Operation Solania 24-1

Op Solania supporting our Pacific family ❤️
During the first Operation Solania for 2024, #AusAirForce deployed a C-27J Spartan to provide maritime surveillance support to the Forum Fisheries Agency’s Operation RAI BALANG.
The team of 20, operating out of Port Vila, Vanuatu, conducted 10 missions over two weeks, supporting FFA, and the Vanuatu Police Force in detecting and deterring illegal fishing activity throughout the Pacific.
Demonstrating its aerial maritime surveillance operations capability and flexibility the C-27J Spartan aircraft conducted low-level flying so loadmasters could capture high-resolution imagery of vessels believed to be fishing illegally.
