I just went and bought the ultra sheer stick today and I had been using the sheer stick before. It wasn’t giving me the results that I like and and ultra sheer was a lot better. Thanks for the tips!
Thank you for sharing mineral ones! I’m allergic to sunscreen so I have to use mineral ones. It’s a bad reaction too 💀 like I get a rash and break out in hives. So thank you for sharing mineral ones
Even Korean chemical sunscreens? Many people are allergic to the Americans filters but not the Korean ones.
@@Username0467 Yeah I’ve tried Korean sunscreens too, I got a bunch of rashes
Omg finally someone. I found out I'm allergic nd have been scared to try even the mineral ones. Now I can give mineral sunscreens a shot🤞🏻
@@kaveriamin734 I am able to use Alba sunscreen. Idk if it’ll work for you but it might be worth a shot
@@Tiger-gh2jz it seems like something that might suit my skin but it's expensive in my country
Thanks for these. I was looking for one that I could use during the day at work. I work at a school and don't really have time to go wash my hands and reapply sunscreen during the day. These sticks make it way easier to do.
I’ve always been a sunbum girl and I love most of their stuff but I never see anyone talk about them :(
Is their stick good over makeup?
Same here I love sunburn sunscreen sooo much
@@Mrpancake-lol124 I heard its good but I’m unsure how it is over makeup though.
I did nothing for my skin I’m talking about the mineral lotion ofc. It left it flaky and dry under makeup
The Ultra Sheer absolutely does leave a white cast, if you're using enough.
Sun sticks for your hair!? that's Amazing
Actually it’s the scalp and not hair. The scalp can get sunburnt too, many people forget about it
Hats are overrated
@Roger Zambrano Not rlly!🙏💜
My cousins keep getting burnt on their scalp and peeling there 😂i should get them one
Just got the Abib one! Really excited to try it out! 😆
I personally love the Tocobo and the Mary & May sunscreen stick and haaaate the feeling of the Shiseido one with a passion 😅 makes me want to immediately wash my face😅
I am a dog walker and I love sunscreen sticks because I don’t need to touch my skin, thank you for sharing this:
I’ve been wanting to try the Abib one! 🤩
if u don’t want to clog ur pores and get acne, use mineral based sunscreens
@@angellew207what if you’re brown skinned?
love the one from scinic ! havent applied it over makeup though
Ahc was my first ever sunstick and I absolutely loved itt
Hmm... I'm going to ask a basic query- Why not apply sunscreen under the make up instead of over the make up? Or are you trying to reapply the sunscreen
It's for when you want to reaply. Of course you have to use sunscreen under makeup as well
It’s for reapplying. If you wear makeup, in the morning you must apply sunscreen under it.
Cuz sunscreen last only 2 hrs so we suppose to reapply every 2 hrs which with the stick is easier
Sticks are mainly used because they're convenient when you need to quickly reapply.
It’s funny because that’s a topic that’s been revisited over and over by every single “skin specialist” on RUclips and there is not a single way to do that without getting your makeup ruined. 😂 just put it before tour foundation and go live a little.
Try mo din Yung Dr wongs lightening soap and face cream as moisturizer and sunscreen helps to brighten moisturize your skin
See this and go order abib + neutrogena ultra sheer immediately 🤖
Others- Sharing their experiences abt the products.
Me- Pausing reel & taking ss of her nail paint! 💖 I love it!
Please review some sunscreen compacts , I’ve heard they are good for kids
great product very easy to use
Thinking of getting the neutrogena one
What's the best sunscreen spray for my face. Thank you! Xo
Aren't sunscreen sticks unsanitary though? I mean you just use it when you are outdoors and people don't wash their faces before reapplying it and they do it on top of all the dried sweat, oil and all the gunk that sticks to your skin that's present in the air. I think I'd much rather prefer a tube sunscreen instead of a sunscreen stick. Way more sanitary in my opinion.
Wipe it
I have a question, wouldn’t a sun stick be transferring bacteria from your face unto the sun stick? Seems pretty unhygienic to me.
Thanks for the awesome post! Which one is water resistant for swimming and reapplication after swimming?
Shiseido ❤
I wanted to like the shisheido sunscreen so badly but both the liquid one and the stick were so incredibly greasy😞
Can You also recommend sunstick for dry skin please ❤️❤️❤️❤️
omg that neutrogena sheer stick leaves such a white cast and feels greasy 😭
How are you póreless girl 😢 your skin looks amazing ❤
Which would you recommend for oily skin?
if u don’t want to clog ur pores and get acne, use mineral based sunscreens 😂😂
which sunstick is best for oily acne prone skin??
A mineral one and maybe a more lightweight one like the neutrogena ultra sheer sunstick
Get a very lightweight one
What are your thoughts on coral bleaching from sunscreen?
