleydimartino2265 You say that because you are most probably willing to use it yet it makes you blind. It is ugly because it looks fake and detroys the pure nature of the face. Plus it shows right away the lack of acceptance. Just don't use botox, not even a tiny bit, don't go that nasty rabbit hole.
@@Bruno-qy6mi well it's her decision
WOW! The first celebrity house I actually like! I love that she likes color and I never knew she was such an old soul. Beautiful!
Divine home, and it really doesn't surprise me that she lives in this warm, beautiful space. She is a dream ❤️
*Liv is such a Beautiful Soul. 💗*
*She makes my heart smile. 😍*
Definitely! And growing up with a father that is a (my edit: awesome, crazy, iconic whether you like or not, his mark is on the world) LEGEND, she stayed humble & paved her own path while love, appreciation & loyalty existed....humility stayed true to herself & all around her.
I though that as soon as she welcomed us in, you can just tell she has a huge heart and is so chill. We should all be a bit more like Liv.
I've never heard anyone else say "Makes my heart smile." My mom and I say that all the time and people give us weird looks. That's very sweet... and I think really captures how someone or something has made you feel. Liv and this vid definitely made my heart smile too. :D
Agree, I didn’t realise but I was actually smiling the whole time.
agree 100%
The SWORD, oh my god. I felt like crying. I love Liv so much. Her house is as beautiful as her personality.
Same!
Same thank God I wasn't the only one😭
@B. Greene In a home with 4 children this is not a good idea :)
One of the better homes. Modern but doesn’t lack coziness.
You call that modern??
TigerMonthlyHits Bruh, you need to watch the video again.
TigerMonthlyHits - modern??!
She said 'historic renovation'
checkout that vid on Alba's home...wonderful
Liv seems very gracious and down to earth. Beautiful home and great tour.
This is literally my dream house! So elegant but at the same time cozy and humble! I love the magnolia tree!!
Adda Priest $10m West Village humble.
this is the first celebrity in AD showing her attic barefoot with all the boxes and clutter with beautiful memories. she's reaaall!
But did you see the duplicate copies of LotR Monopoly stacked on top each other? And how much pristine condition collectors items she has?! :O
@@ChibiDarksai yes i saw!! those would be beautiful if being displayed. i guess she's just waiting for the right display cabinet & time to do it
She speaks like actressses from the fifties. Like Jane Fonda, Marilyn Monroe interviews.
yes, i love her voice. It’s always beautiful and rich women that have calm voices.😊

I am obsessed with her house, it's the only celebrity house that when I look at it and I can see myself actually live in it, it's so homey.
Also, Liv Tyler voice is so soft. She should do an audio books.
She's not only beautiful but also has impeccable taste in decorating her home. It screams comfort and homey not just Instagramy !
Wow, I've felt transported out of this world for 10 minutes there, absolutely hypnotising human being with a beautiful soul and home ❤️
Elena Polearus, well said! I completely agree! I didn’t want to “leave” her house.
I wanted to keep looking at all her photographs on the wall and check out more of her attic! Really beautiful woman with a kind soul.
It's so nice to see a house a celebrity has lived in for decades. A true home
She has the most serene and personable energy, I was completely enraptured!
Of all the houses I've looked at, I wouldn't have expected the rock star's actress daughter to have the most elegant, yet accessible one. She doesn't take herself or her space too seriously and it's GREAT.
I love that:
3. Steven Tyler's daughter has a lip phone- the most appropriate thing in that house!!!
thank Todd Rundgren
shes also her own self who built her own stuff and style. She's clearly not like her faher necessarily
I think I'm 3 years older than Liv and we had one of those lip phones!
@@seekanddestroy7343 I'm 4 years older than her and I had a phone in the shape of a red stiletto shoe. I should have kept it.
excuse me??? rock ppl have taste, that's WHY they listen to rock DUH! and live a genre doesn't really tell about the person whole personality smh
Liv Tyler reminds me of that kid who always wants to eagerly show you their things and their space, and is so excited about sharing their world with you. I love it!!!!
I‘m reminded of an eight grader faking a smoky voice tbh
She’s actually barefoot in her own home and backyard.
Now that’s how you know she’s actually living in there.
No, I don´t walk barefoot in my house everytime, but still live there.
And she has a LANDLINE, that's solid evidence.
Or maybe Tarantino filmed this episode
Is wearing shoes in your house common in the states?
Her children's growth chart on the doorframe was the biggest proof imo
One of my favourite AD tours. What a great, calm and family oriented woman. Her love for her home resounds in this video, especially her love for the magnolia tree. My favourite elf as well :)
You house IS a home. Enjoy your nest and family, well earned.
Awww...she seems so gracious and humble! I love her soft voice and she's really made the house a HOME. 😍😍😍
She seems like a calm and lovely person, old world charm.
Her father is too. He's got that dreamer all seeing way. His mind is awesome. She does remind me of him. Good people.
She seems like a genuinely happy person and happy to have the home she lives in. Good for her.
Oh my word - this is some FULL ON unintentional ASMR. Her voice is so soothing!!! 😳
And that is one very beautifulll kitty u have there i love my beautifulll black kittys 😍😍
This was amazing to see how Liv Tyler bought this brownstone in her early 20's and how she had a hand in all of the renovations and decorating ideas. The pocket doors and the pink hues give their home really warm features. Truly classic and chic.
Even the laundry room gives you a great vibe
I love that she’s a celebrity but still managed to live in the same house and just upgraded it over the years.
There is nothing that agresses the senses in that house. There is nothing aggressive about her. Just plain harmony and positive vibes
You don't know that or her for a fact. She could be a completely different person when the cameras are rolling. A lot of "celebrities" have multiple personalities to cope with different aspects of life @ different times.
@@humongousfungusamongus3871 or she could just be a genuinely nice person.
@@chrisjansen9912 - or not....
This might actually be the most perfect house ever. What an amazing accomplishment.
Peace ✌🏼
Lisa Murphy
Yeah I know what you mean.
"they kind of hit the wrong turn and keep growing"
Never knew branches could be my life's motto
Wow this is a dream home! I so appreciate that she went with a historical renovation and was so involved.
She has such a warm, pleasant and calming aura.
She is the best composition of Steven Tyler.
I concur🙏🏽
5:28 “This was like out of a horror movie...It was very scary,” she says with an air of relief from a past nightmare, standing in what looks like the set for The Shining.
It heavily reminds me of twin peaks

I was thinking the shining too!
Thank you Liv Tyler for opening your home to us. It is an amazing space!
I quote Liv Tyler almost every day. Any time I vocally ask “What’s this?” I immediately follow it up with “A ranger caught off his guard”
I had the pleasure of recording a voiceover with her one time years ago, and she was just an absolute pleasure. Nothing but friendly, and easy. Cheers, Liv.
THIS is a home I could feed my soul in. How beautiful, every room is stunning and that tree... just wow.
Imagine being able to afford that gorgeous house (and renovations!) in your early 20s wow
When your daddy is Steve Tyler you can
@@nadiaalbert4336 Liv was raised by her mother without Steve's help and started working at the age of 14. Also, the West Village was not the fancy place it is now, and the price per square foot when she was in her early 20s was less than half of what it is today. She's worked hard and invested well.
