I bumped into her in a grocery store in her neighborhood. She saw I recognized her and just smiled at me. She’s the real deal.

same happened to me, she saw I recognized her because I had a heart attack and I died.
Me, too. But I started babbling nonsense and got sprung. She was horrified - aghast at my throbbing, hulking tumescence. I was utterly humiliated, yet strangely proud.
she also smiled at me a long time ago in Paris :) A beautiful spring day in a beautiful garden and a beautifull kind smile. Nice memory.
I saw her on a sunset once. Asked her to give me a single strand of her hair,.. ;( ... She gave me three. (GOD how I wish this to be true). Wish her all best, and to keep that sword in fine condition, it will be good money for her family.
She basically bought this house that looked like crap then redid it top to bottom and made every room her favourite room. Goals.

Yes, I think that she made a ton of money on it too. But that's not really the point, it feels like she truly made the house her own.

This lady got herself a really nice house in her early 20s, decorated it extremely tastefully and 20 years later she still lives there. No excuses that she needed a bigger house because of the kids, etc.

She is so elegant, classy, soft-spoken, and just…. exquisite. The woman is exquisite. I just love her beautiful and tender spirit so much. I always have. What a magical home.
If only she hadn't use botox. This make people look ugly and dull. Even a tiny amount I can spot right away.
I have seen women with a lot of Botox and I think she is still very beautiful. She doesn't use a lot at all I don't think at least.

Her home is by far in my top 5 favorite. Its so calming and cozy - not overly cluttered & not scarce and minimalistic. I love the huge windows and greenery. Her participation in the work on the home is amazing.
What are your other favorites? Of all I've seen none of them come to Livs house.
My personal favorite is Dita Von Teese but this one is def second!!

This is the most soothing, almost therapeutic, celeb home video I've ever watched. Her personality and home are in perfect harmony and cast the same amazing vibes: warmth, elegance, peace, beauty... Just beauty all the way through.

Yes yes yes, I agree completely, and doesn't feel cluttered. There are so many focal points, but doesn't feel suffocating. Its like character with control, very beautiful.
The irony being that Liv and her family spend almost all of their time in their home in London, where the kids go to school. She hasn't lived full-time in this house since she divorced her first husband ten years ago. It's a beautiful home and it does look lived in... but it isn't.
I met Liv many years ago through a friend. I won't divulge all the details but she was very kind to me and helped with a mini crisis I was having in NYC.
She seems very sweet and kind.

Sherlock's cat how short are you? She’s just 2 inches taller than me which is tall but she doesn’t even cross 6ft. She’s literally the same height as Taylor Swift and shorter than Kendall Jenner
HOW is she "super rich"? Sure, she seems nice enough, yet how can she afford such a home? Did she marry a very wealthy man? Liv is not an A-List actress who is constantly working and she's not a high-paid super model working on ad campaigns. It's baffling where her wealth comes from, must be her rich rockstar father who helped her purchase that super expensive brownstone. Brownstones, even in Brooklyn, are super expensive. Almost every NYC neighborhood has been touched by gentrification. The area where Liv resides, the West Village, is one of NYC's most expensive neighborhoods.
She has such a soft peaceful sounding voice! The magnolia tree reminds me of LOTR, it's so fitting for her. I love the little things she collects and the fun tiling in the different rooms!

This house is so gorgeous. I adore the way she Incorporated the old with the new. The palette of colors she chose are gorgeous. She's a very genuine down to earth woman and I think you can tell this by the way that she speaks and her sense of humor. I love that pink couch and the two blue velvet chairs. I'd let her design an apartment for me any day. She's someone I've always admired. Probably since I was 8 or 9 years old. She seems very welcoming and I could probably listen to her soothing voice for hours. Love Liv.
I am obsessed with her house, it's the only celebrity house that when I look at it and I can see myself actually live in it, it's so homey.
Also, Liv Tyler voice is so soft. She should do an audio books.
I love how she described the branches on the magnolia tree: "they sort of hit a wrong turn and keep growing". What a nice way to look at our lives as people, too

Made me cry... A magnolia tree in full bloom is MAGNIFICENT and doesn't last very long. In a few days the magnolia on our side of the rental will be either half a tree or gone forever... The renter next door called our landlord to complain, the magnolia "hangs over her side and she has no more lawn". Though she has no problems mowing it and the 2 branches hanging over are really high (calls herself a nature lover) Forests are burning everywhere and this 20-30 year old tree is "bothersome"... :( Got no words for such stupidity.