Personally, I attach great importance to the composition of sunscreens. I go for products without oxybenzone, octinoxate and benzophenone-2. "Laboratoire de Biarritz" sunscreens are designed with natural products but leave a white cast.
Do you recommend a sun screen stick that’s not mineral but more UV protection and dosnt need to be used with makeup ? And something that is moisturizing and won’t make you break out ?
Idk if this can still help but I would recommend the sun stick from isntree.
It’s very cooling and hydration, no white cast, no sticky finish and doesn’t break me out.
Also for reference I have dry, very sensitive and acne prone skin
Hope this helps
These must be great for dry skin. My oily skin didn’t like them. I ended up using the AHC, Netrogena & Shesido for my body.
Which one do u use?
@@rosemou3691 Cerave ultra light as a lotion&SPF for my face and I found isntree stick to be the best for my oily skin. Really airy.
@@h.m.d5264 does the isntree stick clog pores?
@@manuellanaibaho It’s too airy it doesn’t feel like it clogs pores. My skin is oily.
@@h.m.d5264 oh ok! I also have oily skin. Are you still using it until now?
Which one will be good for oily skin?
I just got the AHC one and I like it it has a slight citrusy lemony scent.
AHC I love for my face.
I’m so mad because Shiseido is almost perfect except for the mineral oil.
Edit: ah this thread is a dumpster fire. Yes I know mineral oil is deemed safe to use by derms (though personally it breaks me out, enlarges pores, dulls skin etc etc), my point being it’s a cheap ingredient that offers no real benefits other than sealing in moisture which is not a special feat, there are literally hundreds of options that do a substantially better job AND provide nourishing antioxidants. It all comes down to what you’re expecting from your skincare. I want my $$$ products to nourish my skin, not just sit on it.
Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.
Is mineral oil bad?
@@jujuh.3491 no
@@jujuh.3491 Yes it is. It's derived from petroleum products processing.
mineral oil isn’t bad. stop fear mongering, but if you’ve personally had a bad experience then don’t use it.
@@gyanapriyapanda so explain why mineral oil itself is bad. I’ll wait
Is the shiesido hydrating for dry skin and does it cause piling?
Would it be better to use the sunscreen over makeup or can I put it on and do my makeup on top of it?
Can you say me which sunscreen is best for dry skin ?
how do you get rid of body sunscreen at the end of the day? it always leaves me a bit itchy and I suspect its because I don't wash it off properly
I have abib and it's really good but i wanted to try shiseido but i can't find it in India
Are they all water resistant?
Sister, if i want to reapply my sunscreen or sunstick should i clean my face with toner pad or damp my my skin with mist?
Or just do it without cleansing my face?
But i don't want my makeup to be ruined😢
can i just ask, how sanitary is this?
A makeup brush or beauty blender would probably be more unsanitary than this, and you could just wipe off a thin layer of the stick when you’re done right?
A lot more than you think, as long as you apply when your skin in clean. Also, if you find yourself questioning the cleanliness, just scrape the top layer off.
@@user-dk2lf2zt1p won't it be easier to get 2 of them? one for face, the other one for the body. i don't use stick sunscreen tho so idk tbh
@@bari9566 for sure! But still, even then, you need to make sure your face and body are clean before applying stick sunscreen/sunblock. This way, you won’t have nasty build up on your sunscreen.
Is the Shiseido stick mineral?
Not a fan of sun stick. Cream all the way
would a chemical sun stick work over makeup though?
Are you supposed to put sunscreen over makeup????????
Hello. Most of these sunscreen are not available near me due to the russia ukraine war so can you please tell if farmstay is a good brand for sunscreens.
how would you clean these?
ohhh cool! thanks!
You shouldn't use the same stick for your face and hair. It's better to use 2 for both 😊
You can clean it before changing the area…not everybody can afford havin 2.
@@GabrielasChannel she used it in both area at the same time. so it was for her. i just wanted to make sure ppl doesn't do the same thing as her
Is the abib sun stick sticky?
What is the difference between a chemical one and a mineral one??? I didn’t really know about skincare much. I have oily skin and I use anything that has good reviews for my skin type.
Mineral sunscreens are exactly in the name, they contain minerals that sit on top of the skin (leaving a white cast) that prevents sun from getting past it while chemical sunscreens use UV blocking chemicals that absorb into the skin for a sheer/flawless finish. if you have oily skin you can try looking for a matte finish sunscreen, both chemical + mineral come in matte finishes so it's more about what you prefer. You don't need to know a lot about skincare, it can be as complicated as you want it to be: you can either do trial & error or you can research the sort of active ingredients you want. for oily skin just make sure you're also cleansing at least once a day, usually a night, to remove that excess oil & sunscreen
What does airy finish in sunscreens mean?
Also what does dry touch mean?
Airy finish = light probably also matte finish
Dry touch = not sticky to touch
Acuvue
Do they break you out
What is the last one (blue)? Shiseido?
