It’s crazy that people don’t understand that this show was heavily scripted and everything was planned out and 90% of it is fake compared to to cKy and the original jackass seres…the 10% of off the cuff improvised shit is the best stuff
Bro I'm so grateful for this video, because I've listened to the entire series DVD commentary countless times and feel like I'm the only one who even remembers it. Wait til you get to Season 5's "Limo vs Lambo" episode, there is a spooky accurate prediction of Ryan Dunn's death by Bam and April in the commentary.
Dude you’re the first person I’ve ever seen make a dedicated documentary to viva la bam and everything associated. This my childhood. Thank you so much. Looking forward to the next ones🫶💫🤝
Great job, bro. This brings back memories. I can't believe VLB aired its final episode nearly 20 years ago in 2005. Such a great, care free time in life. I was 23. I can't wait for you to review seasons 2-5. Vito stole the show, funniest character. He outshined Bam a lot. I didn't even watch BUU the sequel show because it didn't have Vito.
Bro please keep these! And is it odd that I just binged viva la bam while playin through banjo tooie and you used witchy worlds theme in the background? Lol awesome
Appreciate seeing someone doing a retropective on one of my all time favourite shows. The first Season is the best in my view, some really great episodes there, personal favourite is, Don't feed Phil and April's revenge. And personally the Las Vegas episode is my least favourite. Didn't think the Christmas episode wasn't too bad. It funny I should see you doing this as I personally wondered if I should one day do a Viva La bam retropective of my own one day just out of nostalgia, despite never having made a video before.
Season 2 onward wasn’t good at all, but we still watched back then because bam and Ryan were sooo effing cool man..ok I did enjoy the Europe trip episodes in like season 4.
I've been searching everywhere for the last month for VLB in its entirety coincidentally enough, and after finding S1 elsewhere, this was a great refresher & intro to the BTS commentary, it's also great passing time content, everything goes so quick, that hardly felt like an hour, please tell me you're doing more/all seasons? this was awesome man
twu man, you got a favorite episode? I do plan on reviewing the entirety of the show. I will also be going into the Radiobam era after. There's a lot I plan on covering. Expect a post soon on the plan I have for the rest of the season.
@@UncleUnbated gotta be Ep 1, imo it showed everyone in their most natural state, not reacting for the camera, or changing how they'd do something, obviously they're fine into the later eps, but you can tell there's a dramatic shift from almost a reality show, to "start throwin whatever it says to"
It sucked it was never on the dvd set or aired on tv. However, the lost episode was a bonus for those who bought the Viva La Bands compilation albums. That’s how I got to see it back then.
I have the skateboard DVD and all the seasons of Viva LA bam. Are you gonna do each season as a separate video? Because that would be pretty cool. Love the content, buddy.
That's sick man! Yeah I'm planning on covering seasons 2 and 3 together. Same with 4 and 5. But I also will have an episode dedicated to Villa Valo and another episode on Steve-O. It isn't set in stone yet, but that's the general idea.
52:31 i remember Dico saying they got scammed here too along with the turkey thru the open bus door. Dico got a strike down an actual bowling lane while Willie The New Guy did that lame ass strike lol
The Sunday stew aired back to back. 4 hours of entertainment, you had to watch the show twice back then to catch everything again. No DVR back then. No fast forwarding thru commercials either. Recording shows on VHS killed the picture quality.
Season 1 was pure gold, then it went downhill from there with bam spiraling down the drunk/drugs rabbit hole. Season 2 onward was a teenie bop game show and apes annoying screaming.
Some minor criticism: a lot of times you include sound effects, the sound is a bit fucked up. In my experience that happens if you either didnt adjust the soundsettings for that specific sound, or it is in a format that your videoprogramm doesnt like, you could convert it to another one to fix it probably.

What's the music that starts playing at 32:21?
41:13 knowing Tim Glomb, he prob didnt pay them what they were owed 🤣
They didn’t even really like glomb or hung with glomb. Glomb worked for MTV.

Bam wasn’t original at all. He pretty much copied other cooler people’s style. Ryan Dunn was original and a talented actor on sitcoms.
Also, Rake Yohn got poison ivy on his ass.
That’s is not 20K in skateboard ramps😂😂 people on the show have all said glom was a scumbag
Do you have a source for what people have said about Glomb?