Housekeepers. Even Liv Tyler has one or more, you can tell because everything looks fresh and unblemished. The paint job on the walls aren't aging or cracking, which happens naturally due to changing moisture and climate, throughout the winter and summers. They certainly use this house more than other celebrities use theirs, because you can see throughout the video, a doors not working, there are signs of kids "decorating" their parts of the house, and the house has clutter, things that people USE in the house. In other celebrity house tours, the house is empty. No books, no toys, no memorabilia, looks like it came straight out of a magazine. I know this, because those shelves and drawers you see in this video, I make stuff like that for rich people, and then i have to go to their house and install it. The housekeepers call people for maintenance as soon as they see even one small sign of wear and tear. That's why celebrity houses look so nice. Simply put, they have money to spare on such things :) Then when it comes time to sell, they can fetch a premium price.

@@Cb11Cb I think I saw this on TMZ years ago, but did you ever see that old clip of her when Milo was a toddler she's walking holding him and they are being absolutely mobbed and hounded by paparatzi and she doesn't say anything. She just keeps walking calmly while her son is screaming "stop" and "turn the lights off." (the camera's flash) The only thing Liv says is to her son and it's reminding him to say please. Milo then goes back to yelling what he was this time adding please onto it while Liv continues to carry him and calmly walk. That's class and awesome parenting.

I absolutely love her house. It’s stunning, stylish and chic, but also lived in, and comfortable.
She thinks of that magnolia tree as an entity with its own thoughts, feelings, and memories, and I absolutely love that.
That's how I feel about trees too. They all have souls to me. I talk to them when I'm in the forest. My kids think I'm crazy, but I am super-obsessed with large, old trees.
@@NicolesNaturals I can totally relate!! When my family and I lived in Louisiana a few years back, there were HUGE old trees literally everywhere. This was a big change from Texas, where everything was flat. I would go out into our back garden and just listen to the trees rustling. I cannot explain the kind of magic that sound stirred in me. I would always tell my young boys that the trees were talking to one another, and we were lucky enough to be privy to their conversations. My son is a little older now, and he is obsessed with giant redwood trees. The idea that the trees in the Redwood Forest are hundreds and hundreds of years old is an idea that really appeals to him!
@@SmittenKitten. I got chills reading your comment. The sound of the leaves rustling in the wind is literally my favorite sound. I have read books about trees and their inner workings and they actually DO talk to each other! It's so interesting, you should look into that. I've learned so much about how trees communicate with each other in forests and that they actually give signals to each other warning of disease or pests. It's SO fascinating.

This was such a nice surprise. Yes she has a very elegant, beautiful home with beautiful pieces in it. Yes she has money and of course it shows; but it looks like real people live there. It doesn’t look like a cold museum or an art gallery.

This has to be one of my favorite home tours EVER. Her small collections, the matching fur rug and chair, the pocket doors, the children’s toys, the velvet sofas, the beautiful magnolia & ivy, the pink stained glass, her closet, but most of all HER VOICE and LAUGHTER! This is a proper home for a family... where different oddities co-exists with old and new furnitures and the spirit of the original house is allowed to shine through. All taken care of with lots of love over a long period of time. Warms my heart to see a place like this.

Makes me wish I lived in a big city like new York where there’s tons of resources and unique shops for custom designed things. I have a Home Depot and a wal Mart for all my home furnishing needs and that’s about it. Oh and no money. Can’t forget that part 😭😭😭

Definitely! And growing up with a father that is a (my edit: awesome, crazy, iconic whether you like or not, his mark is on the world) LEGEND, she stayed humble & paved her own path while love, appreciation & loyalty existed....humility stayed true to herself & all around her.
I though that as soon as she welcomed us in, you can just tell she has a huge heart and is so chill. We should all be a bit more like Liv.
I've never heard anyone else say "Makes my heart smile." My mom and I say that all the time and people give us weird looks. That's very sweet... and I think really captures how someone or something has made you feel. Liv and this vid definitely made my heart smile too. :D
