There is a story of a guy hiking up the mountains one day and was confronted by a horrifically disfigured man. Shocked and not wanting him to come any closer he backs away and ends up falling off the mountain sustaining serious injuries. As the man searches for help he reaches a near by river to clean his wounds and notices his reflection. He is shocked to see the face staring back at him is the face of the disfigured man at the top of the mountain.

Reminds me of a story I read, some thing that looks scary as shit stalks some buddies, then one (call him Stephen) decides to touch it to see of it’s real. Stephen (the dumbass) touches it, and it has a f*cking *Spasm*, or Atleast just starts shaking a lot. They just NOPE out of there’s, but over the course of the year Stephen gets sick and dies. Rick (The buddy, I named him rick) was with him, and says that he looked just like the scary thingy.

@@Titanicdork133 It was real. Look up the serial killer Albert Fish. He actually wrote that letter to the girl's parents. You can find it in his case files which are open to the public and readily available on the internet. I must warn you though that letter he wrote to her parents was tame compared to the other atrocities he committed.
Also, if that seems like to much commitment to go through there is a show/podcast here on RUclips called Timesuck by Dan Cummins and he did an episode on the serial killer Albert Fish. You can look it that way too. Dan Cummins has some really raunchy humour be if you can get through it you will hear the rest of Albert Fish's debauched story.

This reminds me of a horror story that lead to a real ghost story. Once on a school trip, one of our friends told a story about a creepy doll that killed people and held up a finger for each family she killed, similar to one of the stories told here. All the girls in the cabin freaked out and none of us wanted to sleep alone, so we all put a bunch of blankets and pillows in the middle room of the cabin. In this room, there was a glass door. When I looked at the door, I saw a boy around our age staring at us with both hands up holding peace signs, and I got pissed because there was some boy staring at us. When I tried to get a better look he disappeared. I told my friends about the boy and when we got home we looked up pictures of boys who looked like that. I found one of him, holding the exact same position with his hands up. We clicked on the picture and it lead to an article about a kid our age who’d killed himself by jumping off a roof. The weirdest thing was that he wasn’t from America, he was from a country in Europe.

I think it's because with a human you can hear if they sympathise with the subjects of the story, if they're trying to make it sound creepier, etc. and you decide whether or not to like them for that. With a cg voice it is impossible to validate any hint of sympathy or hatred you may hear, so you're left in the unknown; something which humans naturally fear.

    1. The story of a murder/torture referred to as "the hello kitty murder". I'm not going to go into a lot of detail because it's extremely disturbing but there was a young woman (I don't remember her name) got involved with a gang I believe and through a chain of events, she ends up owing them a lot of money. She doesn't pay up and the gang kidnaps her and they torture her (along with a 13-year-old girl) they do unspeakable things to her and she ends up dying. The put her skull in a hello kitty doll. Eleanor Neale has a really good video on it. It's so unbelievable that some people think it's a made-up story
    2. I don't really remember anything about this but I think there was a girl who rejected a boy who had ties to some mafia or something and he and his friends kidnap her and torture her in their house WITH THEIR PARENTS home. There were multiple times that she could've escaped. I think Eleanor Neale also has a video on this.
    3. Before I start, Eleanor Neale has a 2 part series on this. One day, the manager of a lululemon store comes into work and the door is unlocked she panics because she didn't know if the store got robbed or something. She walks in and the front room is all messed up. She freaks out and runs next door to an Apple store. She goes up to a man named Ryan who was waiting to get a new iPad and asks him how long he's been there a few other questions. She ends up asking him if he'll check out the store because she's scared. He walks into the back room of the lululemon store and there's a gruesome murder scene. There are 2 women on the floor. There's blood everywhere. One of them is very clearly dead but they realize the other girl is still alive. They call the police and the living girl is rushed to the hospital. One really sus thing they realized was the living girl had very superficial injuries and the other girl was beyond recognition because her wounds were so bad. There's a lot of investigating and they find this out:
The living girl killed the other girl. They were both in the store past closing time because they forgot some stuff and that's when the murder happened. One really creepy thing was that she made the whole thing so she would look like a victim. One thing that was really sus to me (I mentioned this before) when I first watched this was that one girl had superficial wounds and the other girl had 200+ stab wounds just on her face, head, and neck.

