    How often do you think you'll need refill the water? I imagine there's quite a bit of splash that's not recollected.

    • @HomeProHero
      @HomeProHero  2 года назад +1

      Good point! I ran it for about 8hrs straight an it lost half of the tank. With that said I plan to silicone the pipe to the pump where it enters the tank. That will allow the tank to fill higher (after adjusting the water float). If I had to do it again I would buy a bigger tank or maybe even a liner. Cut the opening a little wider to collect the splash more. But this fountain will only run when we are out there which is a couple times a week right now. Didn't want to break the bank on a bigger tank for a part-time fountain :) Thanks for the comment make sure you subscribe to see more!

    I like this a lot. I sub to another channel and used his videos to create a small waterfall feature in our yard (about 5 feet from top to bottom, ending with a 15ish inch drop into a small 20gal pond, right behind our campfire pit). Here's his design of the same idea: ruclips.net/video/GPhFZXCj8Ak/видео.html. I love water features, feel like they just add so much to a yard. Really makes it feel less like you're in the city and more like you're just out in the woods far away from the noise and smells. Which for us, that's kind of vital for the time being. (tangent: I mentioned elsewhere my health problems, so for now it's the best we got. We upgraded my truck and got a 35' camping trailer last summer so we could spend a year on the road (I work full-time remote), but with my health issues that plan is on hold. We eventually want to hit every state in the lower 48. Hoping to leave this year, but we don't know.) Anyway, love the water features. I'd like to do something similar to this on a smaller scale in our front somewhere, but I feel like my neighbors would hate it because of our location and loss of water (we're in Eagle Mountain, Ut. where we've been experiencing years and years of severe draught).

    Looks fantastic. I would’ve like to see how you got the water to flow evenly from one end to the other, and how you installed the hose in the frame. I am trying to build one and working on that part.

    • @HomeProHero
      @HomeProHero  2 года назад +1

      I started with small holes at like 1/16. I think 17 holes. I set the pump at the lowest speed. Tested the flow wasn't happy so I turned off the pump and drilled the holes at 1/8. Once again not enough. So I did the same thing several times and settled on 1/8 holes. The pump is still at the lowest setting so I could go bigger or increase the pump flow but 17 holes at 1/8 holes gave me what I was looking for. I kept the flow on the pump at lowest so if my holes got to big while testing I could always increase the flow and not ruin the pipe already installed. Hope this helps. Please subscribe thanks! HPH

      Really? Too loud or just corny :) I was told in other videos to add music :) Thanks for the feedback!

    • @Aedalas
      @Aedalas 2 года назад

      @@HomeProHero The volume is okay I think, I just really believe there shouldn't be anything but diegetic sounds in these types of videos, it's kind of distracting and doesn't add anything. Personally I'm not a fan of the music choice either though I couldn't really explain why. It's a little too chill maybe? Just not something you'd associate with playing with power tools. It's also very generic and obviously something from the free use sources.
      Even on the parts that are sped up I think the tool sounds work better, but you'd be coming pretty close to copying Diresta's style there. I personally don't see a problem with that, it's not like he owns the style or anything, but you might hear complaints if you did it too. It does work well though.
      Anyway it's your channel, do what you like. I can't speak for anybody but me, others may prefer the music.
