Skull (the sister) had previously seen Dead Meat's Kill Count video for Hereditary a few years ago, and remembers two or three scenes but doesn't know the details about the film. On the other hand, Dark (the brother) doesn't know anything about the film.
She won Best Lead Actress for this in Blogos de Oro, Best Actress for this at the BOFCA’s, Best Actress for this at CFCA Awards, Best Actress for this at DFCS Awards, Best Actress for this at DFCC Awards, Best Actress for this at Fangoria Chainsaw Awards, Best Actress for this at Fright Meter Awards, Best Actress for this at the GAFCA Awards, Best Actress of the Year for this at the Golden Schmoes, Best Actress for this at Gotham Independent Film Awards, Best Actress for this at HFCS (Hawaii Film Critics Society) Awards, Best Actress for this at HFCS (Houston Film Critics Society) Awards, Best Lead Performer In A Movie for this at IGN Awards, Best Actress for this at Halfway Awards… I could keep going. Shall I?
The bedroom scene with the possessed mother in the corner is an incredible reverse jump scare. She's there all the time and gives you chills when she's about to finish.
"they're demons okay, they can arrange stuff" is such a hilarious thing to say. The "fucks" that came from you two are exactly the same as me in the theatre. A brilliant horror film.
Love that you both didn't overtalk and thank you to the film analysis as well. One point that you picked on that I haven't heard brought up is that Annie is dressed in 1 scene in a very similar fashion as her mother. Thank you. What a film and Director.
I remember telling my wife to tell me nothing of this movie when going to see it in the movies when it came out. 10 minutes in... I asked her "What the hell have you gotten me into?" You just know from the beginning this is a new level of film.
Yep, Joan was in the meeting at the beginning 😊 everything that happened was controlled by the cult and Paimon, hence why in the shots displaying the house from a distance towards the end of the movie, you could see more and more naked people pop up standing outside it
Great reaction to true tension horror. The sort of thing that lets your imagination do half the work, so makes it 1 million times worse A bit of geekdom here for you to help settle your mind The lore regarding Paimon in this is nearly spot on. They have only made a couple of little changes. 1. Paimon is 1 of 9 Kings of Hell, not 8. They changed this to tie it in with a compass direction. 2. The beheading of sacrifices hasn't got anything to do with Paimons demonic lore. The reason it was included is from the original artwork of King Paimon from history (the pic in the film). You'll see 3 heads hanging from his belt. That is the ONLY thing that even hints towards that needing to be done. As well as to add a bit more ritual & some reason for the gore. & Feth me does it add some shocking brutality to the movie. But to cover a couple of the less than obvious things. The floating bodies IS part of Paimons lore. If you go back & pause on the page about him in the book you'll see that he is able to bend or break the laws of physics. So floating is no problem what so ever. Also making his followers super rich would be simple. Again he can bend/break the laws of physics. So hand him a block of wood & he could just change it to solid gold, as an example. Hope this helps add a bit of extra creepiness to a great horror. Have an amazing week & much love to everyone from here in the UK
I love that one of your go to pop culture references while taking this movie in was Chicken Run (some might consider it a far more innocent film than Hereditary, but it’s a pretty scary film too… if you’re a chicken). 😉🐔

toni colette should have won all the awards for this performance

@@Hey_Jamie yes, continue until all have been listed lol
This is such a lovely film for all the family to see....a real feel good movie!!!!☺️❤🎉

Best horror ever imo. 'Midsommar' is even crazier. Same director.
I didn't know it was the same director. I'll have to see what else they've done.
Idk about even crazier but it's great
21:16 “Want the plushie?” ❤️😭

loved how scary this movie is
Robert Eggers 'The Witch' is worth the watch if you haven't already seen it. And his Nosferatu remake is out this December too. 👍

“You didn’t kill her Annie - she isn’t gone” - idk why but that line creeps me the hell out
The movie opens and closes with a shot of a dollhouse. The family doesn't realize they are dolls being manipulated by grandma and her coven.

To summarize your reaction: "What the fuck? What the FUCK??!!! WTF? WTF? WHAT THE FUCK!!? WHAT THE FLYING FUCK??"
ngl the support plushie stole this reaction's spotlight
Maybe more horror on the channel this was fun
We're glad you enjoyed it. We have a list of some horror films we wanna watch.
@@darkandskullwatchI recommend: Annabelle Creation, and Ouija Origin of Evil.
Epipens _start_ at $700 each and they have a short shelf life.
You to are too innocent for this movie. Lol.
Work on your editing this was so butched up it was hard to watch let the actors say a full line. You don't have to cut all their lines
Great reaction, guys! Subscribed.