The second one you mentioned happened in Japan in the 80's and it was Junko Furuta's case. Search it. The parents weren't home, but she was kept in one of the places they owned... Pretty much everything that can be done to a human body was done to hers. I will never, ever forget her. I remember reading about it when I was 15 (I'm 28) and I was pretty much in shock for three days, couldn't even eat. It was also what triggered me to leave church: I grew up being told that not even a strand of hair falls from your head without God's permission and I thought to myself "If God allowed that to happen to a innocent human being, doesn't matter what the big picture is, his final plan, I don't wanna be part of it".

One of my favourite scary stories has got hundreds of different tellings, all with little details changed, but the plot's basically the same:
A man is hiking through the woods in the early morning, when he suddenly realises that he's lost. He decides that he should keep going forward, figuring that he'll eventually see a landmark or stumble onto some civilliation. After walking for so long that the sun has entirely set and the moon sits high in the sky, he's spots a small shack in a clearing just ahead of him, barely able to see it in the dim moonlight. He goes up to the door and knocks, hoping that someone will answer and give him directions. After receiving no response, tries the handle and finds the door unlocked, slowly pushing it open to reveal the interior of the cabin.
The interior looks almost exactly how you'd expect a shack in the middle of nowhere to look and is almost entirely empty. In the dark, he can barely make out a desk resting against one wall, a small cabinet next to it, and a single bed tucked into the far corner. The man looks back at into the forest behind him, debating whether he should be invading someone's privacy. However, seeing the state of obvious unhabitation the shack is in, paired with the fact that his options appear to have run out, he decides that his only sensible choice is to spend the night, and so he enters the cabin.
Once the door is closed behind him, the man is plunged into total darkness, save for what his eyes have adjusted to. He squints around the room and spots an oil lantern sat barely visible on the floor next to the bed, quickly retreiving it as well as matches from his backpack. Thanking his luck, the lantern ignites with no trouble, illuminating the room in a flickering glow. It is at this point he finally gets a clear view of the room and notices something very odd and somewhat disturbing. The walls of the shack are lined with potraits of people from the shoulders up, some of the occupants smiling, some scowling, and some staring blankly. Though this unsettled him a great deal, he knew that he could not attempt to hike out of the woods at night, or he would certainly never find his way out. After all, they're just paintings.
He places the lantern on the floor next to his bed, as well as his pack, and begins removing his shoes and jacket. Before lying down, he decides to check if the door has a lock, finding a latch in place and firmly locking it. As he walks back to the bed, he notes how the eyes of the paintings appear to following him around the room, unsettling him further. Finally laying in bed, he turns to face the wall so that he does not have to look at the paintings and slowly drifts into sleep.
The man awakes in the cabin, sunlight filling the room. He rolls onto his back, stretching and staring at the ceiling for a few seconds, allowing his eyes to adjust to the brightness. But something suddenly dawns on the man. The shack has no windows. How can the room be filled with sunlight? He sits upright and looks around the room in panic, his eyes darting to each painting. For he does not see any paintings lining the walls. Only windows.

During the Japanese occupation in the Philippines during WWII, my great grandfather was a guerilla soldier. As a result, he, my great grandmother, my grandma and her two brothers (grandma was still an infant and my grandfathers were probably around 5-10 years old), had to run around to avoid capture from the Japanese. They used to dig these holes into the soil large enough to hide the family plus the dog they kept and then camouflage the entrance with soil and foliage. They've been living in this hole in this specific area in the mountains (forgot where it was) for a while. My great grandmother was Catholic and very religious, and one night she had this scary dream where the Virgin Mary warned her that the Japanese were going to come and discover the hole they lived in in three days and would kill them if they didn't leave immediately. She woke up my great grandfather immediately and they all left. Three days later they heard from my great grandfather's comrades (i'm assuming they had some sort of radio?? i'm not that sure) that their little hole was discovered by the Japanese