Yes
Did anyone use the last one ? Im thinking of buying it
Wait putting sunscreen over makeup??? Is that a must???
You should put your sunscreen on at the end of your Skincare THEN apply makeup on top but we all need to REapply sunscreen throughout the day and that's where sunsticks come in handy.
What is the difference between a mineral and a chemical sunscreen?
chemical sunscreen has chemical filters which absorb the rays and convert them to heat preventing them to reach the skin underneath. the mineral ones have physical filters that reflact the uv rays away from the face thus avoiding them reaching the skin underneath. mineral sunscreens are better for sensitive skin but can leave a white cast and look ashy but the chemical ones are nonashy but can be a little oily on skin .
@@alwayshopeful7587 This is not true. Visit labmuffinbeautyscience on RUclips to reducate yourself on the difference between these two classes of sunscreens.
Mineral sunscreens use titanium dioxide and/or zinc oxide as active ingredients while chemical sunscreens use anything else
I don't think of it as mineral vs chemical sunscreens, more of physical vs chemical. I prefer physical sunscreen, which is often mineral in formulation as well.
Why I like it:
1. Physical sunscreen requires no reapplication after 2 hours (unless it has physically melted off due to sweat, or wiped off etc)
2. Less irritating - I don't have sensitive skin, but physical sunscreen doesn't sting my eyes
3. Doesnt endanger ocean life
No chemical ingredients like ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate that kills coral reefs
4. Has a white cast, ranging from slight to obvious depending on brands - I prefer a tone up effect so I go for those with a moderate amount of white cast. Also reminds me that my sunscreen is still there.
@@suyoungsy what do you mean by physical?
Idk Shiseido just feels greasy, sticky and does not absorb, just like any other stick I’ve tried so far. So frustrating
Where can I buy the one with mineral MDSOLARSCIWNCE and where can I buy the last one?
I got the shiseido one recently and idk how to feel about it cause I hate having my face feel so oily, does anyone have tips about this or should I just switch it out for something else 😅
Where can I get it!!!
Can anyone tell me these 5 sun sticks name
The hair part, WHAT
Can I use a sun stick instead of a sunscreen
Yes offcourse
I'm so tired of everyone who reviews sunscreens having dry skin or wanting "glowy" skin. What about those of us with oily skin who prefer matte? Oily people are apparently non-existent on RUclips.
Exactly 😭
I usually just apply some powder on top of the sunscreen, a temporary fix 😭
@@thesentientpotato3758 I also apply powder but it goes away within 15 minutes 😭
@@alen5158 same 😭
she said one of them was matte
Have you tried isntree sunstick?
Warning!!!! A lot of those have a very bad composition!
Why would someone use the sunscreens on scalp?
you could still get sun damage that could potentially lead to skin cancer on the scalp
These break me out tbh
I literally use target brand children's stick 😂 it honestly works well even though I haven't used it a lot
Is the Abib one chemical or mineral sunscreen ?
This is is a chemical sunacreen. I acc have this one and honestly, it does move my makeup a little bit like when you try blend it in that makeup will disappear. So i keep it away from my undereyes since thats where i put my main conceler on.
@@h.alm0896 how long does it last if used thricee?
@@mahmudulhussain9319 idk..? Maybe normal time like an hour and half? But if you used it three times, pretty sure the protection should be okay for re application
Just to let you know dermatologists don't generally recommend sun sticks
This is just for reapplication though and if you can't reapply w creams since it can be harder and more time consuming.
@@h.alm0896 Just wana know is that ok if different sunscreen is used for reapplication.. As u said Sun stick for reapplying
@@emmagal14 Depends on the type of sunscreen..i heard we shouldnt mix chemical and mineral sunscreens together so stick to one type when re applying
All sunscreen sticks move your makeup around!!! False advertising
Are any of these reefsafe?
Reefsafe is a made-up term. It means nothing.
Just opt for 100% physical or mineral sunscreen if you want to be sure
clingy 😔
I don't understand your reason as to why you don't like sun sticks. Your friend recommended you a sun stick, you then proceed to buy another sun stick. It doesn't work and then declare ALL sun sticks are not good over makeup??? You've literally just used one sun stick, at least try a few more before you come to that conclusion. Maybe try the one your friend mentioned?
ew transfer from hair to skin
It is actually not that hygienic.
u can just wipe the top with a tissue before each reapplication
Wouldn't it be a good idea to take off the filter - bc nobody can see any of it!🙏🙏
When a mosquito come to get food from your face it will be a free makeup.
I got a really bad reaction from the AHC suns stick. I have dry sensitive skin and even though this product claims to be for sensitive I still got the worst reaction. Not gonna lie I do get a lot of reactions from sunscreens so I’m probably just Allergic to there ingredients but it really is hard looking for sun sticks or sunscreen in general that works on sensitive skin.🥲
same problem bestie
Same here🥲searching for sunscreen for past many days
