The colour in the video made it so much better tbh I love that you change the look up once in a while and get creative with things instead of posting the same thing and not caring
How could you see it? I turned the brightness all the way up and at best I could see the object he was talking about. Chris could have been wearing a bear costume and I wouldn't have known!
This was really cool! I loved seeing the magic content even if it wasn’t a tutorial. Just advice, suggestions for what we could carry, things you actually use. Really great vid
In my IT EDC I have two thumb drives and pair of screwdrivers Philips and Flathead. The Thumb drives are loaded with portable apps tool on one and a bootable OS for deeper diagnostic checks on the other.
Awesome vid, very beneficial! My EDC is: 1. Playing Cards 2. iPhone 3. Loops (inside my wallet) 4. Sharpie 5. Omnideck (when I know I’m going to perform)
Great vid. I love the lighting and setting. As for my carry, I'm a hobbyist so a little less focused, but a ring, an elastic or 2 and a coin or two as well. Cards of course as well. I am going to explore a couple of the options you showed. I love simple impromptu things that I can do a simple effect and them move on. As I say, not the performer or aiming to be the center of attention with my magic, just fun with friends and fam. Mostly I study magic for myself.
Anyone else find it funny that he said "you can learn mnemonica with lots and lots of practice" the day after 'stack watch' was announced😂. Chris accidentally firing shots😂♠️
It took me 2 hours to have it down about 90%. The next day I had it 100% but I wasn’t fast, I could work it out but it wasn’t instant. By the end of the week it was burned into my mind.
I never used to carry a thumb with me until my family and I were on a Disney cruise and one of our waiters would come around at dinner time and do magic tricks. He did the vanishing and reappearing silk with a fake thumb. I caught it because I've been doing magic myself for decades as a hobby and I know of a couple local magicians that use the thumb in their walk-around at parties. It was a grotesque green Frankenstein thumb with a long rotting nail. The other eleven people at the table didn't catch it. The thing couldn't have been more than a foot away from my father-in-law's nose at one point and even he didn't see it. I was blown away. Definitely picking up the light up thumb tip, soon. Thanks, Chris!
One small gimmik i used to carry more for comedic relief when i worked in a gas station. 2 coins and a screw. Worked at a truck stop, so sometimes you would get some grumpy truckers, and this was one that always taught them off guard. The cleanest dirty joke you can get. "Hey, you ever see a Dime Screwin a quarter?" Of course they say no, and you just pull the dime quarter and a screw from your pocket, at the very least it always gets a smile and a chuckle. ive done this impromptu with washers, coins, anything pocket sized too. super easy, pretty clean, and brings people a good smile.
It's weird to ask people to sub to a channel that has nothing to do with the video. It makes more sense if you do tricks and stuff something similar to what Chris does since that's why people are watching Chri's videos.
Chris Ramsay.. You Brother Are A Inspiration. Just Saying. A Big Thanks For All You Do And Taking The Time To Teach The Right Way With Credit Where Due.. What Do I Keep In My Pockets My Hands.. Why.. Stops My Wife Stealing My Credit Card... Much Love n Peace
Casual Magic Fan that carries: 2 cards in my wallet 2 rubber bands 1 ring 1 pen Sometimes a magic stick (or i just make one real quick if there are kids around)

Cigarettes and Zippo lighter * Sometimes an Invisible deck * Sometimes a super cheap or really old deck because I just can't bring myself to write on or tear a nice high end deck of cards yet.
Been practicing my first magic tricks and binging your videos! Starting with Card Flick switch, back palming, and my tenkai palm! its nice to just practice the hand movements
I have been looking for this wallet for years ! I feel blessed right now haha ! Actually since I saw it on one of your old vlogs when you released it. Those videos by the way got me into magic better than any other content would have, with the right mindset and so. Thanks for that Chris.
Hobbyist Magician here. I have my EVERY DAY CARRY and a usual carry. My EDC is Hopping Coins in a Quiver and a Deck of Cards in a Stebbins stack. My usual carry is a little more involved as I wear a Scottevest and have several packet tricks. B'wave is one of my favorites as is Skinners 3 Card Monte. I also have my own trick I call Unruly Sibling which is derivative of B'wave and Twisted Sisters by Bannon. I also bring around Lux, Double Cross, and some Morgan Silver Dollar replicas (in case they get lost or dropped I dont want real ones on me and a expanded shell lol). Of course also a couple rubber bands and now EDCeipt. The other 10 pockets get loaded with whatever I am feeling that day. I do have that amazing phone app by Barnes for mentalism, but I have to admit I have not messed with it much. I absolutely want to invest in a good magician's wallet, but cant make up my mind which one. Suggestions?