The one about the story, "1408" actually became a pretty good Horror Movie. I'm being serious, too. It's an actual movie. Go watch it.
Edit: After continuing the video, the redditor said the film wasn't very good. What one were YOU watching? The one I watched was good, so I don't know which one the redditor saw.
Edit 2: For clarification, the one I saw had the ending where he survived and he had a DVD recording of his Daughter's voice. Also, oh my, thanks for all the likes. I did not expect that many likes.

I think I saw _1408_ in the cinema, which is a rarity for me. John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson. I think we got the "happy" ending.
I remember Cusack's character being a jerk who we probably wanted to see die. I feel like the film dragged on too long, with multiple false endings. The post office one was pretty good though.

I had no idea, that's so curious...I googled and read up on the four different endings, and I got the ending where he died, I think it was the original ending where he just dies in the fire and there's no after bit with him in the back seat of the car and him reuniting with his daughter in death. If I'd seen that, I'd probably have liked it more lol, I just remember being upset he died and that there was nothing really happy about the ending besides the room's destruction. 32:30 that’s classic sleep paralysis. It only happens when you are laying on your back, it feels like you can not move (because your muscles still think you are asleep) and once the muscles start to wake up it feels like something got off of you. And it is known to be often accompanied by a demon or something like that in a bad dream.

I had experienced something like this. I was having a weird dream of an adult version of me living in an apartment. I don't remember much except that I had this tan ball thing living with me. (Like I said a weird dream) gradually a face formed. Very cartoon-y tho, looks like a cgi face with big eyes, no nose, and a mouth. It starts talking to me once the face is shown. It threatens me claiming to be a spirit possessing the thing, it says how I'm trapped and I can't escape. My dream self just denies this and tells the "spirit" how can I possibly be trapped. It goes silent and stares at me all expressionless, like I just sucked the life out of it. Then it teleports on my chest (in the dream I was laying down on my back, maybe it was sleep paralysis) it starts jumping up and down and it's weight accelerates till I can't breathe, it chants you're trapped, there is no way out over and over again. Then I wake up with a pain on my chest and it was hard to breathe. I don't remember what position I was in when I woke up but it freaked me out. I also have other dreams with weird experiences that I hope someone can explain.

    • @Luvliixo
      @Luvliixo 4 года назад +4

Here is weird dream #2. Btw these dreams were much longer than described but I'm saying what I remember. These weird dreams happened through a span of when I was about 7-11 years old. Anyway, this dream starts with me in my room on my bed. It's nighttime and the outside was a beautiful night sky with many stars and the moon is bright (the moon is a normal bright so nothing suspicious) and I turn to see my sister. I don't remember what happened but I do remember making eye contact with her, she then says "help" and she starts to morph to ring-girl. Then she teleports outside in our backyard and I got up and ran to the window that lead to the backyard. (My dreams are usually in 1st person but sometimes my dreams can seem like movies or video games with different "camera" views that switch from one to another. Does it make sense?) So the "camera" view changes to the backyard and I don't know how to describe it but basically the view was from the ground up. Like a bug was holding a camera pointing upright. You could see my sister-turned-ring-girl and above you could see me looking through the window. The ring-girl was facing 90 degrees to the left of this view thing and I was behind it. She then turns to look at me and the dream returns to 1st person. We communicate through telekinesis and the conversation went like this:
Me: "what happened to you. Are you really my sister? Or are you a spirit? If you're a spirit are you good?"
r-g: "I'm not your sister, I am a spirit. But please trust me, I am good."
I was suspicious and thought she was a demon trying to trick me. Everything else is fuzzy until something happens that leads me to be so scared I wake up. But something was off, everything is pitch black and I felt myslef trying to open my eyes but they seemed glued shut. I felt trapped. I think to myself if I can't escape I'll just deal with it. I go back and something changed. It was daytime and ring-girl was still outside the dream is also is still in 1st person. But, I felt power. I felt like I was this god, I unconsciously knew I could do whatever I wanted. Being the child I was (I was around 8 and I had recently made a story up of a hero that was just a giant butt that would remove anything evil, this was to make my younger siblings have a good laugh while we were bored) I made this butt hero fly from the right of the view and disintegrated the thing with a loud fart. I thanked the hero and I forgot what he did and he left. But basically I had the ability to control what happened in the dream after this weird experience of being trapped in my sleeping body happened. Any explanations?

