Do you have an updated video where you actually drain 9 quarts? This method does not work with the 2023 Nissan rogue .... From my research I don't see anybody who's actually done it correctly. But I'm still looking!
I am about to do this procedure. After refilling the 4 quarts, was performance normal? Did the fluid removed look a different color / worn ? Thanks !!! I too am concerned after watching this video since he talks about 9 quarts of fluid in his CVT. Cheers!!!
I can't find any information on the filter replacement. I have a 2021 and I want to replace the filter at 41K and then do the drain and fill after that. Does it have a 2nd cartridge filter external like the 2nd generations as well or just the internal pan filter?
@@protipsplus@fixaajets I believe I found the numbers: pan gasket 31397X230A ; pan filter 31728X230A ; cartridge gasket 31338X230A and cartridge filter 317261XF00
The fluid level check port and plug on the Xtronic are located... 1. On the driver's side, ~ 3 inches from the front of the transmission. 2. ~2 inches above the fluid pan seal. 3. The plug requires a large hex tool to turn. 4. On a flat surface, normal operating temperature, engine running, transmission in neutral, open port, and drain until fluid flows to a trickle. 5. Close port before fluid stops trickling.
@@protipsplus I'm aiming for the spring, but I'm gathering my materials right now. I'm currently at 20K for my '23 Rogue SV. Ordered new Yokohama Ascend LX tires today, too. I really like this vehicle; it does well in the snow, even for an FWD. It's perfect for me and I plan to have it for a while. I'm taking care of it so it can take care of me.
I got the same exact 2023 with the 30k miles on it but my dealer said that it needs to be replaced every 60k Im confused cuz i found nothing on owner manual

The cover was a manufacturing decision by Nissan to make it way more difficult for the owner to work on his vehicle and dealerships make more money off the consumer!
Absolutely not. Hardly anyone does their own maintenance and who says a Nissan dealer would get the maintenance business anyway. It's for aerodynamics and possibly some sound insulation to minimize road noise. The vast majority of modern cars have these panels.
Its just a couple more clips to remove that underbody cover entirely, then its out of your way.
Great video! Thanks for it! All I am missing now is the CVT Fluid and ready to do it!
The 18 plastic clips and 2 bolts is a lot of work for oil change there must be easyer way my 2019 rogue does not have this 😩
Great post. Thanks!
Mine only took 4 quarts
what year car?
Drained only 4 quarts from mine also. 2022 Rogue.

I haven't filmed a full filter change video for the 2023 Rogue. See. ruclips.net/video/nzDBP8I--ac/видео.htmlfeature=shared
Only 4 quarts drained from way wife’s 2022 Rogue. Wondering if I’m not doing something correctly…

4 quarts sounds about right he said hypothetically.
You've gotten segments in there that you've edited that are not there

I think this will address your need. Great question.
What about the filter
The video description has been updated. See: amzn.to/4ahDFFy. Great Question!!
How do you check the fluid level on the cvt on a '23 Rouge SV?

@7:15 what about the drain plug gasket?? Can't find it anywhere. Got a part number for any local auto parts store?
@@protipsplus Yep, just got back from the dealership, it’s the same gasket as the oil drain plug. 11026-JA00A

Ok, I see in the video you used a 19mm, but you mention in the comments that a 22mm is needed. 🤷🏼♂️
Does it have to be a dealer cvt transmission fluid or any brand is for cvt transmission fluid
Thank you.
You're welcome! Let me know how it turns out.

@@protipsplus I'm just doing a preemptive drain and fill with synthetic CVT fluid, because the Nissan CVT oil is trash.
My 2021 rogue with 2.5L had 3.5qts that came out of the transmission
Sounds about right. 3.5 out 3.5 in.
So how many quarts did you remove. Why you did not show the drain of oil?
Bad information
Most commenters drain about 4.5 quarts. You got this.