Loved the vid Chris! The few items that I carry around all the time are a regular deck of cards, loops, 52 to 1 deck (Highly recommended) Double cross, gimmicked 3 card monte, and Odyssey! Does anyone else use any of these items?
What I carry does vary - depending on where I'm going. But mostly Invisible deck & matching regular; Rejoined (J.Miranda), loop of string for finger penetration etc. Thump tip (always) & also Double Cross... Plus I always have multiple card effects in my wallet. When carrying my small shoulder bag; it usually has at least 20 other effects in it too... Good to be prepared..!
I am not a magician in any meaningful sense of the word, and know only a small handful of magic tricks sufficient to delight my children and the occasional adult. But one of the things that appeals to me about magic is that I have always enjoyed fiddling with small objects, and I like to keep an assortment of small items on my person or at my desk at work. Over the years the collection has varied considerably, but five items I consider most crucial and like to always have on my person or at my desk are as follows. 1.) A deck of cards, not primarily for doing anything tricky, I mostly just like to shuffle them when I'm thinking or talking on the phone. 2.) A pair of eight sided dice. The symmetry of an isometric octohedron is incredibly appealing to me. A useful tool for thinking. 3.) A small to medium sized locking blade knife. Something inexpensive so I don't mind losing/breaking it, and with a blade no more than 3" long. 4.) A handkerchief. Neither for magic nor even for blowing my nose. Most often I just use it as a coaster, but it can also be used to clean my glasses, wipe up spills, as an impromptu bag, or dozens of other things. 5.) A British 1 Pound coin. Not primarily for magic as I only know one coin trick. I mostly just like the size, thickness, and weight of the 1 pound coin.
hi chris. I am from Russia and it’s hard for me to write English, so Google helps me. 5 things that I always carry with me are: 1 deck of cards and iparu gimik cards or gaff cards 2. watching your videos make me want to do magic man, i really have a passion for it but never had the motivation to do it until i watched your vids. keep up the good work brother, love from AUS
This is great. Mine are Cohort playing cards, phone with Tempus and CIPHER installed, switch wallet with billets and credit card from the HOW TO READ MINDS set, Silver Edge, Sharpie, keys.
A couple things I always have is: Lighter usually a Zippo because there's little fire related tricks like grabbing the flame and the ability to set it down like a candle for if you need to hold something over fire. Handkerchief Small pocketknife, just handy and practical Flashlight. Just a good little back up with more power than a phone flashlight Coin, especially an old or foreign coin for a little visual interest. My friend carries a Soviet 2 Ruble and I have a 1943 Australian penny
Usually I am very minimalistic with what I carry. I often have 1 deck of cards (sometimes 2), one prediction that can be planted under a watch, strangers card (if no second deck), some coins in the wallet (I usually borrow them anyway) and a bunch of blanks and double deckers.
Thanks Chris. Stay safe. I usually have a gemmy stone, usually a thumb stone, a hanayama puzzle or infinity cube to mess with, wallet, lighter, inhaler, pocket knife, copper ball (another fidgety thing), I think that's about it. I wear cargo pants or shorts normally, BECAUSE I've always carried so much around. Edit: typo
Sanders-extreme burn/ tenyo-half dollar centavo quarter/invisible thread loops/south wick-double cross. Chris what would be great is some kind of magician carry case maybe something with a magnet to keep items from being lost something to keep cards coins bills maybe something that is like a phone case. Anyways appreciate your videos!
5 things I carry (not all in my pockets) 1. Mismade bill (I use money morph method for the switch) 2. Folded card double stick taped in my shoe (I wish I remember who I learned that from) 3. Bowl of a spoon for a trippy spoon bend 4. Tattoo of a playing card 5. Some sort of small bill effect in my wallet like the 2 dollar bill tear
If I was still practicing... -Deck of cards -Sharpie or pencil -Pencil through dollar gimmick (I’ve seen them made for pens from painted straws too and you can make tons) -Rubber bands -(A little old-fashioned and maybe overdone but) Sponge balls. I’m a sucker for a well done, well planned sponge routine. My Dad (who was big in PA for magic when he was practicing) still has sponge balls in a pocket no matter what.