I remember a story I heard about a guy who was in town late, the movie theatre was showing it's last films for the night and he was heading fo his car, when he got to the door two kids, both no older than 11 approached him, asking if they could get a ride home to get money for the movie. They were just two ordinary kids, unarmed, and yet this guy was terrified, he couldn't for the life of him figure out why though with the poor lighting in the street he could barely make out their eyes. He just told them, "sorry, but the last movie already started, you wouldn't make it back in time." but the one boy said that it was fine and it wouldn't take long. The guy didn't even realize his hand was already holding the handle to the door of his car and the kids were a lot closer now. Making some hurried excuse he quickly got into his car and shut the door, locking it. The kids were now pounding on his window and he still couldn't see their eyes, they were practically shouting as they said *"We can't come in unless you tell us it's ok, let us in!"*

Around 11ish my father had died and I was miserable. A few days after the funeral I was walking into my mom's room to grab something for her; the special thing about her room is that there's a dip in the wall big enough for her dresser, the small TV sitting on top of said dresser, and a child if they squeezed in behind the dresser a certain way; anyways, I walk in and for some reason I look towards the dip and see a tall shadow peeking over the dresser. There's no person shaped thing in the room besides me and I'm waaaaay too small to make the shadow, so I back out the room and quietly go tell my mom about it. She says it's my father ghost watching us, but that felt so wrong to me.
Skip to that night. She isn't used to sleeping alone and I was still afraid so I slept in that room with her. She went to sleep as normal but around 2ish I felt someone crawl across the bed and stand by my bedside. I never saw what it was but somehow I knew if I moved it would be over, so I pretended to sleep. Right as the sun was coming up it crawled across the bed again and I've never seen or heard it since. I still nearly cry when I think about how wrong that shadow looked and how committed it was that night.

This isn’t the scariest thing but at the time it almost made me piss myself and cry so have a real story:
When I was 10, I was on a walk with friends, I’ll call them Aubrey and Daisy for convenience. Aubrey was one of these girls who loved herself some scary stories, scary movies, etc.
We were walking in the forest behind my house, it was that ‘dark’ where the lights on the path were still off but it was just dark enough for us to not be able to see far in front of us.
I heard footsteps and glanced behind me, there was a man. It must have been the lighting but there wasn’t a single feature we could identify other than the fact he was a large, tall, man.
We started speeding up because Aubrey was freaked out. Daisy told her to ‘stop being dramatic’ and looked back. I did too and, without his footsteps having sped up, the man seemed a lot closer.
Aubrey’s paranoid comments were starting to get to me and even though Daisy pretended she was fine, I could tell she was getting scared.
We got to the path that went behind my house and we stopped, absolutely terrified by this point. We glanced back, finding the man was gone. There was no trace of him, nowhere. There was no chance he could have gone anywhere other than into the forest. We decided to run back to my house and Aubrey and Daisy went home. I didn’t go into the forest at sunset ever again unless I was with my mother and our 3 dogs.

