Might've forgotten to mentioned Moose/Goose but we all know that's a nothing-burger too so no biggie. This is truly PURE gimmick, don't do it 90% of the time. Even Fuelweaver is possible, sure, but the fight hardly changes as WE need to kill the hands and WE need to kill the woven shadows otherwise our guardians are meaningless (it's still doable though!).

Honestly it's weird how Wormwood doesn't have this perk when it is literally more useful than all of his lunar cultivator perks combined.
I saw a video where one guy killed fuelveaver with treeguards even before he was able to heal(there was about 50 treeguards)
It feels strange to explicitly state you don’t endorse doing this when the worst case is you get a bunch of living logs at minimal risk to yourself. It’s not exactly the worst method in the world.
I never said it was the worst method, not even close. There are just better ones that are cheaper and living logs are a dime a dozen nowadays anyways. Can we please just do what we want to do and move on?! My goodness, just because I said something doesn't make it gospel people.
Its not practical sure but it is funny killing bosses with army of trees

Try killing a boss with a kamikaze moleworm. When a moleworm eats gunpowder, it explodes. So you get a stack of gunpowder, drop it by the boss and find a way to stop them for a few seconds until the moleworm can detonate the gunpowder next to the boss

The funniest thing is that you can have those tree guardians sit near boss spawn after you defeat one, and wait till you spawn another one.

Hehehehe as a Woodie main that began playing 2 weeks ago that is extremely bad at fighting bosses, these bad boys will come in pretty handy
I know this is very late but thank you for uploading this! Now there’s hope for me to absolutely slap the bosses with ease like some people can do. This video helped me more to beat bosses than combat guides

Yeah his niches seem pretty cool and def a reason to actually play. His character before was just cool concept but not he actually seems like a fun character with friends or solo

I guess if you are up to killing Misery Toadstool, Celestial Champion and other endgame bosses, you might as well swap to Wockerbottom ans spawn 40 treeguards (as I'm doing rn)
Why do you think their expensive? The idols make getting living logs a joke, you get 6x the logs when they die. And then it’s just grass and nightmare fuel. Both really easy to farm.
18 can do toadstool deathless. 27 grass and 9 nightmare fuel is nothing to kill a hard long boss in like 2 minutes
I didn't say there were expensive. In fact, if you actually paid attention to the video I started out by saying that they're cheap. My concern is that their cost easily outweighs the time and amount needed in later fights. Practically speaking of course, have all the fun you want with this if you do so choose to do so.
But that’s the thing, you say it’s cheap but then talk about 15 tree guards like it’s ridiculous. Why is 10 okay but 15 ridiculous? Why not 80! Prep work is just planting more trees and a stack of nightmare fuel. For the 10+ min you spend on fighting toadstool even with cheese that’s seems trivial.
When did I ever say ridiculous?! I said I upped what I considered to be reasonable to 15 just to see and still didn't finish it to showcase that you'll need at least 20 or more for one fight which - to me - just is too gimmicky. Jesus people, stop putting words in my mouth and do what you like. I'm also allowed to do the same mind.
So this is great for me, as I seem to have inflated tree guard numbers. One world I've had I ended up with over 2 chests of living logs before the 2nd year spring, so I will happily make some wooden armies
And no the tree guard rates were at default

These are still in beta. Us console players don’t have access to the beta. We will just have to wait for the official update!
Update is still in Beta and will be for at least another week! Only PC players can play Betas!

You can do it, sure, but the fight hardly changes actually. YOU still need to kill the hands and YOU still need to kill the woven shadows otherwise your guardians are stuck on the invincible phase just the we would be. But again, it can be done and it will be an easy kill if you do it!

who knew DST would pick up something bout summons fighting for you from terraria
the only method i have done is using wickerbottom and her tentacle book. Which took me way too long and many deaths. At this point its better and fun to learn and try to kill the boss yourself

I see totems kinda cheap, when tree Guardians drop around 4, if I'm not mistaken, so one of the expensive items will be back, and nightmare fuel isnt that hard to farm, but can be annoying
Exactly, this is all very doable but it's still a gimmick that you need to invest some time in every time you want to do it. People seem to forget that we need to wait for trees to grow too.
You do only need 20 tree guards for normal toad

Great video, but I disagree with the twins. Took em down in 2 nights using this method. Nightmare fuel is easy to acquire and I doubled my log supply in the process.
Your Twins must've played nice as I had 10 guardians whipped in one, short night.

It does but you aren't going to fight bosses with birch treeguards.

you can accually agro the treeguards to the dragon fly if he manages to burn the idols in enraged mode
But the idols need to be close enough to the trees that you want to become guardians which means immediate fire damage. I see what you're putting down though. Could work but just not ideal.

Queens? Just make armies are spitters, nurses and otherwise and you win! We had a whole Let's Play series where we killed everything with just spiders!

Could be a viable option for fuelweaver. I know he can knock over trees so just trick him into running into a tree and the other guardians will attack. Sure his shield will make him invincible till the unforeseen hands are destroyed but even then the extra healing probably won’t save him.

You can get it to work with Fuel, yes. Pinned comment mentions it. The fight doesn't change very much though as you still need to do all the work essentially! 😅
For some reason the toadstool and lure plant on toadstool didn’t work for me
Then you didn't push them far enough. I just did it the other week and it was fine. So unless someone can point out the exact update that Klei changed it recently then it's still working.

Sí y no realmente. No se mueven. Los guardianes Birchnut no se mueven en absoluto.

Would pigmen be better than the tree guards Because its pretty easy to get a army of pig men (although they only stay loyal for a few days)
If you have trouble getting enough food for a army of pigmen, try placing spider dens near a pig village, and then then just wait for the pig men to kill the spiders.