Hi Chris, you've inspired me in many ways, I've even gone and got myself some cards to practice with. Never done this type of thing, but during lockdown and my days off (I'm adult services in the UK so still working). It'll keep me busy and teach my little boys something! May even get some of your own cards too. Take care buddy.
1. Invisible deck (sometimes) 2. One normal deck with a duplicate card and a blank card (sometimes a double face card) 3. Loops (they usually are in my wallet, I can walk into a washroom at any time and put them on, and they don't break 4. PK ring at times 5. Haunted key Deluxe (also some invisible thread with wax) 7. the linking polo mints effect sometimes
Great video Chris. I seen where you were going to be in the new Magic Caught on Camera Season 1 Episode 3 on the Travel Channel this Sunday. The description said you were going to be giving new meaning to "cut the deck" at the barber shop. Can't wait to see it!!
Spongeballs with purse frame, marked deck, rubberbands, 2 different colored Mardi gras beads with a circle bracelet, and sucker punch. Another underrated tool for magicians is cargo pants, gives me more room to carry stuff and use it like a topit.
I actually only usually carry 2 items on me at all times and they are a cotton rope that I can do a good series of them because this rope has no core but the ends are glued to keep it from fraying. Also I carry a deck of cards which has 1blank card and 2 cards with opposite color backs. Though I do have many tricks though some are gone they are carried in my suitcase.
@Chris Ramsay, didn't know they made and updated version of branded. I still have my old one with the rotating plates. So going to get this updated version thank you
First time posting a comment on your vid! My 5 things are, My pocket knife, My pen, My wallet (sometimes), My lanyard with my house keys, My car keys (separated so i dont lock myself out of both my house and car) and My phone. I thought that was a interesting question because I have had people know me to always have those items and will tell people that This guy has a pen or knife on him at all times. lol
Ring sleights are one of my most favorite things, but the 4 rings I wear daily, fit properly so it’s hard to practice tricks without getting discouraged cause I don’t have a ring that will easily slide on from a throw
I always have ESP Cards. Great opener for further card effects based in intuition. I carry a reading system with me in my wallet, and one other packet trick. I always wear a ring, Rubber bands sometimes. And of course my deck of cards and rubik's cube if I have enough room on my person
Chris I love your channel You are a big inpitation to me to start magic and even cardistry. Also I want to get the 1st playing cards v3 but Ibhave to wait one more day I hope they are a little left. Also I try to collect cards and my mom is mad but idc. Love you 😁😁😁😄
I carry a leatherman Surge with a small AAA flashlight and fischer bullet pen all on the case on my belt, as well as my wallet, keys, phone, and a lighter or matchbook (I don't smoke, but it's always handy). For work I carry a lot more, but that's my EDC
The least I always carry with me is : - a deck of cards - imaginations coins (Garrett Thomas) - an omni deck - tiny plunger (Jon Armstrong) - inferno (Joshua Jay) Special mentions : - Nailed! (Rich Marotta) - Little Hand (Michael Ammar) - an ITR - l'imprimerie/Printing (Dominique Duvivier) - Stand up Monte (Garrett Thomas) - Seven Girls (Christian Chelman) Peace 👋🏽
Get Video! I like the collection of stuff you carry. My "carry" changes slightly depending on where I'll be (outside, inside, lit/dark environment, etc) but there are some common things: Several Rubber Bands, 1 Deck of Marked Cards (that I don't mind being written on), Sharpie (ungimmicked), my iPhone (with Predict n Grab), my (thin) Wallet (with Powerball 60 and cash for Stairway), and a String (for my Ring on String)
Can I just say that I love chris ramsay? I've had lame card tricks for years and this dude is making me wanna go crazy and try to become a pro. I'll prob only make it to the pro am circuit and fail but I'm down to do some magic
Can't do any magic, I mean ANY MAGIC!! But love watching what you can do with your hands.....and your brains lol.I don't usually wear pants with pockets but as a non magician.....i rock the norm......phone (which holds all my cards, licence and all that crap) and keys and that's it really!!