    I have one (true story):
When I was younger my sister and I shared a room. One night I was awakened at 2am by a bright light in my window. The window faced the backyard which was entirely woods and it was fenced of on the sides facing the neighbors so only the woods was accessible. Anyway, it was as if someone was sitting in their car four feet away from my window with their head lights on, that's how bright it was. It sort of panned over the window side to side, but it always shinned right in my eyes. My bed was right in front of my window and I often slept facing it. The light kept shinning for at least thirty minutes, but I was too terrified to move so I sat frozen just watching the light, until my sister slightly woke up. She whispered to me; "Reese blow out that candle." but when I turned to her she was still asleep so I turned back to the light and it was gone. I eventually fell asleep again and in the morning I asked her about it and she said; "What are you talking about? I was asleep the whole night, nothing happened. The next week a man was arrested for the kidnaping and murder of 12 young brunette and brown eyed girls (I'm brunette and have hazel eyes). I don't know if it was him at my window, but I think my hazel eyes may have saved my life. To this day I still wonder how a light that bright was seen as a candle to my supposedly asleep sister and how it disappeared without me noticing. It probably wasn't that guy, but I was too afraid to fall asleep for 4 weeks. I asked my sisters is it was a prank they pulled on me to scare me, but they told me they still have no idea what I'm talking about.
Edit: I should also mention that all 12 girls had long straight hair. I cut my hair to a bit above my shoulders and it naturally began to turn wavy without the extra weight. When I was younger it was long and straight, but after that I went with my mom and cut my hair, I haven't changed it since. That experience scared me for life.

My mom wakes me up in the middle of the damn night, browsing my phone (this was the flip phone era) randomly, and then when I ask her to please give it back and let me go to bed, she just hops on the bed and crawls all the way to the window to stare outside (this was a CONSTANT thing from her; always staring out the damn windows). Then she opens it because she “swears” she saw something, which begins to scare me and I ask her to close the window or I’m leaving to the other room. She begged me not to leave her alone because she was "scared", and I ask her again to then close the window if she didn't want me to leave, and she goes "you're mean.”
Then she starts rambling “Somebody dropped a head outside. Oh my god,” and then inches her entire head out the window to stare further at the area.
Again, this is the middle of the damn night and scaring the shit outta me, but know she’s acting insane, and this time I just yell/demand for her to close the damn window, to which she shouts “NOOOO!” loud as shit (wouldn't be surprised if neighbors heard it). I immediately just grabbed my pillow and the blanket, and went to my brother’s room to sleep on the bottom bunk.
For context: My mom wasn’t the most mentally sane woman out there, and she would have these “phases” where she barely knew who she was or would just stare out the damn window, looking at the neighbors, always suspicious of something (my dad used to HATE it when she did that, and when she finally left the house to live with her mom, my dad hilariously got pissed at my youngest brother and yelled at him to stop staring out the window once, even though he was simply playing a spy game with my other brother. He also used to move our cat away from the window, because, even thought that's just what cats do, it reminded him of that annoyance of my mom).
I don’t know what it was, but it took me many years to see how insane she really was.
That particular night was the day my dad picked up our youngest brother and didn’t bring him back, because my mom basically screwed over her privileges of having him and I to spend the days with her, by not taking him to school for several days in a row. My mom was already warned about it, but, as typical with my mom, she didn't give a shit and privileges revoked.
Never experienced anything close to as creepy or scary as the other stories here, but this is the “closest” I’ll get, because my mom’s (possibly) drug-induced paranoias.

The one on the subway reminded me of a skit I was in for high school. The idea is that there's 2 girls at an airport really early for a flight. One of them needs to use the bathroom and while she is out a guy comes along and sits down next to the remaining girl. The other girl comes back from the bathroom, the first girl tells her about the guy, then she has to go to the bathroom again. While she's out a second guy comes along and sits down to the remaining girl's left. That's my cue. I walk on with someone else and we are security/police and she tries to ask us for help and we deflect her and say they're doing nothing illegal, then we walk offstage. That's when she snaps, she says "you two" and points to the two guys sitting beside her (who haven't moved or said anything aside from both looking at her in an ominous simultaneous fashion) and they freeze up with startled expressions. She asks them why they sat down next to her and they both reveal that they have a fear of flying in airplanes and that being near her is comforting. That was the joke. Another skit made a reference to Al Qaeda, one saw the decimation of Family Feud at the hands of the word Tuesday, and I legitimately forgot all of the other skits.

