Bomber Command Association

Bomber Command was the Royal Air Force's wing in control of all bomber forces from 1936 until 1968. During the Second World War they were responsible for the bombing of Germany. In late 1944, there were more than 80 operational squadrons within Bomber Command. Personnel and squadrons also came from outside the Royal Air Force, including Australia.
10,000 Australians served with Bomber Command during the Second World War. 3,486 were killed in action, with a further 650 dying in training accidents. This was Australia's highest casualty rate during the Second World War.
The Bomber Command Association was founded in 1997 to ensure that the service and sacrifice of Bomber Command is never forgotten. It is open to anyone with an interest in Bomber Command and works to support veterans and their families.