Sick video also the whole editing is so DOPE 👌 also appreciate the work put into the idea of the video it's not that easy to think of these video ideas! Go CHRIS
My EDC is 1. Razer Wallet by Dee Christopher - perfect minimalist wallet for me. 2. Advocate by Daniel Madison - I like that it encompasses a full deck and that I don't need anything other than said deck to make it. 3. A marked deck of cards with at least 1 dupe (actually 2 decks and an advocate...) - Literally haven't left home without a deck of cards in over a decade...10,000 pocket miracles 4. A ring - yea, too many great, quick tricks available with just a ring to not carry one 5. The Raven w/ shells and magnetic quarters - this one was kind of a hassle until I bit the bullet and bought 7...just put one in each outfit for the week. 6. Tornado by Justin Flom and Rick Lax - its too good to not carry, and you only have to carry 2 cards 7. Tarantula 2 by Yigal Mesika - My favorite ITR, can't leave home without the ability to do miracles 8. A Bite coin - Everybody still remembers seeing David Blaine do it on TV and, as someone who does a ton of coin magic, this still KILLS! 9. B'Wave by Max Maven - I actually carry Kings and Queens of this effect every day (8 card brain wave is also a phenomenal packet trick you can carry instead, pyf) 10. Always have 3 sharpies, a regular one, a magnetic one, and one with a prediction on it - I don't like handing out gimmicked sharpies, so I just carry 3 sharpies 11. Angle Z by Daniel Madison - ok, technically its a regular card, but I had to mention it as I always to perform it 12. A SvenPad - Its the gold standard of powerful mentalism 13. Business Cards - What kind of magician would I be if I didn't have business cards, and if they didn't have a built in trick ready to go on them? 14. Omni Deck - Just a great way to end an act or routine, and, in some cases, an AMAZING souvenir for a spectator 15. Triad Coins by Joshua Jay - SUPER powerful gimmicks, I use them in my handling of coins across Yea, it's more than 5, and 2 years late, but I only came across the video today and just started patting my pockets, I wouldn't have known just how much I carry on my every day, but this is much more than I expected.
Brilliant idea, great work Chris! Very helpful and coincidental considering I was just thinking about this earlier and then I saw it on your insta haha
I'm in no way a magician, not even close but i have a few tools to fool the kids now and then.. Double sided pen (one removable side magnetic) to stab a note with. Magnetic ring False thumb for the vanishing cloth trick A coin that splits in half to fit into a bottle. A normal deck of cards. Really enjoy the content Chris.
Wow! I really liked the ring tricks you did. I’d really like to learn some ring magic too. Have you ever taught any of those tricks on your channel? Could you , would you ?
What are 5 items you carry? Also, Lee and I both washed our hands before and after that rubber band trick haha
.... Face mask, hand sanitizer, phone, wallet, keys

Ah yes, a throw-back to the days when Chris reacted to bad magic, cussed on camera, and wore that ... slightly provocative ... hat

3. Loops (they usually are in my wallet, I can walk into a washroom at any time and put them on, and they don't break
4. PK ring at times
5. Haunted key Deluxe (also some invisible thread with wax)
7. the linking polo mints effect sometimes
Weird listening to a floating head and hands chatting about what's in his pockets. WHAT POCKETS?!
Prison pocket
JG I hear ya! I sometimes couldn't see the hands. At one point the thumb just floated!
What are you talking about? I could see him perfectly, like any other video....
I have been waiting for this video for so long! Thanks Chris!!
Just ordered my first practise deck after watching this channel
you know you got good style when chris wears a hoodie that you own
I loved this! In my pocket I have a yo-yo, headphones, bouncy ball, a black posca pen and my phone.
I love quiver plus
But this list is amazing and the lighting in this video is amazing
You are seriously a talented guy
A lighter, a knife and a piece of string are this man's survival tools. They do perform magic in the wild. Fun stuff.
Oh, and a debit card.
You KNOW I'm gonna use that finger ring trick now, right? ..and I love that thumbtip light. That's neat.
@Chris Ramsay, didn't know they made and updated version of branded. I still have my old one with the rotating plates. So going to get this updated version thank you
I want more vids like this as besides magic and puzzles you are still magical and amazing
Similar to the predicting Sharpie, I always love carrying the Hot Rod trick- super easy and impressive
Here's the video what ı looking for keep going brother !!!✨✨✨✨✨👑👑👑👑
Seen NK share your IG post, EDC with magic gets a like before I even hit play haha this is already fire content!