I have a few stories involving ghosts, me, my mom, and my half-brother’s dad. My mom tells me that I would often see ghosts. Apparently there were a few times when I would stare in the corner, get scared and say “man!” Like there was a creepy ghost guy in the corner. The next one is a kicker. Little 2yr old me was eating dinner with my mom and my half-brother’s dad and I suddenly get all happy and say, “Jessica” which was the name of my then-recently deceased sister that died in a car crash. I personally don’t remember these stories but they creeped out my mom. These might not be as creepy as some of the other stories, but it’s definitely creepy. To this day I often see deceased family members in my dreams and most nightmares involve demons and other ghosts. I see shadows when there’s nothing there and stuff like that. No B.S.

There’s this story about a tv show called castle cove. (This story is from SNARLED if you want a better explanation) it takes place around the late sixties when these two brothers used to watch a tv show called castle cove. it had a pirate theme, and included a little girl, and various puppets to play the rest of the characters. The show was pretty creepy to the kids. eventually, years later, one of them gets into a discussion with multiple people on the internet who remember watching that show when they were young. One of them mentions having this hyper realistic nightmare with all the characters screaming, and one character who notoriously nashed their teeth sounded the most horrifying. His scream echoed through his nashing teeth making a terrible sound.
    But it wasn’t a nightmare.
Apparently they all remembered this as actually being an episode. Desperate for answers one of them visits their mother and asks her about castle cove. She then explained how weird it was that him and his brother would watch tv static for thirty minutes twice a week.

Have you heard the story of the telepo?
“At night when the moon shines, and the wind blows, you can hear a voice say: Tailypo, tailypo, now I’ve got my tailypo.”
Tailypo is a North American folktale with roots both in Appalachia and the South. There are many versions of this story.
    Johanna and Paul Galdone's version.
Most versions include an old man or hermit that lives in a small log cabin in an isolated area-- in the woods or near a swamp. He has three hunting dogs named, Uno, Ino, and Cumptico-Calico.
It was late in autumn, and the old man had not had much luck with his hunting. He prepared a meager meal of one thin rabbit for himself and his dogs.
Heading for bed, he spots a strange cat-like creature entering his cabin through a crack in the floor.
It was fat with a dark coat of fur. Its tail was large and bushy. The man still hungry grabbed a hatchet and chased the strange creature. He chopped off its tail and then it left the cabin the way it entered--screaming.
The old man then cooked the tail and ate it-it tasted so good he does not share it with his dogs. He then went to bed. Within the hour, he awakens to the sound of a loud thumping. He hears something scratching on the cabin wall.
A shrill voice says, “Tailypo, tailypo, who has my tailypo?”
He calls his dogs, “Here, here, here” and opens the cabin’s door. Chaos ensues with the dogs barking wildly, trying to follow the creature up the wall of the cabin. Their barking becomes faint as they chase the beast into the swamp.
When the dogs return, Uno is not with them-the man is unconcerned for his dogs often hunt on their own-- he returns to his bed as he hears the other two dogs settle down on the porch.
Around midnight he is awakened once more by a loud thump.
This time the scratching sound is at the back of his cabin-near where he lay. It sounded like the wood was being shredded and torn away fiercely.
For the second time, he hears, “Tailypo, tailypo, who has my tailypo?” His dogs rush around the side of the cabin barking and growling. He gets up in time to see just Cumptico-Calico chase the dark figure back into the swamp.
When Cumptico-Calico doesn’t return-- the man reassures himself that Calico like the other dog was hungry and had found something else to hunt-exhausted the man goes back to bed.
Just before dawn, he is awakened for the third time. Now the thumping is at the foot of his bed, and he once more hears the scratching. He watches as his covers are pulled off. Frightened, the man dares not look anymore.
He feels the creature jump on the bed and then it pokes him with its sharp claws as it walks from his feet to his neck.
It then demands loudly, “Tailypo, tailypo where is my tailypo?” The man unable to move spots its' gleaming yellow eyes.
Several days later, a neighbor found the old man’s bed shredded to pieces with random bones laying about. His dogs were never seen again.
They say when the moon shines bright, one can hear way off in the swamp, “Tailypo, tailypo, now I have my tailypo.”

