Alternative powered vehicles can surprise you. The motors used are extremely powerful. They have to be power reduced in most on road uses. The distance you can operate on one charge can work for many industries. Not so well in others.
California is now requiring 10% of all trucks sold by dealers in the state of California to be electric. This is truly affecting those dealers. Additionally it will have a dramatic affect on mid sized to large fleets who are also being held accountable.
The cost is much more than combustion engines.
It will be that by choice or by requirements for EPA that alternative fuels are heading our way. A significant change happened this year. 2027 is another evolution where many of the engines you see today will be dramatically changed or cease production.

Actually there are three different battery pack allowing up the the maximum shown in the video
With the current market place US there will be companies in California the will need the greatest difference.
This allows our client to get the right truck for the right job.
So I agree that there is a lot of battery, and I hope you can see where this gives the greatest allowable distance for this class 5 chassis!