I always have my phone, keys, wallet on a chain, pocket/work knife, comb, Clipper lighter, leatherman multitool and asthma inhaler
The least I always carry with me is :
- a deck of cards
- imaginations coins (Garrett Thomas)
- an omni deck
- tiny plunger (Jon Armstrong)
- inferno (Joshua Jay)
Special mentions :
- Nailed! (Rich Marotta)
- Little Hand (Michael Ammar)
- an ITR
- l'imprimerie/Printing (Dominique Duvivier)
- Stand up Monte (Garrett Thomas)
- Seven Girls (Christian Chelman)
Peace 👋🏽
Get Video! I like the collection of stuff you carry. My "carry" changes slightly depending on where I'll be (outside, inside, lit/dark environment, etc) but there are some common things:
Several Rubber Bands, 1 Deck of Marked Cards (that I don't mind being written on), Sharpie (ungimmicked), my iPhone (with Predict n Grab), my (thin) Wallet (with Powerball 60 and cash for Stairway), and a String (for my Ring on String)
A deck of playing cards, a sharpie, a pack of loops, Sven pad, and coins ( plus the little hand) 🤪
Sick video also the whole editing is so DOPE 👌 also appreciate the work put into the idea of the video it's not that easy to think of these video ideas! Go CHRIS
Ox bender, sharpie, bands, deck, Optix, Omni ring (or ash and ember) on Volant neck chain, Inject/real list, Aberdeen thread, The Watch, T.T.
My EDC is
1. Razer Wallet by Dee Christopher - perfect minimalist wallet for me.
2. Advocate by Daniel Madison - I like that it encompasses a full deck and that I don't need anything other than said deck to make it.
3. A marked deck of cards with at least 1 dupe (actually 2 decks and an advocate...) - Literally haven't left home without a deck of cards in over a decade...10,000 pocket miracles
4. A ring - yea, too many great, quick tricks available with just a ring to not carry one
5. The Raven w/ shells and magnetic quarters - this one was kind of a hassle until I bit the bullet and bought 7...just put one in each outfit for the week.
6. Tornado by Justin Flom and Rick Lax - its too good to not carry, and you only have to carry 2 cards
7. Tarantula 2 by Yigal Mesika - My favorite ITR, can't leave home without the ability to do miracles
8. A Bite coin - Everybody still remembers seeing David Blaine do it on TV and, as someone who does a ton of coin magic, this still KILLS!
9. B'Wave by Max Maven - I actually carry Kings and Queens of this effect every day (8 card brain wave is also a phenomenal packet trick you can carry instead, pyf)
10. Always have 3 sharpies, a regular one, a magnetic one, and one with a prediction on it - I don't like handing out gimmicked sharpies, so I just carry 3 sharpies
11. Angle Z by Daniel Madison - ok, technically its a regular card, but I had to mention it as I always to perform it
12. A SvenPad - Its the gold standard of powerful mentalism
13. Business Cards - What kind of magician would I be if I didn't have business cards, and if they didn't have a built in trick ready to go on them?
14. Omni Deck - Just a great way to end an act or routine, and, in some cases, an AMAZING souvenir for a spectator
15. Triad Coins by Joshua Jay - SUPER powerful gimmicks, I use them in my handling of coins across
Yea, it's more than 5, and 2 years late, but I only came across the video today and just started patting my pockets, I wouldn't have known just how much I carry on my every day, but this is much more than I expected.
A lot of the stuff in this vid I’ve been trying to find so thank you
Love this! I actually got allot out of this video :) I appreciate you pointing us in the right direction for research!
Magnetic ring
False thumb for the vanishing cloth trick
A coin that splits in half to fit into a bottle.
A normal deck of cards.
Really enjoy the content Chris.
Thank you so much chris your videos are the best you inspired me to make my own channel where i try to post daily
I love this video soooo much! I am literally trying to convince my parents to get me these this lmao.
I always carry a single sock. Started as a joke, but it comes in handy very often. it's like a reusable napkin.
Wow! I really liked the ring tricks you did. I’d really like to learn some ring magic too. Have you ever taught any of those tricks on your channel? Could you , would you ?
More uploads Chris i really like all your content Puzzles or Magic its really entertaining.. good job man
You solving puzzles is more interesting than my life
Ring tricks with tattoo fingers definitely leveling up.
Please show the trick of all tricks you did using this items.. Some og tgem are very nice specially of the rubber band
Really appreciate the magic content :) not trying to push you to do more if you don't feel like it, just showing appreciation ♣
Hi Chris,
Could you show us how the tricks works? That would be cool!:)
Have a nice day