This is sort of a wholesome ghost story.
I always feel like there's a presence in my house-like every person who's lived in this house is connected to it. At times I see faint images of my cats who have passed on, and very rarely I even see images of people I don't know-though it might just be light playing tricks on me. Sometimes at night I even feel pressure of something sitting on my bed, like how my cats used to sleep at my feet, and I'll look and there will be nothing there.
Apparently, my house was first owned in 1927, so in a few years it will be its 100th anniversary. According to my parents, they got the house from an older woman who had children who grew up in it and had recently moved out. The woman told them that she'd love to sell the house to a new couple, and hope that some children can grow up in it just like her own. For nearly 100 years, my home has housed several families who grow up and sell to another, and some day me and my sibling will inherit the house.
I think the spirits of these people and animals are still here-but not in a creepy way. They're happy that the house is still being lived in, they're glad that they can see the place they love evolve and change. No matter if the house is completely empty, with no one in it but me and my living cat, I still feel the presence of others. I hope when I die, I get to stay here too.

My sister told me this story when I had just started primary school, and at 18 years old, I still can’t sleep with a limb outside my duvet because of it.
The story goes that there was a girl who was home alone with her dog. Her mum was traveling with work and would not be home until the next day. The girl wasn’t afraid though, because she had her little furry friend who would lie beside her bed at night and lick her hand to comfort her. Anyhow, this night, she had just begun falling asleep when she heard a whimper from the next room. She could feel her dog licking her hand so she had no idea what had made the noise. She got up without turning on the lights and followed the noise into the bathroom, only to discover her dog lying in a pool of his own blood in the bathtub, dead. She ran back to her room, panicking and went to call her mum. She told her about the dog and cries as her mum told her to calm down. The mum said that she needs to be careful, because she had just seen on the news that one of the county’s most infamous killers was rumoured to be in town. He would eat his victims, she said, and she must be completely quiet and wait until her mum came home. The girl did as she was told, lying back down in her bed and trying to fall asleep again so that time will pass faster. Her mum would be back as soon as possible and they’d deal with the dog in the morning. When she’s just about to fall asleep, however, she felt her hand being licked again, only this time, it wasn’t her dog.
This messed me up so bad. My sister tells it better but Jesus Christ...

That humans can lick to story scared the crap out of me when I was younger.
I remember another story that my father made up. For context, I live close to the site of the home of R. L. Stevenson, which was destroyed. There is a strange little patch of nettles and overgrowth with an overhanging tree in the spot that used to be the garden.
The story goes that there was a local girl who came to the site every night. This girl was ostracised by her peers. She came there religiously, because it was a way to keep her mind at ease. One day, she came back for the last time and hanged herself on the overhang.
It still creeps me out, even if it isn't real, because near the site, there's a path that's pretty much abandoned and overgrown, apparently that's the path she used to take, and the area is just too quiet for my liking.
That story made me scared of R. L. Stevenson for a while.

The first story reminded me of a story my mom told me - when she was young, her friends and other kids would swim at a swimming pool at an abandoned hotel building near their neighborhood, until my mom heard that some kids went missing at that same hotel, and stopped going there, until one of her friends, named Paulo(I forgot the name, but my mom did mention it), went missing after swimming at the pool at that same abandoned hotel building, she knew about this cause Paulo’s mom came running to her mom(my grandma) crying,,,
My mom said to this day, no one knew how and why those kids went missing, and to scare me and my siblings even more, she thinks most of them were drowned, or trapped in one of the hotel rooms, or dragged in some secret room underneath the building-

