- The ice in some areas is much better than ice in other areas. The season is starting to catch up to normal times, but now I have to find some pods of bigger fish. On this day I got into a PILE of Walleye but still looking for the Big Mammas!

We are hoping but, he's not doing too well as of right now...
It's funny. My wife was getting sick off all of the hunting videos I've been watching. So now that hunting season is over for me, I turned on the ice fishing videos, of course CSO being the most prevalent. So now she can get sick of all the ice fishing videos until turkey season, then she can get sick of those. lol!
Mine watches ice videos w me! But her and our kiddo are also my fishin pals lol.

I just lost Zane, the first dog I've raised and it felt like I lost a brother. Never raised his lip to anyone, I'm single, no kids, incredibly difficult. I can tell Tigger is on your mind. Prayers for Tigger the cat

Best wishes for your cat. Glad you got your mind "kinda" off a rough situation but it showed.
If a healthier fish dinner is the goal, try a small amount of olive oil instead of tallow. Beef tallow is about the same as butter concerning saturated fats without that butter flavor. I'm a huge fan of the lemon seasoned fish wrapped and baked in foil. Probably because backpacking that's the easiest way to cook fish in a fire. 2 more weeks for good ice and fresh perch fillets here!

Sorry to hear about Tigger. We are dealing with an old cat that is getting to be in bad shape. It's really sad to see them go through this but its also to hard to put them down. 😢

Praying for your cat. My wife brought ours back from the dead with some home remedies. Catnip tea shots and turmeric tea shots. Catnip is a natural painkiller and turmeric has a ton of good properties

Hey Clayton, prayin for Tigger man! Got a question though. What's the one do all walleye rod from frostbite you'd recommend? I fish in the shelter and run around outside hole hopping, don't do deadstick though. Nice fish man, good luck the rest of the winter!

Don’t worry about the underwater camera, I find December and January the sun is so low it’s hard to see anything down there. Thanks for the recipe! Look forward to more of those, let’s get a perch recipe, I hope to bring home a lot of nice eaters this winter again.

mid day walleyes can be so tough! try moving around more during the day and finding them. They don't like to move as much during the day I find. Sometimes you have to drill right on top of them

Making me more anxious to get out and try my new livescope… the lake I fish is horrible ice wise 8-9 inches of crappy ice in places and 3-4 in others with crazy slush and flood water. Seems it will be kinda screwed for this year. Gonna have to go further north for better ice ( Keeley/ waterhen lake). Hopefully soon!
The slush has been so bad on some lakes this year!
Hopefully its just because you didn't charge the camera. Last year my hd7i started to not want to turn on after charging it. If I turned it on while plugged in it would turn on then I could unplug it and it would work normally until I charged it again. Aqua Vu did right. I sent it in and they got it sorted quick.

People are using poisons to kill the mice and gophers more often than not, this intern will poison the cat if they bite or eat it. I’m not sure if this is the issue, but this happened to a friend.

As i maybe get to ice fish 2 weeks out of the year where i live, is there any super cheap sonar or just keep drilling til i find them?
Garmin Striker 4 is a really good fairly inexpensive unit. I love mine for ice fishing! I did upgrade my Transducer for ice fishing but I used the one it comes with and it worked good also.

You should keep a smaller pike sometime and make fish balls. I'm not a big fan of eating fish but fish balls are freaking delicious
