Soren Andersen talks about his custom Yamaha Pacifica 502, demoing it with THR10X recorded direct to Cubase AI. www.sorenandersen.net www.yamaha.com/thr
Well that for me was so refreshing. And also the best Demo of the THR10x. I've seen. Some of the Demo's don't do it justice really but Soren Shows us what can be achieved. I also have a 94 Pacifica albeit a 112. It is my Favourite guitar out of the two I have. The other being an Epiphone Les Paul. I've also got the THR10x but must confess to not using it much because of the noisy pickups. Probably needs a service but hearing those Seymour's is something else. I don't have any pickup experience in the way of knowing what to replace the stock ones with. To see this and not have the usual shredding going on really highlights things for me. Top Video! And as for Soren, well right now I couldn't tell you who he is, who he plays for or solo but I'm going to find out. Right after I've watched it again incase I missed something. Thank you Yamaha and Soren. Sweet stuff.
This was filmed at The Anvil in Bournemouth. Cracking little bar, great music and atmosphere. Oh yeah and a very nice guitar, interesting wiring config.
he is saying "in serial" but what he means is "in-series" a humbucker is 2 single coils wired "in-series"... just connect 1 end to the other like 1 big continuous single coil, the other way "parallel" is like the middle position of a telecaster=weak and quacky.."in series" = big and beefy
Does the Pacifica 502V come with Seymour Duncan STK-P1's or just ordinary SD P90's. (It wasn't clear to me from the video if Soren had these installed afterwards as he did the jumbo frets.)
is there anything louder for playing now outside on the beach or in a loud city environment? I hear that if you can damage the am if you you crank it up all the way. I just love the fact that it battery operated!
oscargt23 If you use batteries, he amp turns itself off if you have the gain up & turn the master volume up high. This doesn’t happen if you have the amp plugged into an outlet.
guitar of my dreams for sure. would be even cooler whit pacifica pickguard instead of the strat one and whit separated volume.... think i'm gonna buy a 511 v and modifie it just like this one :DDD
Go & play that little amp, but bring cash. Thrust me, you'll want it. I'd love to hear some popular pedals like the BB Preamp, Koko Boost, MJM London Fuzz, & others {YAMAHA!!!!}. If you want me to buy a Pacifica, bring back the 24 fret ones from the 80's, offer it for around $600 to $800 US & maybe I'll buy one!!
I like Soren's way of playing, guitar sounds great. That little amp is amazing too
yamaha such under rated guitars
true..amazing brand..def deserves more attention then it actually gets..

liked , liked so much that i bought :-)
Wow!!! Amazing tones! Just goes to show you the guitar is equally as important as amp
Mother of twang, that's an allucinating tone..! 700+euros for a mexican made cheap stratocaster vs 600-euros for a beautiful pacifica, Jesus Christ!
Get the Yamaha, value for money is unbelievable.
Well, the video definitely sold me on that Seymour Duncan p90 for my Les Paul Jr!
This guy is priceless. "From parallel to serious..." I need to call my philosophy prof fast...LOL!
That he says at 2:28? He says serial? sounds like cereal tho.. :b

I was wondering the same thing, my guess is they were added like the jumbo frets

Why they keep making strat style guitars with the volume to high for. Gets write in the way. Good video
Such a versatile guitar. People r just upset he didnt play metal chuggs lol
So it's a humbucker with series/parallel wiring in the size of a P90 not actually a P90?
it goes in production....limited 450 pieces!!!! Only 600 euro's!!
Really wish Yamaha still made the 502v so hard to find used, they get snatched up.fast
are the stock 502v Pacifica P90s stacked as well as noiseless? thanks
Was the solo album ever released?

5:00 minutes of the pickups and nothing about the guitar or amp?