I have a similar opposite experience of 33:15
When I was in Elementary I was exposed to a lot of action and horror films, just moderate blood and gore, to which led me to an uncomfortable bed of nightmares. Being chased by really fast unknown entities while you are really slow, face being smashed repeatedly by a sledgehammer, zombie apocalypse, typical stuff.
Grade 6 came and I stopped having nightmares. But I would always dream on extremely mundane events like taking a regular class at school. But there it started. In each and every one of my dreams I would always catch at the corner of my barely vivid dream eyes, a full shadow, pitch black female figure which from her silhouette, had Victorian era goth dress and a really long hair that would reach her ankle. Although she took this form, she did not inflict any fear to me.
I have never dreamt of a nightmare from Grade 6 to Junior High. But I would always see her in my dreams. Sometimes I would have this instances where I'm stuck at an endless corridor and I would see her and she would try to run from me and I would follow her, to which it leads me to the exit of the cursed corridors.
After I graduated Highschool, I grew up and started being mature, and at that point forward, she disappeared from my dreams. I would get regular dreams and nightmares now.
I miss you, dream shadow lady.
Wherever you are, I hope you're in some other troubled mind's dreams, protecting them from nightmares just like me.

13:40 I am not one to believe in the paranormal, supernatural, etc. But if there is one thing I believe it's in the existence of creatures beyond our imagination that dwell beneath the surface of the sea, I'm not saying kaiju? Looking creatures but definitely something, what was that quote? Just like being unable to sleep without dreaming you can't have an ocean without a sea monster? Anyways my point being I believe in "monsters" under the sea

A good friend of mine has a really good story
She was like 4-5 and was walking down the street for a reason I can not remember, when she sees an old women at the end of the street, with a creepy smile on her face, and creepily waving her finger towards her, now this was when she lived in a large city, but she knew everyone in her neighbourhood, and not her. Naturally she ran home in a panic. When she got home and was explaining the woman to her parents, it had been her Great grandmother, who died around a year before she was born (I should probably mention that my friend is adopted, and as such it was not her "birth" great grandmother). Around 6 years later she sees the same woman, but this time it was in the Neighbourhood where we both now live, well walking to a different friends house, needless to say she sped up
I should also mention her Great Grandmother was 102 at time of death, meaning she couldn't have faked it.

Hahaha. I'll never forget hearing a rendition of the "humans can lick too" story at about 39:40 from a kid on my bus in elementary school, either the first or second grade. But in his version, the licking is a more habitual activity. The (in this version) man would always put his hand under his bed to make sure his dog was there before going to sleep. But when he stands up to turn off the faucet, the dripping sound was coming from the shower, and the dog's decapitated head is what's dripping blood. The message is written on the bathroom mirror. The story was also prefaced with the man watching the news in his living room before going to bed and hearing that a crazed maniac had escaped the prison/mental asylum recently and his whereabouts are unknown.

so this just happened just recently to me and a while ago to my friend, my friends side is more interesting, so he is outide his grandmas trailer, when he sees a humanoid being crouching in the woods thats around 8 feet staring at his grandmas trailer, he gets that FOF reaction and runs inside, i saw it running through my woods, and my cat was scared shitless and i was pretty spooked, ill update this later when my parents get home so i can go and look for a track of some sort
edit: there was no tracks, which freaks me out even more, there was no sign of anything big going through there, i was looking for tracks or a sign of the creature for the entire day, all throughout my wooded area, and i was to tired to update it when i got back, so thats why im doing it 2 days later instead of 1

I'll never forget 2018 when kids were disappearing (mainly native american kids) this was around the SD, WI, ND, MN areas
I live on a reservation and I was walking to my mom's work which I had to walk across housing to get to her
There were these stereotypical church goers trying to hand out pamphlets about their church to get you to go
I got stopped by this weird lady and took a pamphlet from her and left without a word I remember looking back and saw all of them watching me as I walked away
Turns out that group tried to take one of my cousins that day but my uncle stopped them and the pamphlet was blank on the inside

7:42 That's actually a pretty common scam in my country, people pretend an accident to rob a car. That's double bad, many people in car crashes end up dead because people are scared of helping and don't think about calling the police
