I find this super helpful because I'm moving to Kearney (as soon as I find a home). I commute from GI right now, but I'm excited to eventually be in Kearney full-time and get a chance to explore more of the restaurants and stores and things I haven't seen.
I went to UNK in 2013. I miss the school, friends, people, hangouts, parties, Cunningham’s, the Pasta restaurant, bicycle rides, US pacific trains, railways, taverns, Shinner bock, Amber bock, Hastings, Walmart, Butter Berger, Geeros, apple pie breakfast eatery, snowy winter, hot and dry summer, my old but cozy house, driving lessons, drive to Denver, the Trail park, peanut and steak, the Celler, frozen custard and pulled pork bbq shop, laundromat, sushi restaurant, Hunan, the library, rabbits and squirrels, the radio broadcasts, dormitory mates, etc. good old days in my memory
I love videos like this. They are super helpful. I'm doing a trip to Denver here in a few weeks (from Indy haha) and my stopover on the way is in Kearney. Really needed this because I'll need a dinner and breakfast place. Thank you!
Our daughter went to college there. She really liked the town. She taught school for 1 year there. She went to California and married there. I have been past that archway a zillion times. We never stopped once. But just about a week ago, some truck driver filmed in there. I didn't know there was so much to see in there
I wish i was with you guys. I am glad to be back in Nebraska after six years in El Paso, TX, but I would rather live in Kearney now that i am 25. Kearney has always been the place i have been wanting to live in since i was a toddler.
We love both of those places! Alley Rose was where we ate on our first date, and we used to live a few blocks from Crafty Dog, so it was a regular spot for us. 😊
@@ma.rhonalapira3738 it’s ruined from what it once was. More expensive than ever…the “mom and pops” have been pushed out because of inadequate city leaders, nothing is done to address the disparity, and sure there is a “new high school” but the city needs half a dozen if not more elementary schools to make it walkable for children and lighten the class sizes. Kids should have the options to walk to a school. Things are upside down in Kearney- if you have money you can cope- outside of that, move to a small town. Kearney is overrated. Nebraska was a gem when I grew up- and some places there still are..but not Kearney unless your goal is to chase the dollar. City manager does that all too well.

For a couple months I worked at KGFW & my office window looked North at Yandas Music.

Interesting! We just moved from Kearney a few months ago, but we can see the appeal. Where in Nebraska are you currently, if we may ask?
@@qlctravels Lexington, NE. It doesn't have much like what kearney has.
